July 21

BARRY UNIVERSITY

Barry University has named former Buccaneer Juan Yumar as its new head men's golf coach. Yumar played for (NCAA Div. II) Barry from 2014-18.

Yumar most recently worked with Alto Rendimiento Azteca since 2024 as high performance manager and director of operations. He led player development and high-performance athlete management for elite amateur and collegiate golfers competing throughout the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. He used some of the top data analytics, including DECADE Golf and Upgame, to develop individualized improvement plans and purposeful practice structures. He also assisted athletes navigating recruiting, transfer opportunities, NIL-related opportunities, and transitions into professional golf.

"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to come back to the Buccaneer family and lead a program that means so much to me," Yumar said. "Barry is where I grew up, and it's a place that played a huge role in shaping the person and coach I am today. I'm especially thankful to coach [Jimmy] Stobs and coach [Carlos] Velez for believing in me and for everything they've taught me over the years. Their approach to developing people, not just players, has had a lasting impact on me, and I'm excited to carry those lessons forward as we continue building on the tradition of Barry men's golf."

Yumar previously worked for TaylorMade Golf in sports marketing and player relations. He managed athlete and collegiate golf relationships across the United States and Latin America as part of Team TaylorMade sports marketing initiatives.

UNLV

Eric Frazzetta has been hired as an assistant coach for the UNLV men's golf program.

"Coach Frazzetta brings in a breadth of knowledge to UNLV," said head coach Andres Gonzales. "He joins the Rebel golf program with a deep understanding of our culture and expectations.  I'm excited to learn from his past experiences, as well as work alongside him to bring a national championship back to UNLV."Frazzetta comes to Las Vegas after serving in the same role at Cal Poly for three seasons (2023-26) under Philip Rowe, who was a Rebel assistant coach (2014-2020) under coach Dwaine Knight.

"A big thank you to Coach Gonzales for giving me the opportunity to continue the tradition at UNLV of creating champions and competing for championships," said Frazzetta. "It was a privilege to work at Cal Poly under Philip Rowe, who was entrenched in the legacy of UNLV during his time here under Dwaine Knight. I bring the experiences I gained there to further carry on the rich tradition of Rebel golf."Before Cal Poly, Frazzetta spent two seasons (2021-23) as the head coach of the men's and women's golf programs at Holy Names University in Oakland, California. Frazzetta also spent time as an assistant coach at Sonoma State from 2018-20, working with the men's program for two years (2018-20) and later assisting with the women's program (2020-21).

Originally from Long Beach, California, Frazzetta played collegiate golf at Chico State (2008-12). Frazzetta also worked as a caddy for Michael Kim on the PGA Tour for two years.

July 20

PEPPERDINE

Pepperdine women's golf head coach Laurie Gibbs has announced the addition of Kayla Benge to the staff as assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Benge comes to Malibu after serving as the assistant men's and women's golf coach at DePauw University this past season in Greencastle, Indiana.

"Kacey did a great job as our assistant coach for three years and we wish her continued success as the new head coach at Lipscomb," said Gibbs. "Kayla came highly recommended for our assistant coach position and her experience as both a student-athlete and an assistant coach at DePauw will allow her to step in immediately and help our student-athletes continue to grow as competitive golfers and young women. We welcome Kayla and look forward to the players returning to campus in a month to prepare for the start of the 2026-27 season."

Benge spent this past season working with both golf programs at DePauw.

She began her coaching career serving as the head coach of her alma mater, Plainfield High School in Plainfield, Ind. Benge spent three years from 2023-25 at the helm of the girls' and boys' golf programs.

"I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the Pepperdine women's golf program," said Benge. "From the moment I spoke with Coach Gibbs, it was clear how special this program and university are. I'm excited to learn, grow and pour everything I have into helping our student-athletes succeed both on the golf course and in life. Go Waves!"

Benge played her college golf at Xavier and UNC Asheville.

NEW MEXICO STATE

New Mexico State head men's golf coach Mike Dirks has signed a contract extension to remain the program's leader through the 2028-29 season.

"I'm excited to announce the extension of Coach Dirks," Director of Athletics Joe Fields said. "He has been an exceptional leader for our student-athletes, helping them succeed both on the course and in the classroom. His passion for New Mexico State is evident in everything he does, and we're proud to have him continue leading our program. The future is bright under his leadership, and we're excited for what's ahead."

Dirks recently completed his 15^th season at New Mexico State. In his 37-year coaching career, Dirks guided his teams to 16 NCAA Regional appearances, including five trips with the Aggies since his arrival in 2011.

"I'm very excited to continue to build upon the success our program has shown with NCAA Regional appearances, both individually and as a team," Coach Dirks stated. "We have amazing players, the best assistant coach in Coach Mike McGilton and a schedule that allows us to play against the best in college golf. I would like to thank Joe Fields for believing in me and allowing me to be the Head Men's Golf Coach at New Mexico State."

Most recently, he led the Aggies to an appearance in the 2025 NCAA Auburn Regional after the team earned an at-large bid – the first at-large selection for any New Mexico State program since 2008. At the Auburn Regional, the Aggies finished eighth overall, recording their best regional finish since 2013.

UNC ASHEVILLE

UNC Asheville Head Women's Golf Coach Ross Cash is stepping down from his position, effective July 31, 2026.

"I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Ross for his leadership and vision for our women's golf program," said Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone. "His dedication has elevated our team to new heights, and we wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors."

Under Cash's leadership, the Bulldogs achieved several program milestones, including their first appearance in the Big South Championship match and an individual berth in the NCAA Women's Golf Chapel Hill Regional. The Bulldogs also earned the highest national ranking in program history, reaching No. 93 in the country during the fall of 2025.

A national search for the program's next head women's golf coach will begin immediately.

July 19

CAL POLY

Michael Schaloum has been named associate head coach at Cal Poly. Schaloum spent the past five years at Grand Canyon. Grand Canyon played in three successive NCAA Regionals (2023-25).

“It’s a great time to be a Mustang and we’re delighted to announce Michael’s addition,” seventh-year Cal Poly head coach Phil Rowe said. “(Michael) is a true student of the game and brings great ambition, understanding of technique and a competitive mindset, as well as connections with high-class recruits from around the nation and world. “He’s known as one of the most passionate and driven young coaches. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can inject into our program’s momentum and we’d like to thank the Duan family whose endowment makes this hire possible.”

Schaloum, who played college golf at Grand Canyon, helped the Lopes claim the title at the National Golf Invitational this past spring. 

July 17

UNIVERSITY OF INDIANAPOLIS

The University of Indianapolis has named Steve Simmons as the next head coach of the men's and women's golf programs. The former Marian University head men's golf coach.

"I am very excited to become part of one of the best Division II golf programs in the country," said Simmons. "When you look at the history, the success, and what golf has meant to the University of Indianapolis community, there is a great deal of pride and responsibility to uphold the standard." Simmons is a two-time Crossroads League Coach of the Year after spending the previous three seasons leading the men's team at Marian. He guided the Knights to 17 tournament wins during his tenure, including three consecutive Crossroads titles. His teams advanced to nationals all three seasons, capped by a program-record fourth-place finish at the 2026 NAIA National Championship, good for the highest-ever national finish by a Crossroads League school.He replaces Andy Serketich who left earlier this summer to take men's and women's head coaching job at Charleston Southern.

July 16

WINGATE

Wingate University has announced the hiring of Christian Pickerel as the head men's and women's golf coach at Wingate University. A Wingate golf alum, Pickerel has spent time coaching at Queens University and Lincoln Memorial University."There is something truly special about coming home," Pickerel says. "I would like to thank Joe Reich and the entire athletic department for trusting me to lead this program. As a former student-athlete and graduate, returning as the head coach is both a privilege and a responsibility that I embrace with great pride. Wingate University cultivated my love for the game of golf and I hope to do the same for our student-athletes. Returning to lead this program is an incredible honor, and I look forward to building upon the tradition of excellence that makes Wingate so special."Pickerel took over as the Director of Golf at Queens University in 2025, overseeing the men's and women's golf programs at the Division I university. The Royals had their highest finisher in the A-Sun Conference Championship in 2026, a tie for sixth. Queens also had its first-ever individual tournament winner in its Division I history during the 2026 season.Pickerel takes over one of the more successful golf programs in Division II. The women's golf team has won back-to-back SAC titles and advanced to nationals in back-to-back seasons. The 2026 season saw the 'Dogs win the stroke play portion of the NCAA championships by 21 shots, advancing to the national semifinals. The Bulldogs also won their first-ever region title in 2026. The Wingate men also captured the 2026 SAC title. The 'Dogs have made three consecutive trips to nationals, advancing to the national semifinals in 2025 while advancing to the national title match in 2026, finishing as the national runner-up.

July 15

OREGON STATE

Brian Watts, who led Oregon State to five NCAA Regional appearances, is returning to the program as the Beavers' head coach.

Watts served as Oregon State's head coach for nine seasons from 2001 to 2010, guiding the Beavers to regional appearances in 2003, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. He led Oregon State to a 16^th-place finish at the 2010 NCAA Championships.

Watts then coached at Army West Point from 2010-17, which included three more postseason appearances and a 2015 selection as Northeast Region Coach of the Year.

"I'm humbled, honored and fired up to lead the Oregon State men's golf team," said Watts. "Oregon State is a special place and I know that finding the right student-athletes who embrace the everyday challenges of college life and collegiate athletics will be important. In doing so, we will be successful. I look forward to continue building on Jon Reehoorn’s success as his teams were accomplished in the classroom and on the golf course.”

Army, meanwhile, had five Patriot League individual champions in Watts' tenure and he led the program to two conference titles. He went on to lead the Black Knights to five more finishes in the top three of the Patriot League Championships.

COASTAL CAROLINA

Coastal Carolina University has added Lena Spainhour as an assistant coach.

Spainhour (formerly Schaeffner) returns to Coastal Carolina as assistant coach after one of the most decorated playing careers in program history. She is a member of the Coastal Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2022.

A four-year letterwinner for the Chanticleers from 2012-16, Spainhour earned All-Big South honors three times and was named the 2015 Big South Women's Golfer of the Year and the 2016 Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She helped lead Coastal to multiple conference championships and NCAA postseason appearances while establishing herself as one of the premier golfers in program history.

During her standout junior season in 2014-15, the native of Rettigheim, Germany, set the Coastal Carolina single-season scoring average record (72.94), won three individual tournament titles, captured the Big South Championship individual title, and became the first Chanticleer women's golfer to qualify as an individual for the NCAA Division I National Championship after a runner-up finish at the NCAA Raleigh Regional. She concluded her career ranked second in program history with a 74.50 career scoring average.

July 14

TENNESSEE

Tennessee has announced head women's golf coach Diana Cantú’s contract has been extended through the 2030-31 season."The transformation of our women's golf program under Diana's leadership has been extraordinary, highlighted by our first SEC championship last spring," said Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Danny White. "She has elevated our program to national prominence and we are excited to continue pursuing championships on Rocky Top!"In her fifth season at the helm of her alma mater, Cantú guided the Lady Vols to their first conference title in program history, a second consecutive appearance at the NCAA Championships, and a program record four tournament victories. Tennessee's national ranking and record have improved year-after-year under Cantú, as the Lady Vols closed the 2025-26 season with a 138-52-3 record and a No. 21 national ranking."I am incredibly grateful to the University of Tennessee for its continued trust and support of our women's golf program," said Cantú. "Tennessee is a special place, and it is an honor to work with such outstanding student-athletes, coaches, and staff. Not to mention the best fans in the country! I am excited to continue building on the foundation we've established, competing at the highest level, and helping our student-athletes succeed both on the course and in the classroom."

July 13

GEORGIA SOUTHERN

Georgia Southern a three-year contract extension to head women’s golf coach Mimi Burke, which will keep her in Statesboro through 2028-29.Entering her sixth season at the helm of the Eagle women's golf program, Burke has guided Georgia Southern to the program's first national championship appearance in 2025, collected the school's first Sun Belt Conference title in 2022, appeared in two regionals, claimed 14 tournament championships, and coached eight different individual tournament champions. Burke has added 14 All-Sun Belt recipients, eight Sun Belt award winners, five WGCA All-America Scholars, and four All-Sun Belt tournament players.

OLD DOMINION

Old Dominion has announced Sam Gargis as an assistant coach.

“I’m excited to have Sam join the staff here at ODU and what he brings to the team,” said head coach Austin Phillips. “He is ready to get into the world of coaching, and he will bring a lot of energy to the program. He has learned from some of the best coaches in the country and we can’t wait for him to start.”

A Muscle Shoals, Alabama native, Gargis played Division I golf at North Georgia (2020-23), Stephen F. Austin (2023-25) and Southern Indiana (2025-26). Gargis then transferred to Southern Indiana for the 2025-26 season after SFA cut its golf programs.

INDIANA

Indiana has announced Emma Bradley as the team’s new assistant coach. "I am excited for Emma to join our Hoosiers family," head coach Brian May said. "She brings a passion for developing elite players, a competitive spirit, and a commitment to excellence that aligns perfectly with our program at Indiana. We cannot wait to welcome Emma to Bloomington as we look to continue our vision to win Big Ten Championships and compete for National Championships!" The Naples, Fla., native spent four seasons as the assistant coach at Florida Gulf Coast. Bradley played her college golf at Baylor.

LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY

Kyle Stefan has been named Long Island University's Director of Men's & Women's Golf.

"We are excited to have Coach Stefan as our next Director of Golf and Head Men's Golf Coach," Director of Athletics Elliott Charles said. "Kyle's previous experience in cultivating championship-level play while also emphasizing academic achievement will contribute greatly towards the chapter of success for LIU Golf." Stefan returns to full-time collegiate athletics following six years with Charles Schwab Corporation and Charles Schwab Bank, where he served as a financial consultant. Most recently, Stefan served as assistant coach at DePaul University from 2023-25. Prior to DePaul, Stefan served as Director of Golf and head coach of the men's and women's programs at Loyola University Chicago from 2013-15. Stefan previously served as head women's golf coach at Chicago State University from 2011-13.

 Before taking over at Chicago State, Stefan spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf program.

 Stefan played his college golf at Wayne State University and helped the Warriors capture the 2009 NCAA Super Regional championship while advancing to the NCAA Division II National Championships for the first time in program history.

July 10

ILLINOIS

Rachel Kaltwasser has joined Illinois women's golf as Director of Operations.

"We are thrilled Rachel is joining our women's golf program as Director of Operations," said had women’s coach Renee Slone. "She served as our academic counselor from 2021-23 and her attention to detail, organizational skill, creativity, and ability to plan ahead were impressive. This skill set will enable her to thrive in this position."

Kaltwasser began at Illinois in August of 2020 and has worked in academic services for the last six years. Her most recent responsibilities as Associate Director of Academic Services included serving as an academic counselor for football, women's basketball, and women's gymnastics, as well as overseeing the Young Professional Development Program. In this role, she monitored student-athlete academic progress, eligibility, and conducted one-on-one advising sessions.

"I am so grateful for the opportunity to continue my journey with Illinois Athletics as the Director of Operations for women's golf," shared Kaltwasser.

Prior to joining the Fighting Illini, Kaltwasser worked for two years as a graduate assistant in the student-athlete services department at Bowling Green State University. A native of Belleville, Illinois, Kaltwasser was a student-athlete at McKendree University from 2014-18, where she was part of the women's soccer team.

CHARLESTON SOUTHERN

Charleston Southern head men's and women's golf coach Andy Serketich has announced the hiring of Caroline Tragesser as an assistant coach for the Buccaneers golf programs.Tragesser joins the CSU staff following a collegiate playing career at both the Division I and Division II levels.

"We are so excited to welcome Caroline to our coaching staff," said Serketich. "She has tremendous character and will fit in perfectly with the culture we are building. She is also passionate about coaching and player development, two things we were looking for in this position. We are excited to get to work soon! Go Bucs!"Tragesser recently completed her playing career at Longwood University. Prior to Longwood, Tragesser spent four seasons at Ohio Dominican University.

NOVA SOUTHEASTERN

Nova Southeastern University, a Div. II school, announced head men's golf coach Joey Marino has signed a three-year contract extension. Under Marino's leadership the Sharks have made multiple national championship appearances and won an NCAA title in 2023.

Marino enters his tenth year as head coach at Nova Southeastern this year.

July 9

METHODIST

Methodist University has announced the return of Tom Inczauskis as head coach of the Monarch women's golf program. In addition to leading the 26-time national championship program, Inczauskis will continue serving as Methodist's Director of Sport Management. Inczauskis replaces Kelsie Warren, who took over when he resigned in 2022. "We are excited to welcome Tom Inczauskis as our next Head Women's Golf Coach," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Dave Eavenson. "Tom brings a very successful background and a wealth of championship experience to our program. His teams compete with class and at a high level." Inczauskis returns after a Methodist's head coach from 2009-22. During that span, Inczauskis guided the Monarchs to 58 tournament victories and four NCAA Division III national championships, while earning Division III Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride honors in 2021. "I'm incredibly excited for the opportunity to lead this program," said Inczauskis. "We have talented student-athletes, outstanding support from the university, and a tremendous opportunity in front of us. I'm looking forward to building on the program's tradition by challenging our players to excel academically, athletically, and personally while competing for conference and national championships. I can't wait to get started."

ALLEGHENY

Allegheny College has announced the hiring of Carter Hassenplu as the Gators' next Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach.Hassenplug becomes the 11th head coach of the men's team and only the second coach of the women's team following the retirement of Jeff Groff, who stepped down after 41 years as a baseball, golf and soccer coach at Allegheny.

Groff also endorsed the promotion of Hassenplug, who served as a volunteer assistant coach on his staff during the 2025-26 season. Hassenplu graduated in 2025.

"I firmly believe the Allegheny golf program is in great hands with Carter," Groff said. "He has put his heart and soul into this program as a player and coach for the last five years. He doesn't take shortcuts and shows up every day with renewed enthusiasm. He fully understands the long and storied tradition of Allegheny golf and is excited to take it to new heights."

RHODES COLLEGE

Victoria Jackson has been named Rhodes College head women's coach.

Jackson comes to Rhodes from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, where she served as men's and women's head coach for three seasons.

"I am incredibly excited and honored for the opportunity to serve as the Head Women's Golf Coach at Rhodes College. The Rhodes women's golf program has a deep tradition of success and has benefited from outstanding leadership throughout its history. I am grateful for the opportunity to build upon that legacy and help guide the program into its next chapter. As a Memphis native, I have always admired the positive impact Rhodes has on its students and the Memphis community.

Jackson competed collegiately at the University of Memphis, playing all four years and serving as team captain during her senior season.

LOUISIANA TECH

Louisiana Tech has announced that Keenan Hickton has been named the Bulldogs' head men's golf coach. He replaces Matt Terry, who left this summer to take the North Alabama job.Hickton arrives in Ruston after two seasons as the head coach at Sewanee, where he led the Tigers to consecutive Southern Athletic Association championships and the highest national finish in program history."Keenan emerged as the clear choice to lead our men's golf program because of his proven ability to develop student-athletes, build a championship culture, and lead with integrity," said Louisiana Tech Athletic Director Ryan Ivey. "Throughout the search process, he demonstrated a clear vision for the future of Louisiana Tech Golf and an understanding of what it takes to compete for championships in the Sun Belt Conference while developing young men who will be successful long after their playing days are over. We are excited to welcome Keenan to Ruston and look forward to the impact he will have on our golf program, department and University and community."Hickton, who is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was named the 2026 NCAA Division III Dave Williams National Coach of the Year. The Tigers recorded eight top-five finishes, including in all seven spring tournaments, captured two tournament titles and finished fourth at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, the best national finish in program history.Before taking over at Sewanee, Hickton spent six seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Emory University, including serving as interim head coach for the 2018 fall preview.

July 8

PURDUE

Lauren Guiao has been promoted to associate head coach at Purdue.

In four seasons Guiao has helped the Boilermakers to four NCAA Regional berths, two NCAA Championships appearances and six tournament titles. Purdue has won at least one tournament in four straight seasons for the first time since a streak of nine consecutive years from 2006-14.Guiao played her college golf at Purdue.

July 7

LIBERTY

Liberty has hired Logan Reese as the new assistant golf coach. Reese arrives at Liberty after four seasons as the head coach at NCAA Div. II Emmanuel (Franklin Springs, Georgia).

During the 2025-26 season, Emmanuel captured its first Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship and earned the program's first automatic berth into the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional and finished the year ranked No. 47 in the nation. Reese being named Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Coach of the Year.

"I am incredibly excited about this next chapter at Liberty University,” said Reese. “Liberty has established one of the premier men's golf programs in the nation, and I'm honored to join Coach Jeff Thomas and his staff. Emmanuel will always hold a special place in my heart, and I'll always be grateful for the people who invested in me during my time here."

Reese graduated from Emmanuel in 2021 and was 23-years-old when he was hired as head coach.

“Beyond his impressive accomplishments as a coach, Logan is a man of great character, loves the Lord, and understands the importance of investing in young people both competitively and personally,” said Liberty head coach Jeff Thomas. “Logan has quickly established himself as one of the brightest young coaches in college golf, and his success at Emmanuel speaks for itself. As the head golf coach, Logan built a championship program, developed outstanding student-athletes on and off the course, and created a culture of excellence that aligns perfectly with our vision at Liberty.”

TENNESSEE

Maddi Swaney will join the Tennessee women's golf coaching staff as an assistant coach. "We are thrilled to welcome Maddi Swaney to our Tennessee family," said Tennessee head coach Diana Cantú. "She brings an incredible level of experience, a championship mindset, and a proven track record of success. She has an exceptional eye for identifying what it takes to compete at the highest level, and she is deeply committed to developing student athletes into the very best golfers and people they can become. Her values align perfectly with what we believe Tennessee women's golf represents. I am incredibly excited to welcome her to Rocky Top and can't wait to see the impact she'll have on our team."

Boasting 14 years of assistant coaching experience, Swaney was most recently an assistant at Oklahoma State from 2019-25. She helped lead the Cowgirls to five consecutive NCAA Championship appearances from 2021-25, highlighted by a runner-up finish in 2021, and Big 12 Conference Championships in 2021 and 2023.

Prior to joining the Big 12 outfit, Swaney got her coaching start at her alma mater Kent State. She was key in establishing the Golden Flashes as one of the premier mid-major golf programs in the country, helping lead the team to eight consecutive Mid-American Conference Championships and NCAA Regional appearances. Kent State reached the NCAA Championships in each of her final three seasons on staff, tying for fifth place in both 2017 and 2018. Additionally, Swaney was named WGCA National Assistant Coach of the Year in 2016.

In total, Swaney has played a part in 40 team tournament titles, ten conference championships, and eight NCAA Championship appearances as an assistant coach. She has coached ten All-Americans, six Augusta National Women's Amateur participants, and five Arnold Palmer Cup selections.

July 6

EARLHAM COLLEGE

Earlham College (Richmond, Ind.) has announced Seth Kestranek will be the head coach for the men's and women's golf programs for the 2026-27 season. Earlham competes at the NCAA Div. III level.

Kestranek joined the coaching staff as an assistant coach for the men's and women's golf programs in 2024.

Kestranek played his college golf at Marian University and Lincoln Trail College.

ROLLINS

Rollins has announced the hiring of Krissy Carman as the next head coach for Tars women's golf program. Carman joins Rollins after three years as an assistant at the University of Oregon.

Carman joined the Ducks' staff in the summer of 2023. In her three years, Oregon made two NCAA Championship semifinal appearances, ranked as high as No. 3 in the country, won the 2025 Big Ten Conference and NCAA Regional Championships.

"I am incredibly honored and excited to join the Rollins College family as the head women's golf coach," Carman said. "I want to thank Pennie and the hiring committee for believing in me and entrusting me with this incredible opportunity. From the moment I learned more about Rollins and the commitment to excellence in academics, athletics, and developing outstanding young women, I knew this was a place where I wanted to be." 

Carman, a native of Canby, Oregon, played two seasons at Oregon State before transferring to Portland State. After taking time off following the birth of her son, Carman returned to competition, winning the 2022 Oregon Stroke Play Championship and the USGA Mid-Amateur Championship. Her impressive win at the Mid-Amateur earned her a spot at the 2023 US Women's Open.

For the first time since 2000, the Tars will have a new head coach as Carman replaces WGCA Hall of Famer Julie Garner. Under Garner, Rollins won six NCAA D-II National Championships.

OAKLAND UNIVERSITY

Oakland has announced the hiring of James Dewling as assistant men’s golf coach.

Dewling, who played his college golf at Michigan State, spent 11 seasons at Brighton High School coach and two seasons as an assistant coach at Detroit Catholic Central. In 2023, he was named Division 1 Coach of the Year by the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association (MIGCA). That recognition was further reinforced when he was named the MIGCA Coach of the Year in 2026.

"I would like to thank Coach Hudak, the athletic department, and Oakland University for the opportunity to assist with the Oakland University Men's Golf Team. I look forward to contributing to the University and the golf program's success," said Dewling.

GEORGIA

Jimmy Beck has been named the assistant coach of the Georgia men's golf team.

"I'm so excited that Jimmy is coming home to Georgia," head coach Mookie DeMoss said. "He's one of the most genuine people I know, and his experience playing professionally, caddying on Tour, and coaching at the highest level make him a perfect fit. We're proud to welcome him to Athens!"

Beck served as the assistant coach at Ohio State University since April 2023. 

"I am truly grateful and honored to be joining the UGA men's golf program," Beck said "My wife, Hannah, and I are beyond excited to get back to our roots in Georgia and raise our son Niko closer to family. Having grown up in Columbus, Georgia, I've always had an immense amount of respect for the UGA golf program and the legacy Coach Haack and Coach Douglas have left. I want to thank Mookie for entrusting me with this opportunity and helping make Athens home."

Beck was a four-year letterwinner for current Ohio State head coach Jay Moseley at Kennesaw State from 2011-15 and played professional golf until returning to the collegiate ranks to begin his coaching career at OSU. Following graduation, Beck served as a volunteer assistant coach at KSU for the fall semester before embarking on a professional golf career over the next four years.

HOPE INTERNATIONAL

Hope International, located in Fullerton, Calif., has announced that Jeff Anderson has been named the new head men's and women's golf coach. Hope International competes at the NAIA level.

Anderson most recently served for eight seasons as the head coach at Vanguard, which competed in both the GSAC and PacWest Conferences at both the NAIA and NCAA Division II levels, respectively.

"I am deeply honored and humbled to be named the new Head Golf Coach at Hope International University," said Anderson. "I am grateful to God for the opportunity to serve at a Christ-centered institution that is committed to developing students academically, athletically and spiritually. I look forward to building meaningful relationships with our student-athletes, pursuing excellence on the course, and helping them grow into leaders who reflect Christ in all that they do."

Anderson also has held the position of head golf coach at Pacifica Christian High School since 2014. He spent one season as the head coach for the Biola University men's golf team.

ARIZONA

Arizona men's golf has added former Washington and UAB head coach Alan Murray as associate head coach. Murray was the head coach at UW for the past 10 seasons.

"I'm excited to join Coach Anderson and become part of the Arizona Men's Golf program," Murray said. "This is one of the premier and most respected programs in college golf, and I'm eager to get started and help build upon the great work done by Coach Anderson, Coach Walton and so many outstanding coaches before them. I've long admired the job Jim has done here and the vision he brings to the program. The opportunity to work closely with him, learn from him and collaborate with such talented student-athletes and people across Arizona Athletics is incredibly energizing. I'm looking forward to getting to work." 

During his time leading the Huskies, Murray guided the program to five NCAA Regional appearances and 12 team tournament victories while developing three All-Americans and 12 all-conference selections. His 2021-22 squad captured the Pac-12 Championship.

Prior to Washington, Murray earned Golfweek National Coach of the Year honors in 2014 at UAB and led the Blazers to their first NCAA Regional title in 2015. After starting his coaching career in 2011 as an assistant with the Blazers, Murray was named interim head coach in 2013 and permanent head coach in 2015. He led the Blazers to an NCAA Regional appearance all three seasons as head coach and a 21st place finish at the 2014 NCAA Championship, the second-best finish in UAB history.

A native of Ireland, Murray played collegiately at Toledo (1998-2002), where he earned All-MAC honors and helped lead the Rockets to a conference championship in 2002.

TULSA

The University of Tulsa has announced the hiring of Klara Karteus as assistant women’s golf coach for the Golden Hurricane.

"Klara brings an incredible energy and passion for coaching that is impossible to miss," remarked Head Coach Mike Roters. "Her wealth of golf knowledge, teaching experience, and commitment to developing student-athletes make her a perfect fit for our program. I'm thrilled to welcome her to Tulsa and can't wait to get to work alongside her. The future is bright, and I'm excited to see what we can accomplish together as we continue building Tulsa Women's Golf."

"Coming to Tulsa somehow feels like coming home," Karteus said. "Six years ago, I left Switzerland to chase a dream of playing college golf. At Iowa, Mike became one of the biggest influences on my journey, not just as a golfer, but as a person. He helped shape my game, but more importantly, he gave me stability, belief, and confidence during one of the biggest transitions of my life.

Karteus joins the Golden Hurricane after serving as a PGA Associate Golf Professional at the Athens Country Club in Athens, Ga. Prior to joining the Athens County Club, she served as a PGA Associate Golf Professional at Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

She played college golf at the University of Iowa before transferring to Old Dominion to finish out her collegiate career.

LIPSCOMB UNIVERSITY

Lipscomb University has announced the appointment of Kacey Dalpes as head coach of the Bisons women's golf program. Dalpes brings more than seven years of NCAA coaching experience at both the Division I and Division II levels.

"This position attracted exceptional candidates from across the country, and Kacey Dalpes rose to the top," said Philip Hutcheson, Director of Athletics. "Her championship experience at both Indianapolis and Pepperdine, combined with her commitment to faith-based student development, makes her the perfect fit for Lipscomb women's golf."

Dalpes joins Lipscomb after three seasons as assistant coach at Pepperdine University, where she helped guide the Waves to the 2026 NCAA Championship match play quarterfinals—a T-5th finish nationally. While an assistant coach, Dalpes helped Pepperdine capture the 2026 West Coast Conference title, finish second at the NCAA Stanford Regional, win three tournaments and develop three All-Americans in a single season.

Prior to Pepperdine, Dalpes spent four seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Indianapolis, where she played an instrumental role in building one of Division II golf's premier programs. She helped guide the Greyhounds to the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship and contributed to multiple Great Lakes Valley Conference and regional championships. Her exceptional work earned her Division II Golf Pride Grips WGCA Assistant Coach of the Year honors in both 2018 and 2020.

Dalpes played her college golf at New Mexico State from 2012 to 2017.

VANDERBILT

Vanderbilt women’s golf has hired Ryan Ashburn Cody as the Commodores’ assistant coach heading into the 2026-27 campaign.

Ashburn Cody joins Vanderbilt after serving as the head coach at Charlotte from 2021-25. She led the Niners to a program-record 99-45-4 mark in her final season, culminating in a second-place finish at the American Athletic Conference Championship. She also led the UAB women’s golf program for three seasons.

“We are fortunate to have Ryan joining our staff and I can’t wait to see the immediate impact she will have on our program but more importantly on our young ladies,” said Vanderbilt head coach Greg Allen.  “It’s not often a head coach can hire an assistant that’s already been a head coach at two different universities.”

“I am incredibly honored and grateful for the opportunity to ​join Vanderbilt women's golf,” Ashburn Cody said. “After stepping away from coaching, I have had the privilege of serving in the National Commodore Club over the past year. I want to thank Mark Carter and the entire NCC staff for an experience that has only deepened my appreciation for this university, its people and its commitment to excellence. The gratitude I have for this past year has made the opportunity to return to coaching at Vanderbilt even more meaningful.”

Ashburn Cody, who played her college golf at Stetson, began her coaching career as an assistant at Campbell in the 2014-15 season.

SAINT JOHN’S

Casey Vangsness has bee announced as the new head golf coach at (NCAA Div. III) Saint John's University in Minnesota. Vangsness replaces Chris Howe, who left in May after three seasons to be the hockey director for the Fargo (N.D.) Youth Hockey Association.

Vangsness has served as the lead instructor at Swedberg Golf Academy in his hometown of Alexandria, Minn., since December 2024 and was the head golf professional at Minnewaska Golf Club in Glenwood, Minn., from 2020 to 2024. Prior to those positions, Vangsness was the assistant golf professional at Minneapolis Golf Club (2018) and at Minnewaska G.C. (2017). He also served as an assistant coach at SJU during the 2016-17 season.

"Having experienced firsthand what makes Saint John's so special as a student-athlete, I am now honored to lead the golf program as its head coach," Vangsness said. "SJU's golf tradition runs deep with an exceptional group of proud alumni. My vision is to build on that foundation and attract, recruit and develop outstanding student-athletes who love to compete.

Vangsness, who played hie college golf at Saint John’s, was a two-time Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-American. He was the 2011 MIAC Freshman of the Year and the MIAC Player of the Year as a senior in 2014.

FLORIDA GULF COAST

Florida Gulf Coast University has announced Lee McCoy has been named the fifth head men’s golf coach.

“I am beyond excited to join the FGCU family,” McCoy said. “I truly believe that the sky is the limit for this program, and I look forward to building on the foundation that Coach Danna built during his time leading the program. The future of FGCU Golf is extremely bright and I can’t wait to see the program become a consistent national threat in the very near future. Wings Up!”

Columbus State advanced to the NCAA Regionals all three years of his leadership and advanced to the NCAA Championships the past two, finishing as high as sixth in stroke play and advancing to the quarterfinals of match play in 2026. 

“I am excited to welcome Lee to the FGCU family,” said Interim Director of Athletics Lauren Leister. “His winning mentality and proven results make him a great choice to lead our men’s golf team. I am excited to see him continue the history of success we have built within that program.”

A native of Dunedin, Florida, McCoy comes to Fort Myers with a prestigious golf resume. He began his collegiate career in 2013 as a student-athlete on the men's golf team at the University of Georgia. As a Bulldog, he posted seven individual victories, was named the 2016 SEC Player of the Year, earned three All-America selections and holds the second-lowest career scoring average in Georgia history. McCoy was also the 2016 Haskins Award Runner-Up and a member of both the 2015 Walker Cup and 2015 Palmer Cup teams.

McCoy departed Georgia in 2016 to pursue a professional golf career. He won the PGA Tour Canada Freedom 55 Financial Open in 2017 and captured medalist honors at the 2017 Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying School Finals. McCoy spent two full seasons on the Korn Ferry Tour and competed in 13 PGA Tour events, recording a career-best finish of fourth place.

VANDERBILT

Scott Limbaugh announced the promotion of Austin Cody to associate head coach of the Commodore men’s golf team. Cody enters his fourth season with the Vandy men’s golf team ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

"I am incredibly honored by this promotion,” said Cody. “Being named associate head coach is a testament to the culture Coach Limbaugh has built here, and I appreciate his trust in me. I look forward to continuing to push our student-athletes to reach their full potential, both on the course and in the classroom."

The Dores have advanced to the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship in each season since Cody’s arrival, while winning two NCAA Regional events in his first three seasons. In his first campaign with Vanderbilt, the Commodores qualified for match play at the 2024 NCAA Championships after posting a second-place finish in stroke play. The Dores then qualified again for match play in 2026 with a third-place finish in stroke play.

“Austin is most deserving of this promotion, said Limbaugh. “He has made an incredible impact on our program in every aspect over the last three seasons. He is passionate about coaching and spends a great deal of time investing in our players. He’s done a tremendous job as our recruiting coordinator, and our players continue to improve on the course while pursuing excellence in the classroom as well.”

Cody joined the Commodore program after serving as an assistant coach at Ole Miss from 2020-23. Before he arrived in Oxford, he was on the staff for three seasons at UAB, including serving as associate head coach in 2019-20. He was a four-year letterwinner at Duke from 2010-14. He helped the Blue Devils advance to match play at the NCAA Championship during his freshman season, and he guided Duke to the ACC Championship as a junior.

HOUSTON

University of Houston men’s golf has announced Andrew Gibson is returning to his alma mater as an assistant coach.

Gibson joined the Cougars as a student-athlete for the 2016-17 season. After sitting out his first year as a redshirt, the Perthshire, Scotland, native competed for five seasons and played nearly 110 rounds across 39 tournaments.

After graduating from Houston in 2021, Gibson competed as a professional on the PGA Tour Americas and other mini tours in the United States and Scotland. In 2024, he served as the caddy for PGA Tour professional and former Houston volunteer assistant coach MJ Daffue before joining the Cougar staff for the 2025-26 season.

“This program has given me everything, and I wanted to return to give back to it. I enjoy player development and helping young players work to get better every day. I know what our guys go through on a daily basis with school and practice, and I want to help them reach their goals in college and at the next level,” Gibson said. “I am grateful to (Mike Booker Head) Coach (Andrew) Danna and to Senior Deputy David Williams for this opportunity and look forward to the start of the season.”

TOWSON

Towson University women's golf has announced the addition of Aneka Seumanutafa as the associate head coach. Seumanutafa is a decorated golfer from the state of Maryland.

As a college golfer at Ohio State, Seumanutafa was First Team All-Big Ten twice (2019, 2021), Second Team All-Big Ten (2022), WGCA Second Team All-American (2019), Golfweek Third Team All-American (2019) and Big Ten Freshman of the Year (2109). Seumanutafa led the Buckeyes in scoring average all four years she competed.

After her career at Ohio State, Seumanutafa played professionally on the Annika Women's All Pro Tour (AWAPT), EPSON Tour and Ladies European Tour (LET).

MARIAN UNIVERSITY

After three years at Marian (NAIA), head coach Steve Simmons has announced his formal resignation from his position with Marian's men's golf program. Simmons led the Knights to three Crossroads League championships while setting a program record with a fourth-place finish at this year's NAIA Championship.

Simmons joined the Knights as head coach in the summer of 2023, taking over for veteran head coach Stephen Ford.

"The past three years at Marian have been special," said Simmons on his time at Marian. "Coming back to my alma mater to be a part of this program has exceeded what I hoped would be possible. I'm grateful to all the players and Knight Golf Families who have made these past three years the best in program history."

CHATTANOOGA

Chattanooga head women's golf coach Annie Schmidt announces the addition of Shelly Chen to her coaching staff. Chen, a former NCAA Division I golfer at Charlotte and UAB, joins as assistant coach. Chen spent the last two seasons as graduate assistant at Jacksonville State.

"I am thrilled to welcome Shelly Chen to Chattanooga as our assistant coach. Shelly brings her unmatched work ethic and competitiveness to this group,” said Schmidt. “Throughout this process, it has been clear that Shelly will show up 100 percent for this team each and every day. Her experiences at UAB, Charlotte and Jacksonville State have provided her with a very well-rounded perspective in coaching college golf. Additionally, we share the same vision of developing student-athletes on the golf course and beyond. Shelly will be an asset to this team in every way. We can't wait to get started!"

LOUISIANA-MONROE

Maria Jose Martinez has been named the next head women's golf coach at ULM. 

Martinez spent the past two seasons at Texas State as the assistant coach of the women's golf program.

"I'm beyond excited to be named the next ULM women's golf head coach," said Martinez. "This is an incredible opportunity and I'm truly grateful for the chance to lead the program. I'm looking forward to keep building the winning culture and help the girls grow as competitors, students and individuals. I would also like to thank my family, friends and coaches I've worked and played for. Their support and encouragement have played a significant role in helping me reach this opportunity."

The Veracruz, Mexico, native competed as a graduate student at UNLV during the 2023-24 season. Prior to UNLV, she played at Houston. 

While at Houston, Martinez was a two-time All-American Athletic Conference selection and held program records with a 54-hole score of 14-under 202 and 36-hole score of 133. Martinez helped the Cougars to the 2019 AAC Championship, while placing in the top 10 at the championships on two separate occasions.

HAWAII

University of Hawai'i women's golf coach Julie Brooks has announced the hiring of Jordan Briggs as assistant coach for the 2026-27 season.  Briggs, a native of Livermore, Calif., played her college golf at Montana State. A four-year letterwinner for the Bobcats, Briggs competed in 25 career tournaments and helped MSU to a runner-up finish at the 2023 Big Sky Conference Championship. While at MSU, Briggs was president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was a sports nutrition intern while pursuing her kinesiology degree. 

BAYLOR

Baylor men's golf head coach Jean-Paul Hebert has announced the addition of Clayton Brady to his coaching staff. Brady joins the Bears after spending the last three seasons at Texas, serving as both an assistant coach and director of operations.

"Coach Brady is the right guy at the right time for Baylor Men's golf," he said. "His work ethic, love for the people around him and experience as a coach in the state of Texas have all qualified him to make a big impact on our program. Our current and future players here at Baylor will feel very fortunate to have him around on a daily basis. I'm proud to welcome Clayton and his family to Waco, and to the Baylor men's golf family."

Brady spent five seasons as the head boys golf coach at Memorial High School in Houston, where he guided the program to a state runner-up finish in 2021 and a third-place finish in 2023. He was named the NFHS Texas Golf Coach of the Year and Houston Area Golf Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 2021.

A native of Lake Travis, Texas, Brady earned his bachelor's degree from Texas A&M and also spent time coaching at Lake Travis High School, helping the girls program capture consecutive state championships in 2016 and 2017.

VIRGINIA

University of Virginia Bowen Sargent has agreed to a contract extension that keeps him at Virginia through the 2030 season.

“Coach Sargent has elevated the men’s golf program to national championship contention,” Director of Athletics Carla Williams said. “The young men in our program are excellent representatives of the University and Virginia Athletics. Bowen has made UVA a destination for the top talent in college golf. We’re excited to have him on board for the next four years and I’m excited to see the upward trajectory of the program continue.”

“I’m truly honored that Dr. Williams and President (Scott) Beardsley have placed their confidence in me to lead the golf program for another four years,” Sargent said. “It has been a joy to coach at Virginia for the past 22 years, and I’m so proud of all we’ve accomplished together — so many program firsts made possible by the incredible support of our donors, alumni and athletic department staff. I’m excited to keep building on the recent success of Virginia golf. Wahoowa!”

Sargent has guided Virginia through its most successful era in the program’s history. UVA has won back-to-back ACC Championships, appeared in a school-record four-straight NCAA Championships and was the national runner-up at the 2025 NCAA Championship, the highest finish in program history. He has been named the ACC Coach of the Year each of the last two years (2025 & 2026) and this past season became the first Cavalier coach to earn the Williams Award which honors the national coach of the year in NCAA Division I men’s golf.

Virginia broke the program’s single season record with seven tournament wins in 2025-26 and was ranked in the top four of the Scoreboard powered by Clippd rankings for the entire season, including 11 weeks in the top spot (Oct. 22 to March 4).

ILLINOIS

Justin Bardgett is returning to the Illinois men's golf program as the associate head coach.

"It is very exciting to welcome (Justin) back to the Fighting Illini program," head coach Mike Small said. "Justin left an indelible mark when he was our lead assistant coach three years ago before taking on a new challenge with his work at the PGA TOUR. His strong desire to coach and to engage with our student-athletes is going to benefit our program tremendously, and the experience that he has gained while working with the PGA TOUR will complement his coaching duties and responsibilities very, very well, ensuring that the lifeblood of our program, player development, will surely continue!"

Bardgett will begin his second stint at Illinois following three years with the PGA TOUR, first as the Director of College Relations for PGA TOUR University, where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the PGA TOUR University Ranking and the transition of elite collegiate talent into the professional ranks. Next Bardgett served as the Director of Player Relations for PGA TOUR Pathways, which is comprised of the Korn Ferry Tour, PGA TOUR Americas, PGA TOUR University, and PGA TOUR Q-School. In that role Bardgett and his team managed communications, services, and relations with the memberships of the PGA TOUR Pathways. Bardgett was also heavily involved in the player development strategy of the PGA TOUR, focused on maximizing mobility and efficiency of rising talent and their access to the PGA TOUR.

Bardgett initial tenure under Small was from 2019-20 through 2022-23. He helped Illinois cap a streak of eight consecutive Big Ten Championships, with titles in 2021, 2022, and 2023, following the abrupt cancellation of the 2019-20 campaign due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bardgett, who played his college golf at Colorado, initially came to Illinois following one season as an assistant coach at Army West Point, where he helped lead the Black Knights to the 2019 Patriot League Championship.

MISSOURI

Missouri women’s golf coach Caroline Westrup Gaeta has agreed to a contract extension through the 2030-31 season, Director of Athletics Laird Veatch has announced.

Westrup Gaeta directed the Tigers from ranking 120th nationally prior to her arrival in 2022 to a school-record finish of 12th at the 2026 NCAA Championship.

"This year's record-setting performance at the NCAA Championship is a reflection of the standard Caroline has established as she's steadily built our women's golf program," Veatch said. "We are proud of everything she and our student-athletes have achieved, and we're incredibly excited about the future of Mizzou women's golf under her leadership."

CAMPBELL

Campbell University has announced that Valeria Patino has been promoted to head women’s Golf coach, while John Crooks will continue to serve as Director of Golf. Crooks' new position supports the continued development and long-term stability of both programs through recruiting efforts, player development, alumni and donor engagement, and operational guidance while assisting with coaching instruction and program continuity.   "I'm so excited to step into the role of Head Coach for the Campbell Women's Golf team," said Patino.  "Over the past two years, first as Assistant Coach and most recently as Associate Head Coach, I've seen firsthand just how special this program is and how much potential our student athletes have.  It's both humbling and inspiring to lead a group that is so driven, talented, and committed to growing on and off the course.  I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue building on our strong foundation and excited to guide this team as we push toward new heights." The 2026-27 season will mark Crooks' 37th year on the Campbell Golf staff and second as Director of Golf.  He served as head women's coach 1991-2026 and was the head men's coach for 35 years from 1990-2025. "Valeria Patino spent the last four years as an assistant coach and is the right person to lead our women's program in the coming years," said Crooks.  "She is an excellent recruiter, an outstanding competitor, and possesses the patience to be a great coach.  Coach Val has shown the energy and determination to help each student athlete improve and advance during their collegiate career."

A former five-time Big Sky all-conference performer at the University of Idaho, Patino was named assistant coach at Campbell in August 2024 and elevated to Associate Head Coach one year later. Patino joined the Fighting Camel program in August 2024 after spending the previous two years as graduate assistant coach at Ball State. 

NEW MEXICO

New Mexico Vice President/Director of Athletics Ryan Berryman has announced that Head Men's Golf Coach Jake Harrington has signed a new five-year contract that will keep UNM’s coach under contract through the 2030-31 season.

“We are thrilled to announce a contract extension for Jake Harrington,” said Berryman. “Coach Harrington has continued to elevate the men's golf program since the day he first arrived on campus, representing UNM in the NCAA Tournament every year since his arrival. Coach Harrington joins the Real Ones club by reaffirming his commitment to New Mexico with this contract. I can't wait to see what he and the student-athletes of our men's golf program accomplish next.”

In his first three seasons in Albuquerque, he has led UNM to two NCAA Championship appearances, three NCAA Regionals and two top-30 national rankings. The Lobos have won four team titles and seven individual titles during his tenure. He was the 2023-24 Mountain West Coach of the Year.

This past season, New Mexico finished the season ranked No. 26 nationally, its highest year-end ranking in over a decade. The Lobos won two events, The Wohali and the ASU Thunderbird Collegiate, while having four individual winners for the first time since 2013-14.

"The last three years leading the golf program at the University of New Mexico has been incredible," said Harrington. "New Mexico is a special place and it quickly became a home that my family and I truly love. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me and our program in ways that allow us to compete for championships at the national level. Being able to wake up every day and coach one of the most storied programs in college golf is something I take tremendous pride in. The amazing people here in Albuquerque, and all those that make up Lobo Nation, are what makes this place special and I look forward to continuing building on our success to make them proud.

A proven winner, Harrington came to New Mexico in 2023 after 10 years at Little Rock. Prior to taking over the Little Rock program, Harrington was the head coach at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, where he led the Cougars to National Junior College Athletic Association Division II National Championships in three of his last four seasons.

SOUTH FLORIDA

South Florida has hired Matt Ariza as assistant men’s golf coach.

"Matt is the complete package as a coach. His unmatched work ethic, genuine passion for developing student-athletes, and ability to connect with people make him an outstanding addition to any program," South Florida head coach Steve Bradley said. "He earns trust naturally and inspires those around him to be their best. We are excited to welcome Matt as our Assistant Golf Coach and look forward to the impact he will make on our team and culture."

Ariza joins South Florida after serving as an assistant coach at Mercer for one season. Before that, Ariza spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Eastern Kentucky.

Before joining the Colonels as a coach, Ariza played five years of collegiate golf for Piedmont and Lamar.

NEBRASKA

Nebraska head coach Judd Cornell was given a three-year contract extension announced by Nebraska Athletic Director Troy Dannen.

"Coach Cornell has elevated the level of our golf program in his first four years as our head coach, and we are excited Judd will continue to lead Nebraska Golf on its upward trajectory," Dannen said. "We have made commitments to our golf facilities that have helped our golfers succeed at higher levels on the course. We believe the commitment to our coaches and facilities will help our program compete with the top teams in the Big Ten and contend for NCAA Regional appearances on a regular basis."

Cornell, who completed his fourth year leading the Nebraska men's golf program, led the 2025-26 Huskers to a school-record 285.18 team stroke average and an eighth-place finish at the 18-team Big Ten Conference Championship.

The 2026-27 Husker men's roster will have the most Nebraska high school graduates since the 2010-11 season with four players from Nebraska

Cornell, who was a four-year letterwinner at Nebraska (2003-06), was a member of Nebraska's 2006 NCAA Regional team. A three-year captain, Cornell was the 2004 Nebraska Amateur of the Year. He served as an assistant at Nebraska for six seasons (2013-19), including his final two years as associate head coach, before becoming the head coach at Creighton for three successful seasons (2019-22).

HOUSTON

Olivia Schmidt has joined the University of Houston Women's Golf program as its assistant coach

"When I first met Oliva as a graduate assistant coach at Arkansas State, it was evident from the beginning she was a great player and a great leader. She had five wins in college and has professional experience here and in Europe," Houston head coach Rachel Pollock said. "Olivia has incredible passion and a strong IQ. She is big on 'team', and I am excited to have her continue to bring that energy to the University of Houston."

Schmidt, who is a native of Edmond, Okla., comes to Houston after serving with Pollock as an assistant coach at ULM during the 2025-26 season. She played her college golf at Arkansas State 2018-23 and was a three-time All-Sun Belt Conference honoree and was named the league's Player of the Year as a junior following the 2021-22 season.

JAMES MADISON

James Madison women's golf Head Coach Tommy Baker announced the hiring of Madison Freeman as an assistant coach on Thursday, June 18.

Freeman joins JMU following two seasons as the Head Women's Golf Coach at Erskine College in Due West, S.C. She replaces Caroline Craig (Harrison), who recently accepted a position as an assistant women's golf coach at the University of Virginia.

"I am honored to join James Madison as an assistant coach for the proud and talented women's golf program," Freeman said. "I am excited for the opportunity to work with, lead, and develop our student-athletes, both on and off the course. I want to thank Head Coach Tommy Baker, the athletic department, and everyone involved in this process for trusting me as an addition to this team. Can't wait to get started! Go Dukes!"

During her time at Erskine, Freeman led the Flying Fleet to back-to-back Conference Carolina championships and their first appearances in the NCAA Division II Regionals in school history. She was named the conference's Coach of the Year following the 2024-25 season and coached Erskine to two team wins during her tenure.

"Madison is a winner in every sense of the word," Baker said. "Her teams have achieved championship success on the course, but what impressed me the most was her commitment to relationships, player development, and creating a healthy culture where players can achieve greatness. The success she built at Erskine speaks for itself, but I believe the best is still ahead."

Before her time at Erskine, Freeman enjoyed a successful career as a player at Charleston Southern (2021-24) and Sam Houston State (2019-21). A native of Spring, Texas, Freeman was named Second Team All-Big South following the 2023-24 season to cap off her career after also being named All-Big South Honorable Mention the prior two seasons.

Freeman graduated Magna Cum Laude from Charleston Southern University in May of 2024 with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing.

Before her collegiate career, Freeman was a four-time regional qualifier at Klein High School in Klein, Texas, taking the individual regional title at the 2019 6A Regional Championship and qualifying for state. She ranked as a top 20 recruit in the class of 2019 in the state of Texas, to go along with a decorated amateur career.

VITERBO UNIVERSITY

Viterbo University has announced that Lexi Meade has stepped down as head coach of the women's golf program after completing her first season. Viterbo competes at the NAIA level and is located in La Crosse, Wisc.

Meade guided the V-Hawks through the 2025-26 campaign, leading the team to two top-five finishes, including a standout third-place performance at the RedTail Spring Shootout in March 2026. Under her leadership, Viterbo golfers consistently earned top-20 individual placements, with the season's best individual finish landing in 13th place.

"I want to thank Lexi for her hard work and leadership of our women's golf program this past year," says Athletics Director Barry Fried, "I'm glad she will remain at Viterbo in her full-time role in the admissions office and wish her nothing but success."

Although stepping away from coaching, Meade will continue to service the Viterbo community as an undergraduate admissions counselor, supporting students in the STEM and Pre-Health programs.

Viterbo University will begin an immediate search for their next women's golf coach.

TROY

JD Lamm has been named Troy's head women's golf coach.

Lamm just completed his fifth season as head coach of both the men's and women's teams at NCAA Div. II Wingate. Under Lamm's leadership, the Bulldogs' men's program reached the NCAA Championship quarterfinals three straight years, and the Bulldogs' women's team has made consecutive appearances in match play at the NCAA Championship.

"I am thrilled to have JD Lamm join the Troy Athletics family as our head women's golf coach," Athletic Director Kyle George said. "He is a culture builder with a proven track record of success everywhere that he has been. There is no doubt that JD will continue to raise the standard of our historic women's golf program."

The 2026 women's team featured the nation's No. 1-ranked player, Amely Bochaton, who won the NCAA Division II individual title by 13 shots, the first individual title in program history.

Wingate won the stroke play portion of the NCAA Championship by 20 strokes and finished the season ranked No. 1. The Bulldogs finished the season as the South Atlantic Conference Champions and the NCAA South Region Champions.

The men's and women's teams combined for 12 victories in the 2024-25 season, including the women capturing the SAC title. Lamm was named the SAC Coach of the Year on the women's side.

Lamm, who played his college golf at Pfeiffer University served on collegiate coaching staffs at Pfeiffer, West Virginia Wesleyan and Davis & Elkins, while also serving as the assistant golf professional at Old North State Golf Club.

POINT LOMA

Miranda Greene has been hired as Point Loma head coach.  Greene arrives at Point Loma after spending the last two seasons as the Associate Head Coach at the University of Minnesota.

"We are thrilled to welcome Miranda Greene as the next head coach of our Women's Golf program," Athletic Director Jordan Courneya said. "Miranda brings a unique blend of experience from both the NCAA Division II and Division I levels, along with a proven track record of developing successful student-athletes and competitive programs.

"Throughout the search process, her passion for mentoring young women, commitment to building meaningful relationships, and enthusiasm for leading a Christ-centered program were evident."

Prior to her time at Minnesota, Greene, who is from Bellbrook, Ohio, was an assistant coach for one season at NCAA Division II Regis University. Greene also coached the men's and women's teams at her alma mater Flagler College during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons. She also spent two years as a graduate assistant at Florida International.

UNLV

UNLV women's golf coach Amy Bush-Herzer has signed a four-year contract extension. The five-time Mountain West Coach of the Year will remain under contract through the 2029-30 season.

In her 15 seasons at the helm of the Rebel program, Bush-Herzer's teams have won six Mountain West Championships, qualified for the NCAA Regionals 12 times, and reached the NCAA Championship twice.

HOUSTON

Former Florida Gulf Coast Coach Andrew Danna has been hired as Houston’s men's golf coach, Vice President for Athletics Eddie Nunez announced Wednesday. Danna’s hiring is pending approval from the UH System Board of Regents.

“I have understood the rich history and tradition of the University of Houston Men’s Golf program from a very young age, and this is an incredible opportunity that I don’t take lightly. It is truly an honor to be named the head coach at Houston, and I want to thank Eddie, (Senior Deputy AD) Dave (Williams) and everybody at the University,” Danna said in a release. “We can achieve incredible success here, and I look forward to hitting the ground running. I can be passionate and a high-energy guy, but above all, I am a players’ coach. I want to create a culture where our student-athletes can succeed in the classroom and on the course, and build a program of which our fans, our alumni, the University and the city of Houston can be proud.”

As a head coach at Florida Gulf Coast (2019-26), NCAA Division II Lynn (2012-18) and Georgia Southwestern (2010-12), Danna led his teams to 32 team titles, including the 2018 NCAA Division II national championship with Lynn, and produced 33 All-Conference honorees.

BYU

BYU men’s golf head coach Todd Miller announced the hiring of Spencer Dunaway as an associate head coach.

“Spencer Dunaway checks every box of someone I want to work with,” Miller said. “He recognizes that our job is all about the athletes, and he believes in them and gives them every ounce of his energy. He’s incredibly good at making a great impression and impact on everybody he comes in contact with. He is super competitive but within the confines of great sportsmanship."

Dunaway played his collegiate golf at BYU from 2015-2021.

“BYU has a special place in my heart and the heart of our family,” Dunaway said. “This is where I found the Gospel, this is where I met my wife, this is the place that helped turn me into the man I am today. Every person has a few key people in their lives that help change your life forever, and Todd Miller is one of those people for me. The opportunity to come and help coach Miller elevate the program to new heights was one that we could not pass up."

MINNESOTA

The University of Minnesota has announced that Emily Lauterbach is joining the Golden Gophers staff as the assistant women’s golf coach. Lauterbach arrives in Minnesota with significant competition and coaching experience, most recently as an assistant women's golf coach at Colorado State University. "I'm thrilled to welcome Emily to the Minnesota staff and the Gopher women's golf family," said Higgins. "Her passion for the game, commitment to student-athlete development, and shared vision for a championship culture were evident from our very first conversations!"A native of Hartland, Wis., Lauterbach played her college glf at Wisconsin.

"I am incredibly excited to join Minnesota and work with all the players," said Lauterbach. "The program has great leadership and I cannot wait to join and support Coach Higgins' vision for the program. Working with Coach Higgins is a great opportunity and I am looking forward to learning from him. Ski-U-Mah!"Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Lauterbach competed professionally on the Epson Tour and in LPGA events, including the LPGA Ford Championship. 

HIGH POINT

High Point University has announced the addition of Delaney Shah as the Panthers' new assistant coach.

"I am thrilled to welcome Delaney to our program," Lyndsay Hunnell said." I've had the privilege of knowing her for more than 15 years, all the way back to when we competed together in junior golf. Throughout that time, I've watched her grow into not only an outstanding player, but an incredible person. After pursuing a professional golf career over the past six years, she's bringing incredible competitive experience and knowledge that is going to help continue to grow this program. Delaney understands what it takes to compete at the highest level, and I know she'll have a tremendous impact on the development of our players both on and off the course. Just as importantly, she's someone who genuinely cares about people, so I know she is going to build strong relationships with this team."Following a four-year career at the University of Louisville as a Division I golfer, Shah has played professionally on the Annika Women's All-Pro Tour for four years.

NEVADA

Nevada head women's golf coach Kathleen Takaishi hasannounced the hiring of Logan Miyamoto as the new assistant coach for the Wolf Pack women's program.  "I am thrilled to welcome Logan Miyamoto to the Wolf Pack," said Coach Takaishi, "Logan brings profound knowledge of the game and a deep understanding to course management.  Combined with his work ethic he is going to be an incredible asset to our program. Our players are going to love learning from him." Miyamoto joins the Pack from Charleston Southern where he served as the assistant men's and women's golf coach for one year. He also has experience caddying on the LPGA and Epson Tours and interned with Titleist (Acushnet Golf) as a golf ball fitter. 

Miyamoto played collegiate golf at Cal State Dominguez Hills.

TENNESSEE

Tennessee Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Danny White has announced that he has extended men's golf head coach Brennan Webb’s contract through the 2030-31 season.

"Brennan has guided our men's golf program to unprecedented heights, culminating in matching the best finish in our history this season," said White. "We are excited to secure his long-term commitment on Rocky Top as we continue working toward our goal of becoming the nation's best!"

In his eighth season at the helm, Webb led the Volunteers to a third consecutive NCAA Championship berth. Tennessee closed the final tournament of the season with their best finish in the event since 1981, falling just short of qualifying for the match play quarterfinals in a four-for-two playoff.

"I continue to be honored to coach at The University of Tennessee," said Webb. "We have the best president, the best chancellor, the best athletic director, and, most importantly, the most passionate and supportive fan base in the country."

CHARLESTON

College of Charleston head women's golf coach Jamie Futrell has announced the hiring of new assistant coach Kendall Turner.

Turner comes to Charleston from Western Michigan where she served as assistant for the 2025-26 season. Prior to joining Western Michigan, Turner spent a year as an assistant coach at Old Dominion following a five-year playing career at James Madison University.

"It is great to have Kendall join us. After watching her have an awesome playing career at JMU it is nice to have her on our side now," said Futrell. "The experience she has both playing on the collegiate and professional level will be a great asset to our program."Turner was named the 2021 CAA Player of the Year, First Team All-CAA (2021), Second Team All-CAA (2022), First Team All-Sun Belt (2023,2024) and Second Team VaSID All-State (2020, 2021). Turner was the first JMU golfer to earn back-to-back at-large NCAA Tournament bids after being selected in both 2023 and 2024. She was also named the James Madison Athletic Director Scholar Athlete in the spring of 2024.

TARLETON STATE

Tarleton State has hired Brian Dolehide as head coach for Texan Men's Golf. Dolehide replaces Chance Cain who was named head coach at Abilene Christian in late May.

Dolehide has spent the past four seasons at East Texas A&M, leading the men's golf program all four years, and added women's golf under his direction the last two-and-a-half years. In July 2024, he was officially elevated from men's golf head coach to Director of Golf, leading both of the Lions' programs.

Dolehide, who is a native of Hinsdale, Ill., has also served coaching stints at Baylor (2021-22), Goucher College (2021) and at his alma mater Florida Atlantic (2019), where he played four seasons (2015-19).

"I am incredibly honored and excited to be named the head men's golf coach at Tarleton State University," Dolehide said. "I'm forever grateful to the players I coached over the last four years at East Texas A&M, and to [East Texas A&M Director of Athletics] Jim Curry for the opportunity. It's time to get to work and bring some new trophies home to Tarleton State!"

AUSTIN PEAY

Austin Peay State University head women's golf coach Jessica Combs promoted Austin Peay alum Maggie Glass to Director of Golf Operations. Glass also retains her title as assistant coach, after joining Combs' staff following her collegiate career with the Govs in May 2025.

A four-year letterwinner for the Governors from 2021-25, Glass was a member of APSU's 2022 Ohio Valley Conference Championship team, the first conference title in program history.

LONG BEACH STATE

Long Beach State and head coach Rob Murray have agreed to a contract extension.

"Rob Murray continues to elevate the men's golf program with this year's historic Big West Conference championship, the fourth in a row, and sending the first men's golf student-athlete in 14 years in Steen Zeman to compete at the NCAA National Championship," said Executive Director of Athletics Bobby Smitheran. "This extension demonstrates our long-term commitment to Rob and the men's golf program to compete at a high level, and I am thrilled that under Rob's guidance, he will continue to lead the program.

In his four seasons at Long Beach State has won four straight Big West Championships and has been selected as the Big West Coach of the Year in each of those four seasons.Long Beach State finished the 2025-26 season ranked No. 24 in college golf and reached the NCAA postseason for the fourth consecutive season under Murray's leadership. The program has had its first three All-Americans since 1983 in the last four seasons, and the national profile of the program continues to rise.

MEMPHIS

Memphis head women's golf coach Jennifer Jordan has announced the addition of Emily Wilson as an assistant coach.

"Emily has always been a coach on the course for us," Jordan said. "Her transition to this role ensures our players will benefit from the same work ethic and strategic mind that made her a leader during her playing days. She played for me for four years and wants to see this program prevail as much as I do. It is my absolute pleasure to have her by my side to help lead us into the future."

Wilson steps into the coaching ranks after a four-year playing career with the Tigers. The Brentwood, Tennessee, native recorded seven top-20 finishes during her career, highlighted by a career-best seventh-place finish at the Payne Stewart Memorial this past fall.

"After competing the last four years as a Memphis Tiger, I am grateful for the opportunity to begin my coaching career as an assistant coach where it all started," Wilson said. "The university helped me grow so much as both an athlete and a person, so it only felt right to stay and help build this team alongside Coach Jordan. I am thrilled to mentor and lead this incredible program."

HOUSTON

Rachel Pollock has been named Head Coach at Houston. Pollock has coached the past five seasons at the University of Louisiana-Monroe.

In five seasons at ULM, Pollock led the Warhawks to three NCAA Regional team appearances and two individual qualifiers as well as an individual berth to the 2026 NCAA Championships. Her program won a pair of Sun Belt Conference Championships titles (2026, 2023) and produced two Sun Belt Conference Players of the Year in Johanna Sjursen (2026) and Chantal Dueringer (2023) as well as 2023 Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year Anna Andrysova.

"Today is a great day for the University of Houston Athletics Department and our Women's Golf program. In a short time, Rachel built an award-winning program at ULM with young women who were outstanding on the course and in the classroom," Vice President for Athletics Eddie Nuñez said. "We are excited to welcome Rachel to our Houston Athletics family and look forward to what she, her staff and her teams will accomplish in the years ahead."

Pollock previously coach at Arkansas State and played her college golf at East Tennessee State.

"I am excited to build on the foundation that has been set in Women's Golf at the University of Houston. This program has set a standard of excellence I am excited to contribute to. I cannot wait to bring in student-athletes who will bring a positive impact on the course, in the classroom and in our community," Pollock said. UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA-MONROE

Rachel Pollock will be resigning as head coach of the ULM women's golf team to take a new coaching opportunity. Pollock claimed two Sun Belt titles in her five years with the Warhawks.

"It was a joy to get to work with Rachel this season," said Director of Athletics SJ Tuohy. "We are appreciative of all she built here at ULM and wish her the best in all her future endeavors; she is a great coach. We feel ULM Women's Golf is a premier program not only in our conference, but in the nation with the recent success, our facilities and support from our local country clubs; we are excited to find a great person to lead the team forward."

ULM finished the season ranked No. 62 and placed 8^th and the NCAA Tallahassee Regional.

A national search to fill the position of ULM head women's golf coach is underway.

UNIVERSITY OF MARY

The University of Mary has named Kyle Kasitz as head coach of the Marauders men's and women's golf teams. A three-time all-conference performer and team captain at Taylor University located in Upland, IN, Kasitz also served as an assistant coach for the Trojans.

The university of Mary is an NCAA Div. II school located in Bismark, N.D.

TEXAS A&M

Matt Fast has been promoted to associate head coach at Texas A&M.

"Matt is a great representative of Texas A&M and the Aggie men's golf team," head coach Brian Kortan said. "He's a tremendous asset in all facets of the program. He's a trusted voice not only to me, but to the players, recruits and their families. I'm extremely excited about the future of this program and I am pleased Matt will continue to be a big part of our success.

The Aggies have experienced much success during Fast's five seasons as an assistant coach. Texas A&M has won 14 tournament titles during the span, including three or more wins in four of those seasons.

Fast qualified for the 125th U.S. Amateur last year at The Olympic Club in San Francisco.

BRADLEY

Kara Blair has been named head coach at Bradley. She replaces Halley Morell, who accepted an assistant coaching position at Nebraska in May.

"Kara has quickly established herself as a rising star in the sport, and we are excited to welcome her to Bradley Athletics," said Reynolds. "She emerged as a target early on in our search process based upon her outstanding achievements as a student-athlete coupled with her record and reputation as a high-level quality coach. We look forward to the impact she will have on our women's golf program and our student-athletes."

"I'm truly excited to be a part of the Bradley Braves family," said Blair. "I want to thank Dr. Reynolds and the Bradley Athletics administration for their confidence in me and for the opportunity to lead this program. This team has every ingredient for success, and I can't wait to see where the year takes us!"

Blair, who played her college golf at IU Indianapolis, arrives at Bradley after spending time as an assistant coach at her alma mter, assisting with both the men's and women's golf programs. She was elevated to Associate Head Coach for both programs on July 1, 2025, ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Her father, Mat, was former head women’s coach at Valparaiso and UIC.

INDIAN HILLS CC

Indian Hills has announced Michael Wetrich as the college's next Athletic Director. Wetrich has served as the men’s golf coach for the past four years.

In his first year, Wetrich won a NJCAA Division 1 Men’s Golf National Championship. He was also named the 2023 NJCAA National Coach of the Year. 

Over the past 4 years, Wetrich's team never finished outside of the top 10, finishing second this past season. Indian Hills Community College is now looking for a golf coach.

OKLAHOMA

Oklahoma men's golf head coach Jonathan Moore has announced the hiring of Ruben Sondjaja as the program's associate head coach.

Sondjaja arrives in Norman after three seasons at Illinois.

"Ruben is one of the brightest young coaches in college golf, and we're thrilled to welcome him to Oklahoma," Moore said. "He has a proven track record of developing elite players, recruiting at the highest level and helping teams compete for championships. Ruben's passion for student-athlete development, his work ethic and his vision for building a championship culture align perfectly with what we're building here at Oklahoma. He will have an immediate impact on our program."

A native of Sydney, Australia, Sondjaja played his college golf at Iowa State from 2013-17, finishing his career with the third-lowest scoring average in program history.

Following graduation, Sondjaja competed professionally on PGA Tour Canada and the PGA Tour of Australasia from 2017-19 before returning to Iowa State as the program's graduate assistant for operations. Sondjaja was promoted to Iowa State's top men's golf assistant coach in 2021. He joined the Illinois program in 2023.

"I'm honored to join the Oklahoma men's golf program and work alongside Coach Moore and Coach Rainer," Sondjaja said. "Oklahoma is one of the standard-bearers in college golf, and the vision Coach Moore has for this new era of OU Men's Golf is incredibly exciting. I've been fortunate to learn from outstanding coaches throughout my career, and I'm especially grateful for the experiences and relationships that have helped shape my development along the way. I'm excited to bring those lessons to Norman as we build on Oklahoma's championship tradition, invest in our student-athletes and pursue the highest level of success both on and off the course."

OAKLAND UNIVERSITY

Oakland has announced the hiring of Darin Hudak as the next head coach of the Golden Grizzlies Men's Golf Program."I am very happy to welcome Darin to the Golden Grizzlies athletics family as the next head men's golf coach," said Oakland Director of Athletics Steve Waterfield. "Throughout the search process, Darin impressed me with his vision for the golf program and his approach to building a strong team culture on and off the course that will serve as the foundation for the team's pursuit of excellence and championship success. An accomplished intercollegiate golfer who has a growth mindset to coaching, the future of Oakland men's golf is very bright with Darin leading the program."Hudak made the transition from playing to coaching at Bowling Green State University, competing as a member of the Falcons men's golf team from 2021 to 2025 before assuming the role of assistant coach in the spring of 2025.

TEXAS A&M-VICTORIA

Texas A&M-Victoria Athletics announced Garrett Adair is returning as the head men's and women's golf coach for the Jaguars.

"I'm super grateful that God blessed me with the opportunity to come back and lead the Jaguars' men's and women's golf programs," Adair said. "I love the direction the programs are going and I look forward to coaching these men and women to great heights on and off the course. Being away for a year showed me how much I missed coaching and how much desire there was to help these athletes achieve their goals. I look forward to this new chapter and can't wait to get started!"

Adair spent seven years on the staff at A&M-Victoria, starting in 2017 as an assistant before being promoted to head coach in March of 2020.

Adair guided the women's team to a conference title in 2021 and four consecutive men's conference championships from 2021-2024. He was a two-time Red River Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. Under his guidance, the Jaguars posted two Top 5 finishes at the NAIA Men's Golf National Championships – a fourth-place finish in 2022 and a fifth-place finish in 2024. In 2024.

Prior to coming to Victoria, Adair served as a volunteer assistant coach for the University of Idaho men's golf team. He played collegiately at Western Texas College and North Idaho College before concluding his collegiate career at the University of Great Falls (now known as University of Providence-Great Falls).

ALABAMA

Alabama women's golf head coach Lydia Lasprilla has announced the hiring of Cabe Waters as assistant coach. Waters comes to Tuscaloosa after spending last season on Lasprilla's staff as the associate head coach at Houston. 

"Cabe will be a great addition to our staff at Alabama," said Lasprilla. "I have thoroughly enjoyed coaching with Cabe throughout our time at Houston and he brings a great skillset that will be vital to our program. I am so happy his family will be joining us in Tuscaloosa and cannot wait to get started."

After competing as a student-athlete at Limestone University, where he was an all-conference golfer, Waters has served as an assistant coach with stints at Missouri (2023-25), Georgia Southern (2021-23) and at Limestone (2017-21) in addition to his last stop at Houston.  

"I am incredibly grateful to the University of Alabama and coach Lasprilla for this opportunity to join such a prestigious program," Waters said. "Alabama has made a tremendous investment in its golf programs and has positioned itself for long-term success at the highest level of collegiate golf. I am excited to get to Tuscaloosa and begin working alongside coach Lasprilla to continue building something special. BYU

BYU has named Todd Miller head men’s golf coach.

Miller takes over after the retirement of Bruce Brockbank who was at the helm for 34 seasons. Miller coached alongside Brockbank for 21 of those seasons, seven as an assistant and 14 as director of golf. Brockbank will remain with the team through July.

Miller, like Brockbank, has spent his entire collegiate golfing and coaching career at BYU. He started his freshman season with the Cougars in 1998 and finished his playing career in 2005.

“I am humbled by this unique opportunity to be a head coach at Brigham Young University,” Miller said. “For the past 21 years, I’ve watched Bruce Brockbank recruit, coach and love our golfers, and now I get the privilege to step into that role. I am passionate about BYU because of the impact the coaches, athletic department and the university had in my personal life. My desire is to create an environment where our student-athletes can grow spiritually and succeed in their academics while competing at the highest level in collegiate athletics. Our goal will be to win another national championship, and I feel like we have the support from our department, our donors and our alumni to accomplish it.”

Miller is the son of former BYU All-American, PGA Tour legend and NBC golf analyst Johnny Miller. Todd spent the first two years of his playing days on the team with his brothers Scott and Andy before departing for missionary service. Andy was a four-time All-American in all four years as a Cougar before turning pro in 2000.

TCU

Sort of ridiculous he had to be an assistant, but Greg Robertson is back in the game.

Robertson, a 13-time conference champion coach, has been appointed as associate head coach of the TCU women's golf program, as announced by head coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin.

A six-time conference coach of the year, Robertson served in a head coaching capacity from 2013-25, leading his teams to eight NCAA National Championship berths, three match play appearances and a national runner-up finish in 2021. As a head coach, Robertson was responsible for 39 team tournament titles and eight conference championships. Robertson's teams have advanced to Nationals in 19 of his 22 seasons. He helped Purdue win the 2010 NCAA Women's Golf Championship during his tenure as associate head coach.

"I am incredibly excited to welcome coach Greg Roberston to our Frog Fam," Ravaioli-Larkin said. "Having known and respected Greg for many years, I have had the opportunity to see firsthand the impact he has had on student-athletes, programs, and the game of golf. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation as an outstanding coach, exceptional recruiter, and most importantly, a person of tremendous character. Coach Greg brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our program, but just as importantly, an amazing heart and team-first mentality!  He will fit right into our culture without missing a beat. I am thrilled that the two of us will now join forces!"

Following his time at Purdue, Robertson coached at Kent State. During his six years, Kent State won the Mid-American Conference championship every year and notched three consecutive NCAA National Championships appearances from 2017-19. The Golden Flashes advanced to match play in 2017 and 2018, placing fifth in both seasons. Under Robertson's leadership, Kent State ascended as high as No. 5 in the Golfweek national rankings.

He then accepted the head coaching position at his alma mater, Oklahoma State, and held the role through the 2025 season. Robertson led the Cowgirls to the 2021 and 2023 Big 12 Championships and was honored as Big 12 Coach of the Year in both seasons. Oklahoma State advanced to Nationals all five completed seasons, highlighted by the runner-up finish in 2021. Robertson's Cowgirls squads captured 18 individual medals and 12 team titles.

Robertson played college golf at Oklahoma State from 1993-97. In that span, the Cowboys won four conference titles and the 1995 NCAA Championships. Robertson concluded his collegiate playing career at New Mexico and helped the Lobos win the 1998 NCAA West Regional.

ELON

Susan Rosenstiel has been named Elon's women's golf head coach. Rosenstiel will officially begin her tenure Elon on March 1, 2027, following the completion of her vested service requirements in the University of Alabama System. As part of her staff, longtime Alabama and former Furman women's golf head coach Mic Potter has been named assistant coach and will serve as Elon's interim head coach through Feb. 28, 2027. Rosenstiel worked alongside Potter for all 21 seasons of his Alabama tenure (2005-26).

"I could not be more excited to welcome Susan to the Elon family," Director of Athletics Jenn Strawley said. "She brings a coaching resume that speaks for itself and a proven record of winning at the highest level. But it was her deep commitment to developing young women, her genuine passion for teaching and coaching, and her authenticity that made it clear she was exactly the right person to lead our women's golf program. I cannot wait to see the impact she has on our student-athletes and on the Elon community."

Rosenstiel arrives at Elon following 23 seasons as an assistant coach at Alabama. Alabama captured the 2012 NCAA Championship, won three Southeastern Conference titles and made 15 NCAA Championship appearances.

"I am humbled and honored to be joining the incredible staff of Elon University," Rosenstiel said. "From the first phone calls with Jeffrey Scheible and Jenn Strawley, I knew that this was where I wanted to be coaching. That was solidified when my husband, Tommy, and I stepped foot on campus and the surrounding community. I want to thank Jenn, Jeffrey, President Book and Don Hill for their interest in me and for entrusting me with leading the Phoenix women's golf program into this next chapter. I am thrilled to also have Hall of Famer Mic Potter joining me as my assistant coach."

Rosenstiel's arrival begins a new era for Elon women's golf following the retirement of longtime head coach Chris Dockrill, who led the program since 1999.

ABILENE CHRISTIAN

Jenni Roller has been named assistant golf coach for the Abilene Christian women's golf team. Roller recently concluded a four-year playing career at the University of Tulsa from 2022-26.

Roller was an American All-Conference honoree in each of the past two seasons. In 44 career tournaments, she collected 20 top-25 finishes, nine top-10 performances and one tournament title. The Jenks, Okla. native competed in four NCAA Regionals and two trips to the NCAA Championships.

"I am very excited to add Jenni to our coaching staff!" head coach Rob Bennett said. "As a player, she has been to the places we expect to go, and after just a few calls, it was clear to me that she has a heart for coaching and serving our young women. She comes from a rich golf background and has a lot of knowledge about the game, especially for a young coach. Jenni is a tremendous addition to our team as we continue to build one of the best golf programs in Division I!"

AUSTIN PEAY STATE

Austin Peay State head men's golf coach Easton Key has named Taylor Boggs the assistant men's golf coach ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Boggs comes from Itawamba Community College, where he was the head coach for the Indians for the last four seasons. He served as the head coach from the 2022 season. Before arriving at ICC, Boggs served as an assistant coach at Delta State for the 2019-20 season.

Boggs played college golf for two years at Louisiana-Monroe from 2011-13.

VIRGINIA

Virginia head women’s golf coach Ria Scott has announced Caroline Craig to the program as an assistant coach. Craig will join the program on June 15, 2026.

“Caroline is one of the nation’s brightest young coaches, and we are thrilled to welcome her to our staff and the Virginia women’s golf family,” Scott said.

The past two seasons, Craig has served as the assistant coach at James Madison.

"It is an incredible honor to join the University of Virginia as the assistant women's golf coach,” Craig said. “Coach Ria's passion, leadership, and vision for the team is an inspiration and a true testament to their success. I am thrilled to work alongside Coach Ria and assist this talented team in their continued competitive excellence through a well-rounded experience. Go Hoos!"

Prior to her time at James Madison, Craig played her college golf at Georgia (2019-2023) and Indiana (2023-2024).

HOUSTON

Jonathan Dismuke will leave the University of Houston Men's Golf program as director of golf and head coach to accept a position in private business.

"We appreciate Jonathan and are grateful for all his hard work with our Men's Golf program. He was an outstanding leader and mentor for our team, and his student-athletes have represented our Athletics Department with class in all ways for nearly two decades. We wish him and his family all the best in their future endeavors and look forward to seeing him on the course soon" Vice President for Athletics Eddie Nuñez said.

Hired on July 16, 2009, Dismuke led the Cougars to three NCAA Championships berths, 12 NCAA Regional team appearances – including each of the last six – and 21 team tournament titles during his career.

"I have enjoyed being a coach for 20 years, but I recently was given an opportunity to work in the private sector, which will allow me to spend more time with my wife and our children," Dismuke said. "Houston will always be home to me, and I have immensely enjoyed my 17 years at the University of Houston. I cannot express enough gratitude to my players and the coaches who worked with me as well as Eddie and (Senior Deputy Director of Athletics) David (Williams). I have received so much support through the years from our fans, our boosters and our administration, and I will always be grateful for my time with the Cougars."

The Cougars won the 2013 Conference USA title at Texarkana Country Club and closed their membership in the American Athletic Conference with that league's championship in 2023. The Cougars competed in three straight NCAA Championships from 2014 to 2016 and finished 10^th at the 2014 Championships, falling just short of advancing to match play, at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan.

A national search for the next head coach will begin immediately.

WASHINGTON

University of Washington has announced the hiring of Thomas Sutton as the 11th head coach of the Washington men’s golf program.

"We are excited to name Thomas Sutton as our new head men’s golf coach," said Chun. "Coach Sutton has built a reputation as an excellent teacher and coach. He has a great understanding of the history and tradition of our men’s golf program. We look forward to welcoming Thomas, Haley, and the entire Sutton Family back to Montlake."

Sutton spent the past four years as the associate head coach at Arizona State. Sutton served as an assistant coach at Washington from 2017 to 2022.

“I’m incredibly honored to be named the next head coach of Washington Men’s Golf,” Sutton said. “First, I want to thank Pat Chun and Mike Dillon for believing in me and trusting me with the opportunity to lead this program. I’m also grateful for the many coaches and mentors who have helped shape me throughout my career. A special thank you to Matt Thurmond for an incredible four years.”

“Washington is a special place, and I truly believe we have everything we need to build one of the premier programs in college golf,” Sutton added. “What excites me most is the opportunity to work with our players to create an environment where they can reach their full potential while having an experience they’ll be proud of for the rest of their lives.”

Prior to his first stop at Washington, Sutton was an assistant coach at his alma mater University of Alabama at Birmingham where he spent two seasons with the Blazers.

NORTH TEXAS

North Texas has added Joseph Kirk as an assistant coach. Kirk joins the Mean Green after spending the last two seasons at UT Rio Grande Valley, first as an assistant for both the men's and women's teams before being elevated to men's associate head coach.

Kirk, native of Lexington, Ky., helped UTRGV to one of the most successful seasons in its history as it captured the Southland Conference championship and reached an NCAA Regional, both of which were program firsts.

"We are all very excited to be adding Joseph Kirk to the Mean Green family," head coach Luke Calcatera said. "Joseph is a proven winner and someone that has a great golf acumen and enthusiasm. His positivity and coaching style will be a great addition to what we are building here. We will hit the ground running this summer with recruiting and building relationships with our team and alumni."

WINONA STATE

Winona State University (NCAA Div. II) has announced the hiring of Matias Maquieira as the new head coach for men's and women's golf. Maquieira comes to Winona State after most recently serving on staff at Cameron University. "I can't express how excited I am to be the Winona State head golf coach" noted Maquieira. "I want to thank WSU's Athletic Director Jen Flowers and the rest of the staff for giving me this amazing opportunity. I can't wait to meet this great group of players and work hard together to achieve great things. Go Warriors!" Maquieira brings both playing and coaching experience to WSU after concluding his collegiate playing career at Missouri Valley College and then serving as an assistant coach at NCAA DII Cameron University for the last two years. Maquieira will begin at Winona State on July 1, 2026.

HIGH POINT

Anna Redding, who was the assistant women’s coach, is leaving High Point. Redding, a native of Concord, N.C., played golf for the University of Virginia from 2015-19.

High Point had maybe its best season in program history compiling a head-to-head record of 112-22 and winning three times, including the Big South Conference Championship.

Head coach Lyndsey Hunnell one of the up and coming young coaches in the game will be naming an assistant coach in the coming weeks.

GOUCHER COLLEGE & MILLERSVILLE

Goucher College (NCAA Div. III in Baltimore, Md.) has announced that head golf coach Matt Shur will be stepping down from his position to accept another professional opportunity at Millersville University. Shur coached both the men and women golf programs at Goucher.

"I want to thank Goucher for giving me the opportunity to lead the golf program these past four years. I have been lucky to coach a group of student-athletes who made the experience truly enjoyable every day.  I am proud of what we were able to build together, and I am grateful for the relationships I have built with players, alumni, and staff," said Shur. "I am excited for the next chapter at Millersville, but will always appreciate my time at Goucher." 

Shur has been named the head coach of the (NCAA Div. II) Millersville men's and women's golf programs heading into the 2026-27 season. Shur played his college golf at Stevenson graduating in 2020.

June 30th will mark Shur's final day at Goucher. A search for the next coach of the Gophers golf programs will begin immediately.

INDIANA TECH

Wyatt Johnson has been named the new Indiana Tech Head men's and women's golf coach.  "I am beyond excited to guide the Indiana Tech golf teams," Johnson said. "It is no secret that Indiana Tech is known for their elite level athletes. The players and I are ready to help the golf teams live up to what our fans and students expect out of Tech athletics. We are dedicated to building up one of the top programs in the country on and off the course. I am grateful to be surrounded and mentored by all of the top coaches we have." Johnson comes to Indiana Tech from the University of Saint Francis, where he served as the assistant golf coach from 2024-26. Johnson is a graduate of Saint Francis, where he was a four-year member and captain of the men's golf team.

BARRY UNIVERSITY

Barry University men's golf coach Carlos Velez has stepped down to become the head pro at Miami Lakes Golf Club.

Velez led the Buccaneers to the regional tournament four times in four years at the helm, with a trip to the national finals in 2023 when they finished tied for third. After winning the Sunshine State Conference title in 2022 under former coach Jimmy Stobs, the Bucs won back-to-back championships in 2023 and 2024. Barry became the first school to win three straight championships since Florida Southern won five straight from 1997-2001. Velez was named the SSC coach of the year in 2002-23.

"This program, the players, and everyone involved have meant a great deal to me," Velez said, "and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such a successful and respected tradition. I take great pride in everything we have accomplished together and in the continued growth and success of the program both on and off the course. The relationships, experiences, and memories built during my time here are something I will always value. I am not going to be a stranger. I will still be in Maimi and will be a supporter of the program like I've always been."

As a player, Velez was a member of Barry's first men's golf championship team in 2007 as a freshman. He went on to earn GCAA All-America honors in 2009 and 2010, added Scholar All-America awards those seasons as well.

Barry will begin an immediate search for his replacement.

ABILENE CHRISTIAN

Chance Cain was named head coach of the Abilene Christian University men’s golf program. Cain spent the past four seasons leading the Tarleton State’s men’s golf team.

Tarleton State won the 2026 Western Athletic Conference championship and earned a spot in NCAA Regional play. Cain was named the 2026 WAC Coach of the Year

“I couldn’t be more excited to have Chance leading our men’s golf program,” Vice President for Athletics Zack Lassiter said. “He is a winner with strong roots in Texas and is committed to the ACU mission. He has a proven track record of elevating every program he has worked for and I’m confident he will take our program to the next level. Great days are ahead for ACU men’s golf under Chance’s leadership.”

Cain was an assistant coach at Utah for five seasons from 2016-21 and got his start in coaching as a volunteer assistant coach for two seasons at his alma mater, Texas Tech, in 2012.

“I’m honored to lead the men’s golf program at Abilene Christian University,” Cain said. “I’m grateful for this opportunity and want to thank Zack Lassiter, along with the Wildcat supporters, for entrusting me to lead this program to the standards they have envisioned for the future. ACU’s vision, commitment to excellence and passion for developing student-athletes make this a special opportunity.”

UNLV

Former touring professional golfer and Rebel All-American Andres Gonzales has been named the fourth full-time head coach in the proud history of the men's golf program at UNLV, Director of Athletics Erick Harper announced Saturday.

Gonzales, who played at UNLV from 2003-06 and was the roommate of 2004 NCAA individual champion Ryan Moore, returns to Las Vegas after a professional career that saw him compete five years on the PGA Tour and six years on the Korn Ferry Tour. He has spent the last four years (2022-26) as part of the broadcast team for PGA Tour LIVE on ESPN+. In addition, he is the co-founder and COO of PLT Golf (Professional Leisure Tour), which is a luxury golf and athleisure apparel brand.

"Bringing Andres Gonzales back to UNLV is an exciting moment for our men's golf program," said Harper. "Andres represents everything we want in a head coach -- championship experience, a deep connection to the Rebel family, and a genuine commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the course. He understands the tradition and expectations of UNLV Golf, and we are confident he has the vision, relationships, and competitive drive to keep this program on the national stage and in the championship conversation year after year. We are thrilled to welcome Andres and his family home to Las Vegas."

During his time as a Rebel, Gonzales was a PING Third-Team All-American, both a Mountain West all-conference and academic all-conference honoree, and a Ben Hogan Award semifinalist. In his four years on campus, he registered a tournament victory (2006 William H. Tucker Invitational), a team-leading scoring average (72.08) in 2005-06, 14 top-20 finishes with five top-10 and three top-5 finishes, as well as a career scoring average (72.79) that still ranks 21st in program history.

ALABAMA

Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne announced Lydia Lasprilla has been named head coach of the Crimson Tide women's golf program. Lasprilla comes to the Capstone from Houston, where she spent the last eight years on the coaching staff, including the last five as the team's head coach.

"We are excited to welcome Lydia Lasprilla as the next head coach of Alabama Golf," Byrne said in a release. "Lydia is a rising star in the sport and did an exceptional job during her time at Houston. Lydia's vision aligned with Alabama's commitment to comprehensive excellence. We look forward to her leading Alabama golf to championship levels."

During her tenure at Houston, Lasprilla guided the Cougars to historical success, leading the program to four consecutive NCAA Regional appearances from 2023 through 2026 and its first-ever berth in the NCAA Championships in 2026. Lasprilla's leadership, the Cougars reached new heights since she assumed her head coach role in 2021-22. At the beginning of her head coach tenure, Houston was ranked No. 69 nationally and this season, the Cougars climbed to No. 27 in the NCAA Women's Scoreboard rankings. In addition to climbing up the national rankings, Houston finished 20th overall at the most recent 2026 NCAA Championships, making historical strides for the UH program under Lasprilla.

FRIENDS UNIVERSITY

Friends University has announced the resignation of men's golf head coach Dustin Galyon, effective immediately. And the hiring of a new coach. Talk about fast!

Tom McCurdy was named head men’s coach the day after Galyon resigned. McCurdy had been the head women’s coach at Wichita State for the past 19 years and saw his program along with men’s program eliminated by the school.

"What Dustin built here is remarkable," said VP of Athletics & Strategic Expansion Dr. Ramseyer. "He won, and he did it as one of the clearest examples of the holistic philosophy we're trying to live out in our athletic department. We'll miss him. I'm also genuinely excited for what's ahead for him with more time with Marissa and the kids, and the time to go deeper into the work he's building with the Impactful Coaching Project."

Galyon re-started the Friends men's golf program in 2021 and won the past four KCAC Championships that resulted in four consecutive appearances in the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship.

Before arriving in Wichita, McCurdy was the head coach at Northern Arizona University for six years. McCurdy also had assistant coach tenures for both the men's and women's golf programs at Washington State University after beginning his collegiate coaching career at his alma mater, Eastern Washington University in 1997-98.

NEBRASKA

Halley Morell has been named assistant coach at Nebraska. Morell has been the head coach at Bradley for the past seven seasons, guiding the program to its first postseason appearance in 20 years. The 2025-26 squad accepted an invitation to compete in the 2026 National Golf Invitational in Maricopa, Arizona, where the team placed eighth. The Braves placed second at the 2026 Missouri Valley Conference Championship.

Morell came to Bradley after serving as assistant men’s and women’s golf coach at Jacksonville State during the 2018-19 season. The former collegiate golfer at Robert Morris (Pa.) and Penn State also was assistant Coach at UTEP for two years (2016-18). 

Bradley is now looking for a head coach. 

WESTERN KENTUCKY

After spending time as a volunteer assistant and then taking time off after having a child, Emma Talley is now a full-time assistant coach at Western Kentucky.

Smith, a Princeton, Kentucky native, played her college golf at the University of Alabama. She won the 2013 USGA Women's Amateur Championship at Country Club of Charleston. Smith went on to win the 2015 NCAA Individual Championship at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla. with a 3-under 285.

TULSA

The University of Tulsa men's golf head coach Brandon Wilkins has announced the hiring of Pedro Cruz Silva as assistant coach for the Golden Hurricane program. Cruz Silva joins a Tulsa men's golf program preparing to compete during the 2026-27 season."I'm very thankful for the opportunity to join Coach Wilkins at the University of Tulsa and be part of bringing back a program with so much tradition and history," Cruz Silva said. "I'm excited to get to work building a championship culture and helping lead this new era of Tulsa Men's Golf."Cruz Silva joins Tulsa after spending the past two seasons as a graduate assistant at Mississippi State, where he transitioned into the coaching ranks following the conclusion of his playing career with the Bulldogs.

CHARLESTON SOUTHERN

Charleston Southern Athletics has announced the hire of Andy Serketich as the Head Coach for Men's and Women's Golf. He joins the Buccaneers after a successful two-year stretch at the University of Indianapolis. Serketich replaces Loritz “Scooter” Clark.

"We are thrilled to announce Andy Serketich as our new Head Golf Coach," said Jeff Barber, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics. "Andy brings a wealth of experience and a proven record of success to our program, having led teams to significant success at two institutions. Combining that with his experience competing and coaching at Notre Dame, Andy is uniquely positioned to lead and elevate our golf programs for years to come."

Prior to his time at the University of Indianapolis, Serketich spent a season as an assistant coach/director operations for both golf programs at the University of Notre Dame.

His first Head Coach job came at Queens University at Charlotte where he served as the Men's Golf Coach for six seasons from 2017-23. Serketich played his college golf at Queens University of Charlotte.

LAMAR

Jessie Mudd has been promoted to Director of Golf at Lamar. Also announced the hiring of Julie Aime as associate head coach.

Originally hired as the men's head coach in July 2015, Mudd will now oversee both men's and women's programs.

Mudd will be joined on staff by Aime who will work directly with the Lamar women's program, and is one of the program's all-time best players.

Aime makes the transition to the coaching world after a 10-year professional career on the LPGA and European Tours. Aime was the 2019 Epson Tour Rookie of the Year. 

WASHINGTON

University of Washington Director of Athletics Pat Chun announced men's golf head coach Alan Murray's  contract will not be renewed following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.  A national search for the program's next head coach will begin immediately.

"Thank you to Alan Murray for his decade of service as our men's golf head coach," Chun said in a release. "We appreciate everything Alan has done for our golf program. We wish him nothing but success in the future." 

Murray recently completed his 10th season on Montlake, where he led Washington to five NCAA Regionals, including 2022, when he guided the Huskies to a conference championship and earned Pac-12 Coach of the Year honors. 

Before taking the Washington job, Murray won Golfweek's Coach of the Year honor in 2014 when he was at UAB.

CHATTANOOGA

Expecting to hear Annie Collom will be named the head coach at Chattanooga soon.

Annie Collom has been the assistant coach at the University of Virginia since July of 2023. She spent the previous two seasons as the assistant coach at Denver. Prior to working at Denver, Collom spent two seasons at Denison University as an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s golf teams.

Collom, who is a native of Charlotte, N.C., played her college golf at Richmond from 2015-19.

OKLAHOMA

After a highly productive 17-year stretch as Oklahoma's head men's golf coach, which included a team national championship in 2017, Ryan Hybl announced Sunday he will resign at the end of this season and accept the head coaching position at Georgia Tech in his home state. OU Vice President and Director of Athletics Roger Denny also announced that Jonathan Moore, the program's associate head coach and director of performance the last three years, will succeed Hybl as head coach.

A Class of 2024 Golf Coaches Association of America Hall of Fame inductee, Hybl has presided over one of the most successful periods of men's golf in school history. He has coached OU to 51 team tournament wins, 15 consecutive NCAA Championships appearances (seven NCAA Match Play showings) and the 15 best single-season scoring averages in school history. He has also coached 17 Sooners to 34 All-America honors, produced at least one All-American in all but two seasons, 18 all-conference selections, one Fred Haskins Award winner and a nation-leading eight PGA Tour University graduates.

Under Hybl's direction, the Sooners won six NCAA regional titles, including this past week in Corvallis, Ore., and Big 12 Conference crowns in 2018, 2022 and 2023. He was named the 2018 and 2021 Big 12 Coach of the Year and the 2022 Dave Williams National Coach of the Year, and served as Team USA’s head coach at the 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup.

Moore, the 2006 individual NCAA champion for Oklahoma State, joined the OU staff in June 2023 after a successful professional career as a player and six years piloting the strength, conditioning and development program for OSU's men's and women's golf programs.

Since joining the Sooners, Moore has helped lead Oklahoma to back-to-back-to-back NCAA regional titles for the first time in program history and two top-10 finishes at the NCAA Championships. In his three seasons in Norman, OU has captured 10 tournament titles and earned a top-three seed in NCAA regional play each year. Also during that time, five different Sooners have earned All-America honors, while three have collected All-SEC recognition. An elite recruiter, Moore also helped Oklahoma secure two top-10 recruiting classes.

BAYLOR

Baylor has announced Jean-Paul Hebert as its next head coach. Hebert replaces Mike McGraw, who announced his retirement earlier this year. Ryan Murphy had been the interim coach since McGraw left.

Hebert has previously coached at UNLV for the past four seasons, where he guided the Rebels to the Mountain West Conference Championship this past spring. Hebert came to Las Vegas after serving as the assistant men’s golf coach at the University of Texas for eight years, as well as for four years prior to that as the team’s volunteer coach. 

Hebert played his college golf at Texas.

MOREHEAD STATE

Morehead State has extended the contracts of its men's and women’s head golf coaches – Matthew Martin and Stephanie Barker - through 2029-30 season.

Martin was an assistant men's golf coach and assistant men's basketball coach at Transylvania (Ky.) from 2010-13. Martin spent the 2013-14 school year as the head boy's basketball coach at Bourbon County High School in Paris, Ky.

After attending Furman and Cincinnati, Martin finished his college career at Transylvania.  He helped the Pioneers to three straight Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference golf championships (2008-10) and earned all-league honors each year.

Morehead State's longest current tenured head coach, Baker has been the only coach in the team's modern history, starting with the re-establishment of the program in 2007-08.

Barker, who has led Morehead State to three Ohio Valley Conference titles and three NCAA regional appearances, just completed her 19th season leading the Eagles.

She earned OVC Coach of the Year in 2011, 2023 and 2025.

Barker came to Morehead State after six years (2001-06) as the head coach at the University of Kentucky. Barker began her collegiate coaching career at Cal State Northridge.

Before coaching, Barker played professionally on the LPGA, Australian, Futures and European LPGA Tours. Barker played collegiately at Oklahoma State, where she was a four-time NCAA Championship qualifier.  She earned All-America honors twice and was a three-time Academic All-America honoree.

BETHEL

Leah Schubring has been named head women’s coach at Bethel University.

"I'm thrilled that Leah has agreed to become the head coach of the Bethel women's golf program," said Bethel Director of Athletics Greg Peterson. " She brings a high level of playing, coaching background, and authentic heart to lead the women in our program not only in competition, but in their faith journey as well. He background in Minnesota golf brings instant credibility in recruiting as we seek to take the next step in the program."

Schubring (formerly Leah Herzog), comes to the Royals following two seasons as assistant women's golf coach at the University of Tulsa. She helped guide the Golden Hurricane women's golf program to the 2025-26 American Conference Championship. Prior to Tulsa, Schubring worked for Minnesota PGA. 

Schubring, a native of Red Wing, Minnesota, played collegiate golf at the University of Nebraska from 2019-2021 and the University of Minnesota from 2021-2023.

"I'm incredibly honored and excited to become the next head coach at Bethel," said Schubring. "There is something incredibly special about a community that values both competitive excellence and spiritual growth. I cannot wait to get to work with this team, build meaningful relationships, and pursue high goals together. I'm motivated to continue building this program with energy, passion, and purpose."

OLD DOMINION

Old Dominion University has hired Austin Phillips as its men’s golf head coach. Phillips has spent the previous three seasons at the University of North Alabama.

“Austin Phillips has won everywhere he has been and we are excited for this new era of ODU men’s golf under the dynamic leadership and unbridled enthusiasm of Coach Phillips,” said Athletics Director Dr. Wood Selig.

The search committee landed an absolute winner in Austin Phillips. I know our ODU and Hampton Roads golf communities will embrace Austin and his family as they begin their ODU journey.”

Prior to North Alabama, Phillips coached at Cameron University (Okla.) where he earned coach of the year honors in 2021-22 and led Cameron to two NCAA Regionals. At UNA, Phillips led the program to its highest end of season ranking in Division I history, with a No. 100 ranking this past season. He has helped lead two individual golfers to the NCAA Tournament the last two years and a berth in the National Golf Invitational.

Phillips started his Division I career as an assistant coach at Ohio University.

DRURY UNIVERSITY

Drury University has named Susannah Blackwell as its women’s golf head coach. Blackwell spent the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach for the Panthers.

Blackwell, who is from  Springfield, Mo., played collegiately at Evangel University. Her career included two All-KCAC selections, a third-place finish at the 2025 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship.

BELMONT

Belmont University women's golf head coach Olivia Jordan has announced that she is stepping down after six seasons leading the program to take a position outside of collegiate athletics. "I want to personally thank Olivia for her contributions to Belmont University and our athletic program over the past six years," said Scott Corley, who is Belmont Vice President/Director of Athletics.  "During her tenure here, she has elevated our women's golf program both on the course and in the classroom and served as a great role model for her players. Olivia was a wonderful representative of our University and our athletic program. We will miss her presence in our department."Jordan took over as the program's third head coach in the summer of 2020. 

A national search to find Jordan's replacement will begin immediately. 

ROLLINS

Rollins College head women's golf coach Julie Garner has resigned as head coach. She will remain with the program for the next season, continuing her role as Director of Golf to handle alumni and community relations as well as team logistics to assist the new Head Coach in the transition. Garner served as Head Coach for over 30 seasons; this marks the end of her third stint as Head Coach of the Tars as she took the reins in 1984-87 and 1996-97 before rejoining the program in 2000.Garner has led Rollins to a record six NCAA Division II National Championships while also finishing runner-up five times in her career. The Tars have also won seven of their eight Sunshine State Conference Championships with Coach Garner at the helm of the program. Rollins has finished in the top four at the NCAA Division II Championships 13 times, including a run of four straight national titles from 2003-06.She has been named the WGCA Division II National Coach of the Year four times (2003, 2006, 2015, 2016) and Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year five seasons (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2015)."It has been an honor and the highest privilege to be the head coach of women's golf at Rollins," said Coach Garner.  "I am retiring from the job of a lifetime. I have given Rollins everything I have, but it is time for new leadership and fresh vision for the future of the program. I will be at Rollins for the upcoming season to help the new head coach transition to our campus community and to get the momentum started on the next great era of Rollins women's golf."

TROY UNIVERSITY

Troy University announced a change in leadership for the women's golf program.

"We appreciate Randy Keck’s leadership and commitment during his nine seasons guiding our women's golf program," said Director of Athletics Kyle Georg. "He fully engaged with the Troy community and left a positive mark across the area."

Before Troy, Keck previously coached at Tulsa, Redlands, Community College and Tabor College. His team at Redlands CC won the 2006 NJCAA National Championship.

Troy will immediately begin a national search for Keck's successor.

TEXAS TECH

Texas Tech Golf announced the hiring of Nathan Weant as assistant coach, where he will serve as a shared assistant for both the men's and women's golf programs.

Weant returns to Texas Tech after serving as head coach at the University of Louisiana Monroe.

"Texas Tech is a place that means a great deal to me," Weant said. "I played here, I've worked here, and the vision and excitement this department has for the future make it impossible not to want to be here."

Weant competed at Texas Tech for three seasons from 2011-13 before finishing his collegiate career at Stephen F. Austin. A native of Hallsville, Texas, Weant returned to Texas Tech following graduation to work within the athletics department before taking the head coaching position at Indian Hills Community College, where he led the program to the 2018 NJCAA Division I National Championship. After one season at Indian Hills, he spent two seasons as an assistant coach at ULM before returning to Texas Tech in October 2020 for his first stint with the Red Raiders.

Weant will officially begin his role on June 1, 2026.

NEW MEXICO STATE

New Mexico State Athletics announced a three-year contract extension for head women’s coach Danny Bowen, securing the program's leader for the future as he enters his 10th season at the helm of the Aggies.

"We are thrilled to announce the extension of Coach Bowen, whose outstanding leadership and unwavering dedication have elevated our women's golf program in remarkable ways," said New Mexico State Director of Athletics Joe Fields said. "He is a proven leader and an exceptional mentor to our student-athletes, and I am confident he will continue to guide Aggie Women's Golf to championships and sustained success in the years ahead."

During his tenure, Bowen has guided the Aggies to three conference championships, including back-to-back WAC titles in 2021 and 2022, along with multiple NCAA Regional appearances.

"I'm very grateful to continue to lead and build on the program we have here at New Mexico State," Bowen stated. "Our new administration has confidence in our vision for success and it's going to be an exciting time to be an Aggie in coming years!"

Charleston Southern Athletics has announced a change in the head coach of the men's and women's golf programs, effective immediately.

Scottie Clark had been the head men’s and women’s coach for the past year. He was hired May 14, 2025.

Gonzaga University Athletics announces the retirement of Brad Rickel, the longtime women's golf head coach, after an accomplished collegiate coaching career spanning nearly three decades. "It has been a true honor to serve as the Women's Golf Coach at Gonzaga University," Rickel said. "The university community has made this an exceptional place to work, and I am deeply grateful for the dedicated and passionate individuals in athletics who have supported our program over the years. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the many donors and supporters whose generosity has helped our program grow and succeed. Over the course of 29 years in collegiate coaching, working with student-athletes has been an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling experience. While it is difficult to say goodbye, I am confident that this is the right time for me to begin a new chapter of retirement. Gonzaga Women's Golf is well-positioned for continued growth and will undoubtedly keep making a positive impact on the lives of young student-athletes. The future is bright, and I look forward to following the program's success as a proud supporter." Rickel returned to Gonzaga in 2007 and guided the women's golf program through the most successful stretch in its history. Under his leadership, the Bulldogs won the 2021 West Coast Conference Championship, made three straight NCAA Regional team appearances from 2013-15 and produced the program's first NCAA Championships appearances. During his Gonzaga tenure, Rickel coached WCC individual champions Victoria Fallgren in 2012, Alice Kim in 2014 and Ciera Min in 2016. The Zags also earned NCAA Regional individual berths in 2016, 2017 and 2023, while continuing to establish themselves as a postseason contender in the WCC and nationally. Rickel was named WCC Coach of the Year five times, receiving the honor in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2021.

In recognition of Rickel's retirement, Gonzaga Athletics is pleased to announce Victoria Fallgren-Murphy as the next head coach of the women's golf program effective June 2. Fallgren-Murphy, a Gonzaga alumna and former standout student-athlete, just finished her 12th year as an assistant coach with the Bulldogs.

DAYTON

The University of Dayton athletics department has announced the hiring of Collin Toner as its next men's golf head coach. Toner will join the program June 2 following Gip Hoagland’s  retirement from coaching at the end of May.

Toner comes to Dayton after spending the 2025-26 season with the Boise State men's golf team as an assistant coach. Prior to his time at Boise State, Toner served as assistant coach and director of operations for Baylor's women's golf program during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.

LOUISIANA-MONROE

Cory Churchman has been named the new head coach at Louisiana-Monroe. assistant coach of North Texas men's golf. Churchman has been the assistant coach at North Texas for the past four seasons.

Churchman replaces Nathan Weant. Weant was named head coach in May of 2024.

"Coach Weant is a great person to be around and we are appreciative of all he did as the leader of our program," said Tuohy. "We wish he and his wife the best as they move into their next chapter. As has been my goal since starting at ULM, we want to bring coaches and staff that are fired up to be on the bayou and will embrace this community; Cory checks that box in every way. He's young in his coaching career due to his time playing professionally, but he's already demonstrated his ability to develop talent on the course and make impacts off the course. I'm excited to see him continue that at ULM."

Churchman, a native of Abilene, Texas, played his college golf at North Texas. While at UNT, he was selected All-Conference USA Second Team in 2016 and 2017 and was named to the conference all-tournament team in 2015 and 2017, when he was the individual runner-up at the conference championship. He helped lead the Mean Green to a team conference championship in 2015 and was a NCAA Regional qualifier in 2015 and 2017, when he earned at-large individual bids.

HOUSTON CHRISTIAN

Houston Christian University has announced the hiring of Chad Marti as the new head men’s golf coach. Jordan Jeffers will now be Director of Golf.

"With Coach Shuster's retirement after many years leading the program, we are blessed to have one of our own, Jordan Jeffers, to step in as Director of Golf," said Director of Athletics Stan Williamson. "Jordan has proven his value as a coach over a number of years, including this year's nod as Southland Conference Women's Golf Coach of the Year honors. Chad Marti has been a part of golf in Houston for his entire life and has been a tremendous help to HCU Golf over the last several years. Chad will now serve as HCU's Head Men's Golf Coach. We are very pleased that we have these two outstanding coaches to lead our golf programs."

Marti has served as a volunteer assistant with the HCU golf programs for the last five years. Since 2014, Marti has owned and operated Marti Golf Center, a full-service golf facility and instruction academy. Prior to that, he served as the Head Golf Professional at Evergreen Point Golf Club in Baytown, Texas, from 2007 until 2011. He also spent time playing golf professionally and played his college golf at the University of Houston. "We are very blessed to have Chad join our program as the Head Men's Coach," added Jeffers. "He has been a huge asset for many years already as our volunteer coach, and this is a natural and exciting transition for him to lead our men's team after Coach Shuster's retirement. Our players and I look forward to working with him further and what he will bring to our program. Dawgs Up!"

LA SALLE

Denise "Dei" Lynam has been named the head women's golf coach at La Salle University.

"We're excited to welcome Dei as our new women's golf coach," Interim Director of Athletics Phil Snead  commented. "Dei is a household name in Philadelphia sports and will raise the profile of our program. We can't wait to see her help our student-athletes excel on the course, in the classroom, and in the community."

Lynam joins the Blue and Gold amidst a long and storied career as a basketball analyst, most notably for the Philadelphia 76ers and their G-League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats. She hosts pre- and post-game radio shows on 97.5 The Fanatic for 76ers games and also serves as a broadcaster for numerous collegiate women's basketball programs across the Northeast.

SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE

Southwestern College head men’s and women’s golf coach Jackson Strohl has announced his resignation. Southwestern College competes at the NAIA and is located in Winfield, Kan.

"Jackson has meant a great deal to Southwestern College, both as a student-athlete and as a coach," said Athletic Director Matt O’Brien. "He has carried on the Strohl legacy with pride and has had a tremendous impact on our golf programs. We are grateful for his dedication and wish him nothing but the best moving forward."

During his time as head coach, Strohl guided the women's program to an NCAA Championship match play appearance in 2024.

A national search for the next head men's and women's golf coach is immediately underway.

RHODES COLLEGE

After retiring, Mike Clary returned as interim coach at Rhodes for the 2025-26 season. Clary had spent 44 at Rhodes in various roles. Rhodes is NCAA Div. III in Memphis, Tenn.

However, Rhodes is now looking for a full-time women’s golf coach. Rhodes is currently ranked No. 66 in NCAA Division III women’s golf.

UNIVERSITY OF MARY

University of Mary Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Marcus Wagner announced earlier this spring that head men's golf coach Laif Olson and head women's golf coach Marion Hernandez  will step down from their positions at the conclusion of the upcoming spring season. The University of Mary competes at the NCAA Division II level and is located in Bismarck, N.D.Olson and Hernandez, who have led their respective programs in recent years, made the decision to transition from their roles as head coaches. As the two programs enter their next phase of growth and development, both coaches said they hope to remain connected to Marauders golf and continue supporting the university's scholar-athletes and the future of the program.Olson, who became UMary's head men's golf coach in February 2022, said he plans to spend more time enjoying retirement while continuing to support Marauders golf.Hernandez joined UMary as an assistant golf coach for both programs in 2021 before becoming head women's coach prior to the 2023–24 season. Hernandez was recently promoted to assistant director of online admissions at the University of Mary and plans to remain at the university following the spring season.The University of Mary is  conducting a national search to identify full-time leadership for both programs.

ABILENE CHRISTIAN

Abilene Christian University has announced a change in its men's golf program following 12 seasons under head coach Tom Shaw.

"We are incredibly grateful to Coach Shaw for his 12 years of dedication and service to ACU," said Vice President for Athletics Zack Lassiter. "He has made a lasting impact on our student-athletes and our program, both on and off the course. We appreciate the leadership, integrity, and commitment he has shown throughout his time here and wish him the very best moving forward."Shaw's tenure at Abilene Christian began in 2014 as he helped guide the program through the Division I transitionary period. During their first season in the Western Athletic Conference, the Wildcats won the 2022 WAC Championship and Shaw was named the conference's coach of the year. A national search for the next head coach will begin immediately.

And if it were me my first call would be to Cal Baptist coach TL Brown. Cal Baptist announced earlier this year it would be cutting men’s golf at the end of the season.

OAKLAND UNIVERSITY

Oakland University Athletics recently announced that head men's golf coach Robby Pickett has resigned.

The Golden Grizzlies lost in a sudden-death playoff and placed second at the Horizon League Championship to Wright State.

Oakland University Athletics will conduct a national search for the head coach position.

CHATTANOOGA

Chattanooga will officially begin its search for a new women's golf coach, after announcing interim Katie Woodruff will not return for the 2026-27 season.

Chattanooga and long-time coach Colette Murray parted ways back in October and Woodruff, whose husband Blaine is the Chattanooga men’s coach, was named interim coach. Most recently, Woodruff was serving as a volunteer assistant at the University of North Georgia the past couple of seasons.

The Mocs were left with just four players this spring and placed second to Furman at the Southern Conference Championship.

BYU

After 34 seasons as the head coach of the BYU men’s golf program, Bruce Brockbank has announced that he will retire at the conclusion of the season.

Brockbank started as a student-athlete on the golf team in 1985, was hired as an assistant coach in 1988 and installed as the head coach of BYU men's golf in 1992.

“It has been an absolute privilege to play on and coach the golf team at Brigham Young University, one of the finest universities in the country,” Brockbank said. “I’m grateful Glen Tuckett and Karl Tucker gave a young, inexperienced coach a chance to work with young people. The athletic administration, Cougar Club and friends of BYU golf have always provided us every opportunity to be successful. I’ve loved being a coach at BYU the last 34 years. I’ll forever be grateful for the players and the people I’ve worked with. They have truly blessed my life. I’m excited for the future of BYU Athletics and what Athletic Director Brian Santiago, his staff and their coaches will accomplish in the coming years. Go Cougars.”

ELON

Elon women’s golf head coach Chris Dockrill has announced his retirement following nearly three decades leading the program.

Dockrill, who is a member of the Elon Sports Hall of Fame as a men’s golfer, became the women’s golf head coach in 1999 and guided Elon to more than 25 tournament victories and 22 top-five finishes at conference championship events. He was named conference coach of the year twice during his career, earning honors in the Big South Conference in 2000 and the Southern Conference in 2007.

“Chris has given so much to this institution, as a student-athlete, as a coach, and as someone who genuinely cared about the young women who came through our golf program,” Elon Director of Athletics Jenn Strawley said. “I am deeply grateful for his dedication to Elon, the lasting impact he has had on so many student-athletes, and all he has done for Elon Golf. I wish him nothing but the best in this next chapter.”

Prior to taking leadership of Elon’s women’s golf program, Dockrill spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the men’s team. Dockrill earned both All-America and Academic All-America honors following his senior year in 1986. He helped lead the Elon men to a fourth-place finish at the 1986 NAIA National Tournament, where he placed fifth individually.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have coached at Elon and want to thank Dr. Alan White, Dave Blank and Jenn Strawley for their support over the years,” Dockrill said. “A special thank you goes to Bill Morningstar and Don Hill. They have been outstanding golf directors to work for and alongside, and I’ve truly valued those relationships. What I’ll take with me most are the connections with the student-athletes and colleagues who made this experience so meaningful.”

A national search for Elon’s next women’s golf head coach will begin immediately.

HOUSTON CHRISTIAN

Houston Christian University Director of Golf and Head Men's Golf Coach David Shuster has announced his retirement, ending a 19-year career at HCU that included three team NCAA postseason appearances and eight conference titles since restarting the men's and women's golf programs after being hired in June of 2007. "I have been blessed by so many over my 43 years of coaching and my 19 years with HCU. My time at HCU all came about due to an old college friend, Anthony Martin, who was managing the University Bookstore at HBU when the university was looking to make their move back to the D-I level of college sports,” Shuster said” So, with that they needed to add several other sports and we started with our women's program in 2007, followed by the men's program in 2008. None of that could been possible without the support of my dear friend Anthony Martin, Ron Cottrell, Steve Moniaci and President of the University, Dr. Robert Sloan."

LIPSCOMB

Lipscomb University Director of Athletics Philip Hutcheson recently announced that women's golf head coach Shannon O’Brien will step away from her position following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season to relocate to Starkville, Mississippi, where her husband, Kevin O'Brien, recently accepted the head women's soccer coaching position at Mississippi State University.

O'Brien has led the Bisons since the 2022-23 season, where the program's won its first ASUN Conference Championship and made an appearance in NCAA Regional play for the first time.

"Shannon has been transformational for our women's golf program," said Hutcheson. "In just a few short years, she elevated Lipscomb golf to championship caliber while maintaining our commitment to helping our student athletes grow not just athletically, but also academically, socially, and spiritually. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication, leadership, and the foundation she has built. While we will miss her greatly, we celebrate this next chapter for Shannon and her family and wish them every success in Mississippi."

O'Brien brought a unique perspective to golf coaching, having spent nine years as an assistant with Lipscomb women's soccer, where she helped the program win six ASUN championships. She played college soccer where she was a standout goalkeeper for the Wildcats.

A national search for O'Brien's successor will begin immediately, with Lipscomb committed to continuing the program's upward trajectory. Hutcheson should call former Kent State and Oklahoma State head coach Greg Robertson ASAP.

OLD DOMINION

Old Dominion men’s golf coach Dr. Murray Rudisill is retiring at the conclusion of the 2026 season. Rudisill became the golf coach in 1975.

“In the fall of 1974, the athletic director at ODU, Dr. Jim Jarrett, offered me the job starting in the spring of 1975. No recruiting, no scholarships. Just have some tryouts and play a few matches. I was given a 25% reduction in my teaching assignments and a salary of $800,” Rudisill said. “I immediately said yes since golf had been such a big part of my life and it was really an answer to a prayer. As I close out this final year, it is with a lot of mixed emotions. Mentally and emotionally I still love this job and don’t want to leave, but physical requirements demand more than I can give.”

A seven-time conference coach of the year, Rudisill has led the Monarchs to a pair of conference championships, and he won four state championships. He won his Virginia State Championships in 1983, 84, 86, 92, and 93 and won CAA Championships in 2003 and 2007. In 2003 the Monarchs finished 15^th at the NCAA West Regional and in 2007 ODU took 22^nd in the NCAA East Regional.

Rudisill graduated from NC State in 1960 where he was a member of the golf team.

“Most coaches will be remembered by their wins and losses, but to me the most important part of my job has been to love and nurture these young men as they grew and matured while being here at Old Dominion. These lasting relationships hopefully will be my legacy. Thanks be to God and to ODU for all these wonderful memories. What a blessing it has been,” Rudisill said.

ALABAMA

Mic Potter, who has coached the Alabama women's golf team for the last 21 seasons and is in his 43^rd year overall as an NCAA Division I head coach, will retire following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.

"When I arrived in Tuscaloosa, the goal was simple: build something special," said Potter. "Together, we were able to grow this program into one that competes at the highest level and represents Alabama with pride. I'm thankful for the players, coaches and staff who bought into that vision and made it a reality. It's been an honor to be part of this journey and to watch so many young women achieve greatness on and off the course."

Potter's 43-year career as a head coach includes 22 seasons (1983-2005) leading the Furman women's golf program as well as spending the last 21 years at Alabama. Currently, Potter is listed as the second-longest-tenured women's golf head coach in NCAA Division I.

Potter led the Crimson Tide to the 2012 NCAA Championship and added a national runner-up finish in 2018. Prior to his arrival, Alabama reached just one NCAA Championship and six NCAA Regionals in the 30 previous seasons. In the 21 years since, the Crimson Tide has reached the Women's Golf Championships 14 times while making 18 Regional appearances. 

Potter, who is a member of the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Hall of Fame, was twice named the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) National Coach of the Year, earning the accolade in 2012 and 2018, and is a six-time SEC Coach of the Year (2007, 2010-13, 2018) honoree. 

Potter, who graduated from Cortland State, began his coaching career at Furman, where he coached the Paladins to 16 NCAA Championship appearances, including a national runner-up finish in 1987. He also guided them to 10 Southern Conference championships and was named the SoCon Coach of the Year six times. In 2022, he was inducted into the Furman Athletics Hall of Fame.

DAYTON

Last Fall Dayton men’s golf coach Gip Hoagland announced his retirement at the end of the 2025-26 season. Hoagland spent 18 years at Dayton.

Dayton has posted the job and is accepting applications of the next 10 days.

JAMES MADISON

James Madison has announced that head women's coach Tommy Baker  has received a contract extension through the 2028-29 academic year. Baker, in his eighth season as head coach of JMU.

"We're pleased to extend Tommy Baker as our women's golf head coach," Director of Athletics Matt Roan said. "With Tommy leading the team, a positive culture has been established and excellence has been achieved, as evidenced through many academic, athletic, and personal success stories, including a conference championship. He's had several seasons as a top-seeded program based on regular season performance, and he has had both team and individual representation in NCAA postseason competition. The Sun Belt is certainly a challenging golf league, and we're confident that Tommy is positioning the program for success this year and beyond. Specifically, I'd like to commend him for his approach to mentoring our student-athletes to be well-rounded students and leaders on this campus and in their future endeavors."

OHIO STATE

Ohio State women's golf head coach Lisa Strom has announced the promotion of Alejandra Cangrejo to associate head coach.

“Aleja has been instrumental in our growth — from record-setting performances on the course to the daily development of our student-athletes,” said Strom. “This elevation to Associate Head Coach reflects the value she brings to every aspect of our program.”

Cangrejo, who is from Bogota, Colombia, played her collegiate golf at Duke.

VANDERBILT

Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh announced the addition of Jake Doggett as the team’s assistant coach.

Doggett joins the Commodores after a three-year stint as a professional golfer, competing on the All Pro Tour. Recently, he was a caddie for Vanderbilt alum Cole Sherwood during the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour season.

“We are excited to welcome Jake to our Vandy Golf Family,” said Limbaugh. “I always look to add people that bring positive energy and a strong work ethic to our program, and I believe Jake will do that.  It is important to me to give guys opportunities that have a desire to coach and learn because that was done for me.  Jake is a high-character guy who came highly recommended by some of our former players.  He was a great player and a winner, and we believe he will help us elevate our program for years to come.”

The Hutto, Texas, native was a three-time All-American at NCAA Division II Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas. Doggett played for the Mustangs from 2017-2022 and set five career school records and nine single-season program records. He was a finalist for the GCAA/Barbasol Jack Nicklaus Player of the Year in 2022.

“I’m very grateful to be joining the Vanderbilt family,” said Doggett. “This is an incredible opportunity for me, and I can’t wait to work with Coach Limbaugh and learn from him and the rest of the team. I’m a very competitive person who loves to win, so I’m ready to bring a lot of energy and passion every day. This program has had phenomenal success in the past, and I’m fired up to have the chance to help the team keep building and continue that winning tradition.”

Doggett replaces Brady Edwards, who recently took an assistant coach job at New Mexico.

APPALACHIAN STATE

Appalachian State has named Holt Allison as an assistant men’s golf coach, head coach John Michael Cole recently announced. Allison, who is from Conover, N.C., finished his collegiate career last spring at Lenoir-Rhyne. Allison was a first-team All-SAC performer, four-year starter and a team captain. Allison helped lead the Bears to their first-ever NCAA Regional appearance in 2024, followed by a second consecutive bid in 2025. As a team, Lenoir-Rhyne finished the season with a No. 22 national ranking and posted eight top-five finishes, including a win at the Lenoir-Rhyne Fall Invitational. Allison finished the season with three individual victories. Allison was ranked No. 22 individually in Division II.

WICHITA STATE

Everyone was probably expecting more elimination in college golf, but it seems to remain minimal in regards to programs and staff being cut in the world of college golf.

Here is one that just happened. Wichita State has announced it will reduce the size of its athletic department staff. The athletic department is cutting five total positions. Among the cuts include the assistant men’s golf coach Mark Leroux and assistant women’s golf coach Alejandra Heinen.

Also Wichita State is eliminating an associate athletic director, a senior content producer and an academic coordinator.

January 27

KENNESAW STATE

Abigail Bolt has been named assistant women's golf coach at Kennesaw State. Bolt reunites with head coach Ket Vanderpool after three seasons together at Georgia State. "Abby will be a great addition to our team serving as our assistant coach," Vanderpool said. "She has a strong knowledge of the game which will help cultivate our players skills and performance on the course. Additionally, she was a member of Appalachian State women's golf team from 2017-21. Her recent experience being a student-athlete will elevate our student-athletes experience during their time at Kennesaw State. I am excited to have Abby join our team. Go Owls!"  Together with Vanderpool, the pair coached GSU to some of their most successful seasons in recent years, including nine top-five team finishes and 10 top-10 individual finishes – with four tournament victories.  "I am thrilled to be joining Kennesaw State's women's golf program!" Bolt said. "I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Ket and this incredible team. I am excited to contribute my experience to help guide the next generation of college golfers. I'm looking forward to making meaningful memories as we continue to elevate the program to new heights." Bolt played her college golf at Appalachian State.

NEW MEXICO

The University of New Mexico has announced Brady Edwards as the program’s assistant coach. Edwards comes to New Mexico after spending the past two-and-a-half seasons at Vanderbilt as an assistant coach and director of operations. Edwards replaces Sam Saunders.“I am excited to be able to have Brady as our assistant coach,” New Mexico head coach Jake Harrington. “He has an incredible background helping players get better. Being one of my former players and team captains, he also understands the culture and expectations that we have for the program here at New Mexico. In addition, he has been able to learn from a couple of the best coaches in the country in Scott Limbaugh and Austin Cody at Vanderbilt over the last three years. In addition to his time at Vanderbilt, his experience as a head coach at South Mountain Community College, as well as working with TrackMan on the PGA Tour, will help him make an immediate impact with our golf team.”

Prior to Vanderbilt, Edwards spent the 2022-23 season as the men’s and women’s golf head coach at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix. The men’s golf team ranked No. 1 in National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II according to GolfStat and the Coaches America Poll and finished in a tie for third at the NJCAA Division II National Championships. The women’s team posted its highest ranking in program history, coming in at No. 12 in the GolfStat rankings. Edwards also had three men’s South Mountain golfers graduate and move on to NCAA Division I programs.“I am honored to be a part of such a historic golf program at the University of New Mexico,” said Edwards. “The tradition inside the walls of the golf facility show a long history with the players and coaches that have been here. To be able to learn from Coach Harrington, who was my college coach, makes this opportunity very special. Watching these current players compete at nationals and seeing their continued success makes me excited to join them this spring.”Edwards played golf collegiately at Little Rock for Harrington.

NEBRASKA

Lory Paradis joined the Nebraska women's golf program as an assistant coach in early January.

Paradis, who was a team captain as a player for Husker Head Coach Breanne Hall at Illinois State in 2024-25, came to Lincoln after serving as a graduate assistant coach for the Redbirds during the 2025 fall season.

Paradis spent her first four college seasons as a golfer at Fresno State before helping Illinois State capture the Missouri Valley Conference title as a first-year graduate student in 2024-25.

"I'm truly honored to join the University of Nebraska as the assistant women's golf coach," Paradis said. "The opportunity to work with Coach Hall is a great privilege. She brings so much knowledge and great leadership to the program. I am thrilled to work alongside her.  I am also excited to get to work with such talented student-athletes and contribute to their success both on and off the course."

Paradis was an apprentice teaching professional at Laval-sur-le-Lac Golf Club in the summer of 2025 and previously served as a freshman coach at Foisy Golf Academie in 2023-24.

January 21

After a 39-year coaching career (29 college & 10 high school) Baylor head coach Mike McGraw is retiring effective immediately.

McGraw won the 2006 NCAA title while coaching at Oklahoma State.

“This is the best thing for Pam and me right now. I am grateful to so many people for helping me along the way. Everyone at Oklahoma State, Alabama and Baylor. This journey through coaching has been so rewarding. I will miss coaching, but will continue to follow college golf closely.”
