Disclosure Day is coming to digital platforms to buy and rent tomorrow, so if you didn’t get a chance to see Steven Spielberg’s latest in theaters, now is your chance to watch the movie at home. Disclosure Day is a sci-fi thriller that asks: What if the government finally disclosed all those alien conspiracy theories we know they are hiding from us? No need to storm Area 51! They’re just going to tell us!
Directed by Spielberg, with a screenplay written by David Koepp (who is Spielberg’s frequent collaborator on films including Jurassic Park) Disclosure Day stars Emily Blunt as Margaret Fairchild, a journalist-turned-meteorologist, and Josh O’Connor as Daniel Kellner, a cybersecurity expert and whistleblower who sound the alarm on a massive government conspiracy. The sprawling Disclosure Day cast also includes Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo, Wyatt Russell, Elizabeth Marvel, and more. Even more exciting: Composer John Williams wrote the score. Those John Williams scores on Steve Spielberg movies always slap.
Despite the skeptical response to the trailer, most critics liked Disclosure Day, which currently has a 80 percent rating on the review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes. If you want to check out the film for yourself but missed it in theaters, now’s the time. That said, before you spend $25 to watch Disclosure Day at home, you should know we expect to see Disclosure Day streaming on Peacock soon.

Where to watch the Disclosure Day movie on streaming:
Beginning on Tuesday, July 21 at 12 a.m. Eastern Time (which is also July 20 at 9 p.m. Pacific Time) Disclosure Day will be available to buy and rent digitally on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango At Home, and more. The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime the film costs $24.99 to buy a digital copy, and $19.99 to rent. If you rent the movie, you’ll have 48 hours to watch the movie after hitting “play.”
Disclosure Day will also be released on DVD, 4K UHD, and Blu-ray on August 25, 2026.
Disclosure Day is not yet streaming on any subscription streaming services, but we do expect to see Disclosure Day streaming on Peacock soon, because it is a Universal movie and Peacock is the streaming service owned by Universal.
Peacock currently offers two subscription types: Premium with ads and Premium Plus ad-free. Peacock Premium costs $10.99/month, while Premium Plus costs $16.99/month.

You might see Disclosure Day streaming on Peacock around October 2026.
The Disclosure Day streaming release date on Peacock has not yet been announced, but you will likely see the Disclosure Day movie streaming on Peacock later this year. Another Universal release, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 began streaming on Peacock about four months after the movie opened in theaters.
If Disclosure Day follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie on digital in about a month, around July 2026, and streaming on Peacock around October 2026. That said, other Universal movies have taken just three, or even two months to come to Peacock, so you may see Disclosure Day on Peacock even earlier, around September 2026.
