Galleria Dallas targets ‘grand customer entrance' with upgrade amid other renovation efforts.

Galleria Dallas is getting ready to greet visitors with a new entrance.

The North Plaza, which faces the Dallas North Tollway, is undergoing renovations to give it a "grand customer entrance," the mall said in a statement. It's located on the northwest side of the building between Grand Lux Cafe and The Westin Galleria Dallas.

The new site includes updated landscaping, seating and fresh pavers, along with an upgraded valet stand. Construction is expected to start soon on the project and be completed in the first quarter of next year. The architect for the effort is Omniplan in Dallas.

"The new North Plaza will be a welcoming space for shoppers to relax as they're visiting Galleria Dallas, giving them another reason to linger," Angie Freed, Galleria Dallas general manager, said in the statement.

Galleria Dallas is investing in renovations at the site as it looks to draw in more shoppers and improve the experience during their visits. A key effort is with Center Court, the area surrounding the skating rink in the middle of the shopping center. It is receiving new flooring, lighting and seating areas, as the teal glass is exchanged for an off-white finish.

The shopping hub, while losing Nordstrom earlier this year, has been adding new names such as Crocs and Kids Foot Locker, along with plans for Aritzia and Timberland.
