Elizabeth Hurley shared some insight into her relationship with country star Billy Ray Cyrus.
Hurley, 61, and Cyrus, 64, have been dating for more than a year. The couple publicly confirmed their relationship when they posted a flirty photo together on Easter in 2025, and now, the actress and model says “we’re very happy together.” She told E! News in a clip shared on Instagram on Tuesday (July 21):
“We’re very happy together. We’re really enjoying trying to get this balance between America and the U.K. You know, he’s always been based in America, Tennessee, for the last 35 years or something. And I’m not even in London anymore. I’m in the country in England. But the good thing is that he’s very country where he is in Tennessee. I’m very country where I am, and I think that’s really, a really important thing in our relationship that neither of us want to be out and about. Very rarely, and for business, of course. Occasionally, for a friend or something. But mostly, we actually like being at home in the country and snuggling up and doing a lot of things with nature. And we just — nobody would look at either of us and think that’s who we were. But we are, and I love it. I love gardening. You know, he loves being outside in nature. We both love watching birds of prey. It’s a really, really lovely life. We’ve just watched the Little House on the Prairie together and we’re like, ‘we could do that!’ We could have pined in the prairies. We’d be very good.”
Hurley met Cyrus while filming Christmas in Paradise together in 2022. They reconnected about two years later. Hurley previously told PEOPLE that “family really matters.” She appreciates Cyrus getting along with her son, Damien Hurley, 24, whom she welcomed with late businessman and film producer Steve Bing. Hurley also said she appreciates getting to know some of Cyrus’ children.
Cyrus adopted Brandi Cyrus, 39, and Trace Cyrus, 37, when he married their mom, Tish Cyrus, 59, in 1993. The former couple divorced in 2022. They share daughter Miley Cyrus, 33, son Braison Cyrus, 32, and daughter Noah Cyrus, 26, and Cyrus is also a father to son Christopher Cody, 34, from a previous relationship. Cyrus said in an interview with PEOPLE last month, “I do feel at this moment a calm and a peace of mind of knowing that I'm on the right path—and certainly love feels good. I can't give enough credit to what Elizabeth has brought to my life.”
