Prince William County's Christian Gomez has been selected to compete in the 2026 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
The game is Aug. 16 at Citizens Bank Park, which is the home of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Gomez is the only player from Virginia on the 60-player roster. The outfielder will play for the East Squad.
The rising senior helped lead Battlefield to the Class 6 state title in June.
He will play for the PDG Academy in Fredericksburg this coming school year.
A University of North Carolina commitment, Gomez is rated the No. 105 high school baseball player in the country for the class of 2027 by Baseball America.
Gomez hit .382 with 16 runs scored and 20 RBI for Battlefield this past season.
Competing this summer on the travel-ball circuit, Gomez is hitting .458.
