Prime Video's TV show based on the hit video game series, Fallout, is finally entering its third season. The show of the same name has been called one of the best video game adaptations ever. Fans of the franchise have praised the series for being able to stand on its own while still capturing the spirit of the game that players have come to know and love throughout the years.
A Reddit user recently posted a few photos of what appears to be the set of Fallout from a distance. Although most of these pictures were from the outside of buildings, trailers, and a fence, one stood out from the rest. One of the images showed the words "Joshua Graham Lives" in graffiti on a wall. This heavily implies that the popular character from the video games could appear in Fallout season 3.
Joshua Graham, often called the Burned Man and once known as the Malpais Legate, is a Mormon missionary from New Canaan. He helped form Caesar's Legion and served as its original Legate. The character first appeared in the Broken Hearts DLC of Fallout: New Vegas (2010). While he didn't physically show up in the base game, he was mentioned several times throughout the storyline. Despite not existing anywhere other than as an add-on character in Fallout: New Vegas, he has still become a very popular figure in the franchise.
The Burned Man also has an interesting backstory behind the scenes of the Fallout games. He was originally named The Hanged Man, designed by J.E. Sawyer, one of the franchise's developers, to be a supporting character in a mainline game (Black Isle Studios' Fallout 3, also known as Van Buren). Unfortunately, that installment got canceled and he never made a full comeback.
The image has sparked a lot of speculation among fans in the Reddit thread. Many were excited, while others stated that they could do without seeing the Burned Man, as they'd enjoyed the Prime Video series creating its own narrative instead of doing a frame-by-frame adaptation. However, several users believed that Joshua wouldn't show up at all and that the graffiti would likely just be an Easter egg rather than introducing the character himself.
There is currently no official release date for Fallout season 3 at the time of this article's publication. However, it is expected to premiere between mid and late 2027. Seasons 1 and 2 can be streamed in full on Prime Video.
