East Idaho News Journalist Nate Eatonwrote that Patrick Clancy is remarried and living in New York. In a New Yorker magazine article, Patrick would not comment on his marital status, however. And Fox News described Patrick Clancy as Lindsay's husband in a news story on the trial on July 19. It reports that Patrick is expected to testify in Lindsay's defense.
"Pat preferred not to comment on the status of his marriage, out of deference to Lindsay, but his mother told me, 'He has to come to terms with the fact that she’s no longer part of anything. She’s gonna go her way, and he’s gonna go his,'" The New Yorker wrote.
“I wasn’t married to a monster — I was married to someone who got sick," Patrick told The New Yorker, using past tense.
Patrick Clancy Lives Today in New York City & Works for Microsoft, Reports Say
According to The Patriot Ledger, Patrick "now lives in New York City, according to the Commonwealth's and defense's witness lists. He works remotely for Microsoft." In 2024, he opened up about the story in the lengthy profile in The New Yorker. No divorce filings for the couple came up in New York State or Plymouth Circuit court records online.
"Patrick Clancy’s new apartment, in midtown Manhattan, looks much like any other tidy bachelor pad. There’s little on the living-room walls besides a mounted acoustic guitar and a sailing trophy," The New Yorker article starts. "He has held on to a few keepsakes from his former life in the coastal suburb of Duxbury, Massachusetts, with his wife, Lindsay, and their three small children."
According to ABC News, Lindsay has pleaded not guilty to "the deaths of her 5-year-old daughter Cora, 3-year-old son Dawson and infant son Callan on January 24, 2023." The case revolves around allegations of over-medication.

Patrick discovered the three children "unconscious with obvious signs of severe trauma," Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz said, according to ABC. Lindsay is accused of strangling them and then attempting to take her own life, a fall which left her partially paralyzed. She has appeared in court in a wheelchair, ABC News reported.
Patrick and Lindsay's lawsuit says she had sought treatment for a deteriorating mental health condition before the deaths. Her lawyers say postpartum psychosis caused her actions, according to People. According to People, "Patrick’s lawsuit further alleges that Lindsay was prescribed nearly 10 medications in the months before the killings, including eight over a three-week period between Nov. 16 and Dec. 5, 2022."
Patrick told The New Yorker that he worries "that people will see me socializing, and be, like, 'Shouldn't he be sad, because his whole family was just killed?'"
He posted a lengthy statement on a GoFundMe page. "My family was the best thing that ever happened to me. I took so much pride in being Lindsay’s husband and a dad to Cora, Dawson, and Callan," he wrote.
