The Los Angeles Clippers reportedly signed 7-foot-5 center Jamarion Sharp to a two-way contract in free agency, his agent Scott Nichols told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Sharp is coming off a breakout season with the Texas Legends in the G League. In his second professional season since going undrafted out of Ole Miss in 2024, Sharp was named the 2025-26 G League Defensive Player of the Year and a G League All-Defensive team selection.
He became the first Texas Legends player to win the DPOY award in history.
The 25-year-old finished the season leading the G League in blocks (3.8 per game) and field-goal percentage (71.2%). He also averaged 7.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in 24.9 minutes with the Legends.
Before beginning his NBA career, Sharp led the NCAA in blocks during the 2021-22 season (4.6 per game) and 2022-23 season (4.1 per game) while playing for Western Kentucky.
This summer, Sharp played for the Toronto Raptors’ Summer League team, averaging 7.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in 18.2 minutes across five total appearances. Now, his two-way contract with the Clippers will give Sharp an opportunity to make his NBA debut this season.
Clippers Fill All Three Two-Way Roster Spots
With the signing of Sharp, the Clipper have filled all three of their two-way roster spots. The other two-way players on the roster are Sean Pedulla and Nick Martinelli.
Pedulla was the 2025-26 G League Rookie of the Year and signed his two-way deal with the Clippers in February. The 23-year-old made his NBA debut with the Clippers against the Minnesota Timberwolves and played in a total of seven NBA games with Los Angeles last season.
Meanwhile, the Clippers signed Martinelli to a two-way contract after drafted the Northwestern forward with the No. 55 overall pick in the second round of the 2026 NBA Draft.
The Clippers will not need to make any corresponding moves to create space for Sharp on the roster. But if the franchise wants to sign another player to a two-way contract, the Clippers would have to waive either Sharp, Pedulla or Martinelli.
