A brush fire in Ramona, California is spreading at a critical rate and has prompted evacuations in nearby communities.
A vegetation fire, dubbed the Creelman Fire, is moving fast in Ramona on Wednesday.
According to Cal Fire, the fire now spreads over 315 acres and is “0 percent contained.”
At around 3:30 p.m., per the report, the fire spread to 40 acres. Less than 30 minutes later, the fire jumped to 80 acres and was spreading fast.
Evacuation Orders have been issued for nearby communities. A temporary evacuation point has been set up at Ramona High School.
An evacuation order means everyone in those areas should leave immediately while those in the evacuation warning should be prepared to evacuated if conditions change.
An active smoke advisory was issued due to the fire for all of East County, affecting those around the San Diego Country Estates, according to the San Diego County Air Pollution District, per NBC San Diego.
