The East All-Stars girls soccer team dominated en route to a 4-1 win over the West All-Stars in the 2026 NC Coaches Association East-West All-Star Game.
For the first time, the match was played at Truist Point, a baseball stadium in High Point.
Cardinal Gibbons High School graduate Sophia Juhasz was named the MVP of the match. Juhasz scored an unassisted goal and assisted on a goal in the first half.
It was the 34th edition of the NCCA East-West All-Star Girls Soccer Game. The all-time series is now tied at 12-12-10.
Sadie Barrington of Wake Forest High School delivered a two-goal performance. The highlight of the match was a beautiful header goal by Barrington with 20:59 to play. She used her 6-foot-1 height to rise above the West defense for a clean shot.
Millbrook High School graduate Abigail Champlin scored a goal with nine minutes left on an impressive shot from outside of the penalty box. It snuck in just below the crossbar.
The East squad was coached by Steven Barbour of Terry Sanford High School and the West squad was coached by Camden Brooks of Western Alamance High School.
