A 17-year-old girl from Deckerville was hospitalized Monday evening after losing control of an ATV and being ejected from the vehicle, the Sanilac County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies responded shortly after 7:30 p.m. on July 20 to a crash on Urban Road near Townline Road in Moore Township.
The teen was traveling east on a 2007 Polaris Hawkeye ATV when she lost control on Urban Road and went into a ditch, the sheriff's office said.
The teen was ejected and sustained injuries. She was taken to McKenzie Health System for treatment.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, deputies said.
No further information was available as the investigation continues.
