Since having the perfect keyboard has grown to be a pivotal part of any setup, whether it's for productivity or for gaming, it's a must to have a keyboard that’s able to be the complete package. The Clevetura 1 keyboard sets out to be the complete keyboard package to handle any task, such as coding, editing photos, and word processing, due to its TouchOnKeys technology that allows you to move your cursor without using a mouse. At $249.00 USD, this keyboard's goal is to keep your hands on the Clevetura 1. But does that premise make for an enjoyable experience when handling the tasks you try to accomplish every day? In my opinion, mostly yes, as this is one of the coolest keyboards I’ve ever used despite some hiccups along the way.

Feature Set
I tested the Clevetura 1 Windows edition (compatible with Windows and Linux), but there’s also a Mac edition of the keyboard. Its main characteristic is its ability to type, swipe and scroll on the keyboard, with the function being able to work on Windows, Linux, and Mac. It contains low-profile scissor switches with the Touch On Keys surface. The keyboard allows for setup with customizable on-key gestures and touch sliders for ready-to-use presets for Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Miro, Figma, Chrome, Edge and more. Clevetura has also integrated AI into this device by filtering out accidental inputs and keypresses by recognizing your hands separately. It also features multi-device connectivity with 3 Bluetooth channels and USB-C, interactive RGB and up to 40 hours of uninterrupted work (without backlight) — around 1.5 weeks of normal usage. Up to 12 hours with per-key RGB backlight on. Depending on your preference, users can select from the Clevetura 1, a full-size 110-key keyboard priced at $249, or the Clevetura S, a compact 78-key keyboard with the same TouchOnKeys technology, also priced at $199.
Real-Life Testing
With all the features the Clevetura 1 offers, setup was straightforward on both Windows and Mac. While installing the TouchOnKeys app is required on macOS and optional on Windows and Linux, I recommend installing it regardless of your operating system since it unlocks the keyboard's full functionality. The only issue I encountered during setup was when I connected the keyboard to a Mac mini. Clicking on the Functions tab resulted in an error message that read, "Something went wrong, contact support."
When I first looked into the touch sliders and custom gesture functionality, I was a bit skeptical since the Clevetura 1 was the first keyboard I've used with this kind of technology. However, once I spent some time with it, the features quickly became part of my workflow. The top row doubles as touch-sensitive sliders, with one side controlling volume and the other adjusting either screen brightness or the keyboard's backlighting. You can also use pinch-to-zoom gestures in maps and images, scrub through video and audio while editing, and use the clickable buttons at the bottom center of the keyboard as left and right mouse buttons.
I also appreciated the ability to customize gestures for Chrome and other applications. While the Clevetura 1 didn't completely replace my mouse, it significantly reduced how often I needed to reach for it, making navigation much more convenient.
Typing on the Clevetura 1 felt excellent from the start, and I didn't need much time to adjust compared to other keyboards. The RGB lighting is also some of the best I've used. It's stylish without being distracting, highly customizable, and lets you control the lighting across different sections of the keyboard. I also liked the effect of the keys illuminating as I typed, which adds a nice touch without being overwhelming.
Final Verdict
The Clevetura 1 not only looks like a keyboard that looks and feels futuristic but also delivers functionality for a wide range of tasks, from basic web surfing to coding and video editing. If you're willing to pay a premium, the Clevetura 1 may be the last keyboard you’ll ever have to purchase.
Positives: Seeing the keyboard light up while typing is a really cool touch. The RGB lighting is unique and stands out compared to other keyboards. Being able to connect up to four devices makes it easy to use with all of my systems. Typing feels excellent on these switches. The touch gestures on the keys are the standout feature, allowing me to control the cursor directly from the keyboard, making everyday tasks more efficient.
Negatives: The TouchOnKeys software on Mac crashed a couple of times. Using the keyboard with the RGB lighting enabled while not connected via USB-C drains the battery more quickly. The learning curve for the touch controls could discourage some users.
