An offensive lineman for the Arizona Cardinals is facing legal trouble just months before the start of the 2026-27 season. While the investigation is ongoing, it’s said that the newly turned 26-year-old right guard will still report to training camp.
Isaiah Adams, who is a former third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, is facing four charges related to guns and gangs,” according to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN. He was officially charged with possessing a weapon by crime, possessing a restricted or prohibited firearm without a license, possessing a loaded firearm, and possessing a prohibited device.
“Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Isaiah Adams is facing four charges related to a guns and gangs investigation in his home country of Canada, according to authorities, but a source told ESPN that Adams will still report to training camp Wednesday,” Weinfuss reported.

Reports indicate that Adams turned himself in to the Durham Regional Police (East Toronto) on Sunday, July 19. His sister, Allyson Mae Adams, is facing the same four charges. Adams, who is entering his third NFL season, is currently in Arizona preparing for training camp.
ESPN also claims that two other individuals were arrested due to the investigation launched by the Durham Regional Police Department’s Guns and Gangs Unit. Those two individuals were charged with trafficking fentanyl, and it’s said officers found over three kilograms of fentanyl in a vehicle.
The Cardinals issued a statement regarding Isaiah Adams’ status. The organization simply acknowledged they are aware of Adams’ charges, and claimed they do not have anything else to say on the subject.
“We are aware of the situation involving Isaiah Adams,” the Cardinals said. “Out of respect for the process, we will refrain from commenting further at this time.”
Adams has played 32 games in his career so far, starting in 16. He is expected to compete for the starting right guard job with 2026 second-round pick Chase Bisontis. The Cardinals are scheduled to begin training camp on Wednesday, July 22.
