Dove's Summer Revived Gradual Tan has been stocked on the drugstore shelves for over a decade now, after making its debut back in 2015. Over those 11 years, it's gone on to become an icon in the self-tanning world. However, this summer Dove decided that it was time to give the cult classic formula its own revival – enter the reformulated Summer Revived Gradual Tan Lotion.
The footnotes of this new and improved gradual tan are that it has a skincare-infused formula for both immediate and long-term hydration, as well as its loved customisable, natural-looking results. Fans of the OG formula will also instantly recognise the scent of the reformulated version as it's infused with the same sun-ripened fruity fragrance.
As a long-time fan of the original Dove gradual tan, it was only natural that our Digital Beauty Writer, Sennen Prickett, got her hands on the all-new formula. "Upon application my skin instantly felt hydrated and was left with a gorgeous, healthy shine, without looking greasy. I noticed it absorbed into the skin quicker than the old formula, drying down so fast that I got fully dressed only five minutes after applying the product – which is especially great when you're short on time," she notes.
In terms of results, Sennen says: "One layer of this gradual tan gives my complexion a subtle and natural-looking sun-kissed enhancement, without any tangerine tinge. However, it's also super buildable, meaning you can layer it to your customised desired depth of tan.
