Manpuku Japanese Yakiniku Grill in Dallas' Lower Greenville neighborhood permanently closed on July 19, 2026, after roughly five years in business.
"We sincerely appreciate your loyalty and the many memories shared with us," an Instagram post from the company said.
Manpuku was known for its Japanese barbecue and interactive dinner experiences, where diners could grill their own meats and veggies. The restaurant opened in Dallas in 2021.
The reason for the closure was not publicly announced, but in a notice on the restaurant's website, customers were encouraged to visit the company's other Manpuku locations in California or Japan, as well as its sister restaurant, Takumi Hachi on Belt Line Road in Dallas, near Addison.
"We hope to welcome you again in the future at a new location in Dallas," the notice said. "When that day comes, we would be honored to see you again."
Manpuku isn't the first business to close in Lower Greenville this year. Cocktail bar Hide closed in April after a near-decade run. Its owner attributed that closure to permitting woes with the city of Dallas.
The Dallas Morning News reached out to Manpuku Dallas on Instagram for comment but did not immediately hear back.
