“Conan looking like your Irish Uncle who shows you how to steal gas from cars,” one fan said about the comedian’s new look.

Conan O’Brien thought he pulled a pretty slick move.

The comedian debuted a new hairstyle on his popular podcast “Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend” Monday without saying a word about it — and fans watching on YouTube were so shocked by his new look that they couldn’t even pay attention to his interview with fellow comedian Molly Shannon.

O’Brien is known for his signature pompadour, but on Monday’s episode, his red hair was slicked back, giving him a … uh, wetter look.

His fans on YouTube quickly took over the comment section with their thoughts.

“If this is Conan’s new look he needs a gold chain,” one fan joked.

“Conan looking like your Irish Uncle who shows you how to steal gas from cars, and gifts you a flick-knife and to keep it a secret from Mom,” another fan said.

“This oiled hair making Conan look like a strict drug lord,” another fan pointed out.

“Strait of Hormuz closing has led to Conan’s pompadour deflating,” a commenter quipped.

“I don’t know what they’re talking about. I’m 15mins in still reading the comments about his hair 😂,” a fan joked about his interview with Shannon.

“Greaser Conan isn’t real. He can’t hurt you..” echoed another fan.

Although O’Brien never disclosed when, how, or why his hairstyle differed during his interview, fans were equally stunned when he posted a snap of himself with the “Saturday Night Live” alum on Instagram. But the IG fans were slightly more forgiving, with many assuming he had just washed his hair.

“Maybe we just got a window into his styling process,” a comment read. “I think we’ve all left the house with wet hair before.”

It’s easy to understand why his fans were so flabbergasted by the new ’do. O’Brien’s flaming red pompadour is so synonymous with his brand that at one point it was the freakin’ logo for his TBS talk show

O’Brien even got into a jokey, fake spat with Anderson Cooper in 2011 in which the two men traded jabs on social media over who had the best TV hair.

“Sorry @AndersonCooper, but as long as there is blood in my scalp, my hair shall defeat yours. (Maniacal laughter),” O’Brien wrote to Cooper at the time.
