WSYX ABC 6 recreated the same-size room with 16 adults, and volunteers reported discomfort after just 10 minutes.
One participant remarked that the room seemed larger than it appeared when she first entered it.

"When I first walked into the room, the room seemed so much larger. As we continued to stand in the room, it was difficult to move around," Holly Beardsley said.
"It got stuffy, it got crowded," added Hannah O'Riordan, "We didn't know what to do with our arms, we were trying to be in the space and think about what to do and say.
It comes as floor plans specific to the deplorable residence dubbed the "Ohio house of horrors," where 16 children were allegedly confined, have been disclosed.
The 16 children were found on June 30, existing in horrific conditions, including being surrounded by feces.
Elizabeth Siders, 33, her husband, Gary Siders Jr, 36, and her in-laws, Gary Siders Sr, 73, and Christina Siders, 67, were all arrested and charged with second-degree felony child endangering after officers found all 16 children - ranging in age from one to 18 - living like "feral animals" in just one room in the filthy home.
Officers allegedly discovered the 16 youngsters inhabiting a 12X12 room.
The property is listed as an off-market single-family residence on Realtor.com, providing additional details about the dwelling, reports the Mirror US.

According to the real estate platform, the residence has 1 bathroom and 5 rooms. The house was constructed in 1900 and is listed as 1,336 sq ft.
It is characterized as having three bedrooms and two additional rooms in the "single-family" home.
Realtor.com listed the village of Hamden property at an estimated value of $112,000.
A man who bought the home where the Siders reportedly lived between 2020 and 2024 said the family left an attic packed with children's clothes. He characterized the entire house as smelling of "urine and human and cat feces," LAD Bible reported.
Authorities had discovered the 16 children after they served an unrelated search warrant at the Hamden residence.
Authorities have since acknowledged that the children were in such a dire state that they could have been facing "multiple deaths" had officers arrived just 24 hours later.
Gary Siders Jr, the children's father, was already facing criminal charges before his arrest on June 30. Just one month prior to the raid on his home, he had been charged with four counts of public indecency.
