Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White spoke to reporters ahead of the Connecticut Sun game on Wednesday.

Reporters asked her about different issues surrounding the team, particularly the status of some players' injuries. One of the topics that has grabbed a lot of headlines is Caitlin Clark's minutes restriction, which White admitted that the team is managing on a day-to-day basis.

A media member highlighted how the three-time All-Star has been "lobbying to be off from her restrictions." However, White remained non-committal about how long the team will monitor Clark's playing time.

"I have no idea," White said. "It's one day at a time."

Clark has missed multiple games this season due to a lingering back ailment. White and the medical staff are taking a cautious approach to potentially preserve Clark for the playoffs.

She missed the entire postseason last year due to a groin injury, and the team wants to make sure that won't happen again.

The 24-year-old has shown no signs of being hampered by her back issue, though, suiting up in back-to-back games and amassing 62 combined points. She played 29 minutes on Friday and 26 the following night.

The Fever turned their season around after splitting their first 10 games. They now stand at 16-10 and will maximize the All-Star break to rest their bodies ahead of the playoff race.

Indiana reached the second round in 2025 but has its sights set on a deeper run with Clark leading the way.
