NBA Summer League is over, and the Boston Celtics' roster continues to take shape.
That includes the future of Jordan Walsh with a new contract update.
On Monday, Walsh's contract with the Celtics becomes fully guaranteed for $2.4 million, according to Spotrac's Keith Smith.
"Walsh will be extension-eligible throughout the balance of the season," Smith writes. "He can extend for up to 140% of the average player salary, which would start at $21.2M per season."
While Walsh won't be signing a contract for nearly that much, the news that his contract is fully guaranteed means he isn't going anywhere, at least for the time being.
The wing rotation in Boston is crowded, so a trade wouldn't be out of the question eventually, but for now, the Celtics have ensured they've still got Walsh around when training camp arrives.

The 22-year old from Texas, by way of the University of Arkansas, stands 6-foot-6 and has already played parts of three NBA seasons.
Walsh had very little action as a rookie, but he played 52 games in 2024-25 and 68 games in 2025-26.
This past season was by far Walsh's best, and it included 25 starts. Overall, he averaged 5.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.5 blocks per game.
Walsh also raised his 3-point shooting to 38.4%, much better than it had been prior.
At 6-foot-6, Walsh is going to have to prove that his shooting improvements were legitimate. If they were, he'll likely maintain a spot in Boston's rotation even with Jayson Tatum fully healthy for the season ahead.
Walsh's biggest task will be proving to the Celtics that he belongs in their future plans. He's still young and has some skill, so what he does next will be informative to Brad Stevens and company, one way or the other.
