House of the Dragon Season 3, Episode 5 ended on a few cliffhangers, from Alicent (Olivia Cooke) and Helaena (Phia Saban) getting trapped in a tunnel to Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) learning about Ormund's (James Norton) objective to raise Daeron (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) up as king to Daemon (Matt Smith) stumbling upon "A Feast for Traitors." Rhaenyra's reign thus far has been anything but triumphant.
Criston's (Fabien Frankel) suicide mission also sends Gwayne (Freddie Fox) running for the hills (well, Tumbleton), while Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) and Larys (Matthew Needham) reunite with Tyland (Jefferson Hall) in Rook's Rest, who survived his impromptu swim during the Battle of the Gullet. Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) trips out in Harrenhal's House of Horrors. Vhagar decides that she doesn't need a man and goes on a fire-breathing "Eat, Prey, Love" journey.
HBO unleashed 16 first-look photos to tease Episode 6, the highly anticipated antepenultimate outing in the third season. In them, we see Criston seemingly preparing to fight the Rivermen and Winter Wolves alongside his skeleton crew. One photo shows Rhaenyra and Daemon. Perhaps she's trying to prevent him from making a beeline for Tumbleton to kill Ormund after the Gold Cloaks' Slaughter Fest (GCSF).
In another, Ulf (Tom Bennett) and Hugh (Kieran Bew) are in a field, seemingly scoping out Tumbleton. I imagine Daemon ordered them to survey the city before he attempts to raze it to the ground. One image sees Daeron looking forlorn. He needs Uncle Gwayne to save him from Westeros' greatest hairstylist.
Rhaena (Phoebe Campbell) and Jeyne (Amanda Collin) are returning for Season 3, Episode 6. Maybe Jeyne blames Rhaena for Daemon murdering that shepherd in Episode 4 and is threatening to send the poor girl through the Moon Door. Please don't make her fly, Lady Arryn.
