The Haptons just got a bit more glamorous.
Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell and The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Margaret Josephs are joining the cast of The Golden Life after E! officially picked up additional episodes of the upcoming reality series.
The Golden Life reunites the original stars of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City as Kelly Bensimon, Countess Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, and Ramona Singer trade Palm Beach luxury for the Hamptons, where they’ll cross paths with Bushnell and Josephs for plenty of day drinking, decadence, and, of course, drama.
The announcement was made on Instagram, with each of The Golden Life ladies sharing the news and welcoming Bushnell and Josephs to the cast. With the caption: “After Palm Beach, we’re headed to the Hamptons! E! is officially picking up additional episodes of The Golden Life with Candace Bushnell and Margaret Josephs joining the show. The first half of The Golden Life premiere season is coming this fall on E!”
“Life just got a little more Golden,” says Singer in the video. “And, we have some good friends joining us,” exclaimed Medley as she introduced Josephs and Bushnell. “I’m joining The Golden Life on E!,” announced Josephs, followed by Bushnell, who said, “Along with a good friend: Yours truly!”
The show marks a return to reality television for both Bushnell and Josephs. Bushnell previously served as a celeb judge on the CBS competition series Wickedly Perfect, which aired from 2004 to 2005, and has also made several guest appearances on The Real Housewives of New York City.
For Josephs, The Golden Life marks her first reality series since announcing her exit from The Real Housewives of New Jersey in March 2026, after seven seasons. Her final full-time appearance came in Season 14 before she officially left the franchise.
The addition of Josephs and Bushnell was not the only notable casting development leading up to the series. RHONY alum Jill Zarin was originally cast in the series but was removed after posting a racist social media rant about Bad Bunny‘s Super Bowl halftime performance. Medley took her place in the lineup.
