Ever since she and her husband, Cole Tucker, welcomed their first baby back in July 2024, Vanessa Hudgens has been keeping things incredibly real when it comes to speaking about postpartum.
Last year, for example, 37-year-old Vanessa revealed that pregnancy had permanently changed her shoe size, forcing her to replace her entire shoe collection.

Taking to her Instagram account almost a full year after giving birth, the High School Musical alum said: “I feel like most of you know when you’re pregnant, your feet swell up. But what I didn’t know is that sometimes your feet stay swelled up and your foot grows an entire size.”
“That’s what happened to me,” she went on. “So I gotta replace my entire shoe closet.”
A little while later, Vanessa revealed that she’d experienced “devastating” postpartum hair loss in an interview with Elle magazine, and the same thing happened after she gave birth to her second baby in November.

Posting on Instagram in March, four months after the birth, Vanessa shared a video of herself with her hair half up, with some wispy strands framing her face. She captioned the clip, “Oh cute you got bangs?” and then added, “No im just postpartum.”
She later followed up with a photo of her hand holding some strands of hair, addressing the shredding with the caption: “And so it begins.” Vanessa then shared a selfie showing off her curls and wrote, “Having a great day even with my hair loss lol.”
But this past weekend, Vanessa gave her fans a pretty exciting update, sharing a new video on her Instagram story highlighting the regrowth she has experienced in her thinning patches.

In the caption, the star admitted that she genuinely believed her hair wouldn’t return this time around, writing: “Lil delusional ol me thought there’s no way my hair will break in postpartum AGAIN. I was wrong.”
Of course, Vanessa is far from the only celebrity who has been open about experiencing postpartum hair loss. Back in 2021, Christina Milian recalled her hair falling out in clumps after she gave birth to her first two children.

She said in a heartbreaking interview: “There is a huge drop in confidence. It's a really disheartening experience. I had times where I wanted to cry because I wasn't sure if I'd ever have my hair grow back again.”
