A fifth man has been jailed for his part in the kidnap of a man in Telford, who was taken to a remote storage facility and subjected to "degrading and humiliating treatment".
Haider Ali, 22, was sentenced to seven years in prison, after he was found guilty of kidnap at a trial in June.
On Wednesday, his co-defendants, Shayyan Hussain, 24, Faheem Chohan, 23, and Ehteshan Hussain, 22, were each jailed for seven-and-a-half years, while Jawad Hussain, 21, was jailed for seven years.
The four men pleaded guilty to kidnap in January.
A Crown court sentencing in Telford on Thursday heard that the five men each played a role in the kidnap of a 21 year-old man, who was dragged from his house and forced into the boot of an Audi on 29 December 2025.
Judge Trevor Meegan said the kidnap came after a dispute between the victim and members of the Hussain family.
"That dispute centred around the victim's conduct and contact with a young 17-year-old woman, the sister of Ehteshan and Shayyan Hussain."
The court heard that the victim had been threatened in the lead-up to the kidnap.
A car was obtained by Ehteshan Hussain and was then driven to the victim's home in Arleston on the afternoon of 29 December.
The victim was dragged from the property by Shayyan Hussain, Faheem Chohan, and Ehteshan Hussain, who were wearing masks, with Jawad Hussain behind the wheel of the vehicle.
After being forced into the boot of the car, the victim was taken to the remote storage facility, the court heard.
"Access to that facility had been arranged by you, Haider Ali, so that entry could be arranged without difficulty," Meegan said, addressing the defendant.
The site was chosen because it was "isolated, secure, out of public view and capable of being controlled".
Inside the container, the court heard, the victim was subjected to violence "amounting to torture".
This included being stripped, tied to a chair, and beaten - he was left with several facial fractures, a torn retina and severe bruising.
Shayyan Hussain made demands to the victim's family for £20,000 in ransom money, the court heard, and they were told if it was not produced, he would be killed.
Later that evening, the victim was moved out of the storage container to another vehicle.
Meegan said the victim was left alone and climbed into the driver's seat, driving the car away to seek help.
'Grave and deeply troubling'
Meegan said the victim had suffered "profound and enduring consequences," experiencing symptoms of PTSD, anxiety and depression, as well as social withdrawal, disturbed sleep and flashbacks.
Addressing Haider Ali during sentencing, Meegan acknowledged that Ali had a less direct role, but said he was still an "essential facilitator" of the kidnap.
"You provided premises for the purposed of the detention," he said.
"You masked yourself before entering the unit.
"Although you were not present for the full course of violence, your involvement was knowing and intentional."
He said the storage unit had been "central" to the planned detention.
"Your assistance continued after the kidnapping commenced."
Describing it as "violent and frightening, and a "grave a deeply troubling offence", Meegan passed a sentence of seven years.
