Dutch Bros Coffee opens 31st Sacramento County location with move into Orangevale

The drive-thru coffee shop is now serving customers on 8900 Greenback Lane, marking its first location in the Sacramento County community.

The popular drive-thru coffee chain, Dutch Bros Coffee, is now open in Orangevale.

Located at 8900 Greenback Lane, it is Orangevale’s first Dutch Bros franchise. The national chain is recognized for its diverse customizable drink menu and bubbly customer service.

Dutch Bros has more than 70 drink options, including its rebel energy drinks, blended freezes, lemonades and seasonal drinks. The coffee shop also has a “secret menu” with unique syrups, flavors and a cream foam known as “soft top.”

Dutch Bros got its start in 1992 as a pushcart stand in Grants Pass, Oregon, according to the chain’s website. In 2000, the chain began to expand throughout the Northwest and now has more than 1,200 locations across 27 states. The first Dutch Bros in Sacramento County opened in 2012 in Old Foothill Farms.

The Orangevale location was announced on the Dutch Bros Sacramento Instagram page in 2025.

Dutch Bros in Orangevale officially opened in July, according to Sacramento County’s Environmental Management Department. This department oversees and regulates restaurants across Sacramento County, conducting food inspections and issuing food permits. This location is also hiring employees, known as “broistas.” Applications can be found on Dutch Bros’ website at careers.dutchbros.com. The Orangevale Dutch Bros is open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., according to its website.
