General Hospital recap: Anna advises Lulu to keep showing up for Charlotte

On today’s General Hospital recap:

Laura Warns Valentin to Stay on The Straight and Narrow!

Valentin stops by to see Laura who warns him to stay on the straight and narrow. He says he's here to finish raising Charlotte and needs Laura's help. He complains Lulu doesn't want Charlotte to live with him and wants Laura to talk to her. She says she won't advocate for him until he acknowledges coming between Lulu and Charlotte.  

Laura says Lulu is trying to protect Charlotte, but Valentin is making it look like she's a villain for doing it. Valentin denies it but Laura calls him on his crap. She tells him to stand up for Lulu with Charlotte, and she'll stand up for him with Lulu.  

Lulu runs into Charlotte who says she wants to move in with Carly. Lulu says no so Charlotte complains Lulu just wants to keep her from her father.  

Charlotte complains to Gio that Lulu hates her. Gio disagrees, but Charlotte says Lulu hates Valentin and she's just like him. Gio talks about the trouble between him and Dante and how he found a connection to music. The two discuss a singer they both like, until Emma interrupts and Charlotte looks annoyed. (Can the writers possibly find a different family tree for Charlotte to climb into? First Danny, who's blood related to her and now Gio, who is her brother's brother.  Oy)

Anna Advises Lulu to Keep Showing Up For Charlotte on General Hospital

Dante introduces Anna to Joe. She tells him that she's not back to work fully for several weeks. Anna asks for information on the shoot out at Wyndemere.

Dante understands how Anna is feeling, coming back to the job and promises to be there for her. Lulu interrupts to do an interview with Anna about her return to work. Lulu starts out telling Anna that there is distance between her and Charlotte. She says she just wants to make up for the time she missed but that Charlotte just wants her father.

Anna says it's hard to come back into a child's life after missing out years. She tells Lulu to keep showing up for Charlotte until the fighting stops. Lulu thanks her for the advice.

Lulu wants to bring Rocco home, but Dante says he's upset with Charlotte and wants time apart from his sister. Dante suggests letting Charlotte live with her father.  

Laura stops by to see Anna, who's finding out from Joe all of the evidence from the pier shooting has disappeared. Laura remembers Lulu telling her about Rocco and becomes concerned while Anna figures someone took it.

Britt Promises to Be Good in Exchange For a Full Return to The Hospital

Stella shows Dr Roberts around the hospital and Lucas tells Britt he's the new cardiac surgeon. Britt is chomping at the bit to get back to work but tells Lucas she has to do some onboarding with Stella and Liz. Lucas tells her to approach it with a little humility.  

Tristan tells Britt her room is available to her again because he got a room at the Metro Court. Britt argues so Lucas has to drag him away from her snark.

Britt meets with Stella and Liz, who says the board has reservations about her return but wants her to explain her conduct and appeal for her return. Stella says to start with why she locked Liz in the bathroom. Britt says she's sorry, but knew Rocco was in danger.

Stella questions why Britt thinks she deserves another chance and Britt says she's a good doctor and Liz agrees. Stella and Liz agree to recommend the board reinstate her, but warns she'll be on probation for six months. Britt agrees to the terms, including being the summer softball team's equipment manager and promises to stay on the straight and narrow.  

Brick Does Sonny’s Bidding on General Hospital

Brick drops by to see Carly and she knows he's there to warn her against Valentin at Sonny's behest. Brick admits telling Valentin to leave Port Charles and wants her to know all of his bad deeds. Carly says she's not minimizing what he's done but she doesn't know the bad Valentin and says he's being good now. She says Valentin helped save Josslyn and that's more important than anything. Brick offers her the thumb drive should she no longer want to be with Valentin.  

Sonny asks Justine if there are any current charges against Valentin. He claims he's concerned about Donna and Valentin is a danger to her. Justine says he's been cleared, and no one is coming after him. Sonny disagrees, saying someone is always coming after Valentin, and he wants him away from Carly and Donna. Justine says the WSB has taken over everything the DA's office had and has wiped the slate clean.  

Sonny continues to badmouth bad guy Valentin and how he's bad for Carly until Justine points out some similarities. Sonny defends himself then asks her to see if she can find something against Valentin. He says he doesn't want to compromise Justine, and she says she knows that. Brick calls to tell him that he gave Carly the thumb drive and is certain she'll eventually get rid of Valentin on her own.  

Valentin tells Carly that Laura is going to help him with Lulu so he can spend more time with Charlotte. The two discuss Brick and she says he gave her all the information she needs on Valentin. She says he was willing to give up everything to save Joss which is what is important.
