Father’s Day Popcorn Craft
Dads deserve a handmade gift that’s as fun to make as it is to give, and this one checks every box. It’s cute, budget friendly and easy enough for kids of all ages. But the best part? The kids get to tell dad all the reasons they think he’s the best.
While I’m actually still deciding which craft to feature on my upcoming Father’s Day segment on Sarasota’s Suncoast View, this one is right there at the top. The “World’s Best Pop” pun alone might just seal the deal because we all know how dads love a good pun!

Supplies:
- Popcorn Cup Wrapper
- 8 ounce cup
- Popsicle sticks
- Yellow tissue paper
Tools Needed:
- Scissors
- Glue
- Black marker
Tips & Tricks
- An 8 ounce cup works best for this. If it’s too small, you’ll see the wooden part of the popsicle sticks. If you use too big a cup, the sticks will be too short. (Plus, the template is designed for an 8 ounce size).
- I recommend a glue stick or white craft glue like Elmers for younger children. Older kids can use a glue gun.
- If you have multiple children, they can each make their own bucket or you can turn it into a fun game and let dad guess which kid wrote what.

Instructions
- Print the template and cut it out. Wrap it around the cup, gluing it into place as you go.
A striped paper cup labeled - Cut tissue paper into squares (approximately 2"x2") and crumple into little "popcorn" balls.
Several yellow tissue paper squares and small crumpled paper balls are arranged on a white surface. - Just to give the bucket a more full look, I glued a row of "popcorn" around the top of the cup. This will also keep the wooden part of the popsicle sticks from peeking out.
