Archie Goodwin's time in Lexington was memorably unlucky, as he took part in a 21-12 season Kentucky season that culminated in a shocking loss in the first round of the NIT to Robert Morris. That year and outcome stunned Kentucky fans, which is why Goodwin's return to La Familia last season was so sweet.
Upon his return to Lexington, Goodwin led La Familia on a memorable run with priority on the offensive end. He basically served as the head of the former Cats, and his stature in post-game interviews posed that of a leader. But good things rarely last forever, even in TBT.
Goodwin, after committing to La Familia for this season, has been radio silent through two games. Following the team's blowout loss to The Ville last night, Kentucky alumni (and former La Familia player himself) Aaron Harrison had enough.
Without naming names - Goodwin isn't the only no-show - Harrison took to X to sound off on guys being absent.
"I don't see how you can say you will show up and be committed... then don't show at all the week of????," Harrison questioned. "We could've gotten different players that wanted to play and not play with [people's] time."

Again, Archie was initially committed and on the roster for this summer's season; he was unavailable for the first game for personal reasons, but it was announced he would be available ahead of game two.
That is, until the day of the game.
News spread that Goodwin would, in fact, not be available, and things quickly deteriorated from there. Things even boiled over to the point where Goodwin himself posted a response of sorts on X.
"The fact that y'all assuming I just left the guys hanging without even knowing my situation is crazy..." said Goodwin. "I got more to my life than just basketball!" No official news has been given surrounding Goodwin's absence from the team, but after a blurb like that, it looks pretty safe to say that he won't make his debut this time around.
Goodwin is joined by big man Marcus Lee as no-shows without explanation. Stack up the previous losses of Kerr Kriisa and Reid Travis, too, and no wonder La Familia is struggling to compete. The team will return to Lexington for a decisive third game against Louisville's alumni on Wednesday.
Whatever the situation is, an official statement from the team would do wonders for fans. That hasn't come as of this writing, so the speculation continues to spin the narrative, which then gets back to the guys at hand. It's a big blue mess.
