Fox News faced a fierce backlash as a guest heaped praise on Donald Trump.
During an appearance on The Big Weekend Show, Andrew Giuliani gave an enthusiastic endorsement of President Trump's role in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final. It came despite widespread criticism of the president for presenting the trophy to Spain following their 1-0 extra-time victory over Argentina, before seemingly refusing to move out the way of the celebration.
Responding to backlash over the politicization of the World Cup, he stated, "I think today we are gonna focus on how incredible this moment has been for the United States of America. There were some people in America that were rooting for this to fail just because they don't like President Trump."

He continued, "But, I'll tell you what, that's the will of Donald J. Trump. That's the will of a man who gets an election taken from him who decides to come back from the ashes after another administration tries to take him out in every way they possibly could. The greatest comeback story in American political history, to become the 47th President Of The United States. And we got to display that here during this World Cup.
"The micro-chasms of all these incredible stories. Remember, when President Trump talks about 'America First,' he always says, it's not America only.
"The idea behind this, the concept behind this World Cup, was that other freedom-loving nations around the world would get to see the United States of America and see the freedoms, see the incredible work that we have done here, take a little bit of that freedom back with them."
Giuliani added, "If they do that, imagine how much better Western civilization will be, and spread into more and more corners of the globe. That's the brilliance of Donald J. Trump, and that's really the special moment that we have hosting this World Cup over our semi-quincentennial birthday."
Responding to his far-reaching assertions, one user posted on X, "What absolute garbage of propaganda.. who ever believes this BULL S---- needs their goddamn head examined."
A second chimed in, "How does Trump find the money to pay all of these boot lickers and idiots to kiss his a-- all day? It is disgusting and pathetic. As we just lost two soldiers to a war we can't win, $4 gas, triple-priced groceries, 13% increase in utilities and hated by all of our allies he s--t on."
