Games for Change is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting games and media that make a significant social impact, and it has just announced the 2026 award winners.
The Games for Change organization is responsible for shedding light on some of the most socially impactful games and empowering and mobilizing creators, developers, educators, and global partners to drive real-world change through games. Today, they’ve announced their 2026 award winners, chosen from a field of submissions spanning 42 countries. The winners were revealed live at the G4C Awards Ceremony, held during the annual Games for Change Festival in New York and hosted by actors Anjali Bhimani (Overwatch, Apex Legends, Ms. Marvel) and Osric Chau (Supernatural).
The Games for Change President Susanna Pollack said, “It has been a remarkable year for games made with purpose, and these winners show the breadth of it,” adding, “They come from studios and institutions across five continents, each one turning to a game or interactive experience to say something that mattered to them. That is what we’re celebrating– how global this work has become.” The point is, the organization makes an effort to highlight games made with a social and moral compass in mind, and they’ve announced the Games for Change winners for 2026.
