Calling all professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners: Miramar’s premier networking event is back for another season.
The mayor’s series First Fridays: Network and Chill resumes Friday, Aug. 7, with headliner Tiffany Willis, former Starbucks senior vice president of investor relations, Fortune 100 executive and Amazon bestselling author of “Own Your Narrative.”
The event is scheduled for 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Chase Bank in Fountains of Miramar.
Willis is now an inspirational speaker and CPA who shares her story of overcoming homelessness as a teen mom and rising above trials to arrive on the global corporate stage.
She will share practical leadership skills, background on her personal brand and advice for creating opportunities for growth.
“First Fridays: Network & Chill reflects our commitment to investing in the people who drive Miramar’s economy, our entrepreneurs, professionals, innovators and aspiring business leaders,” Mayor Wayne M. Messam said in a news release.
“The fall season continues that mission by providing access to nationally recognized speakers, valuable networking opportunities and real conversations that inspire growth, collaboration and success.”
Messam hosts the free event on the first Friday of every month, with past speakers including Maurice “Trick Daddy” Young, Christopher Smith of Sistrunk Smitty’s Wings, comedian Pretty Vee and Black Ambition CEO Felecia Hatcher.
First Fridays: Network and Chill is designed to bring industry leaders to Miramar to help locals expand their professional networks and exchange ideas.
