Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams made sure to make his opinion known on a matter that the NFL has not resolved for the players yet.

The NFL is not a perfect organization, but there is one issue that has not yet been resolved that really should be.

For years, there have been complaints from NFL players that there aren't grass fields in every NFL stadium. While the noise has been loud from them, the league has refused to step in and has just let the teams decide for themselves.

With the World Cup having been completed, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams took to social media heading into the weekend with a message. He posted a photo of someone taking care of the grass field with the caption on the image, "Why can't we have that too?" Williams added a hashtag that said "#worththecost.

Luckily for the Bears, they have real Bermuda grass on the ground at Soldier Field. Not every NFL player is lucky to have that.

14 NFL stadiums currently have artificial turf entering the 2026 season. The worst offenders in this are the New York Jets and Giants at MetLife Stadium, where there have been some serious injuries due to the field.

Studies have shown that players on turf have a significantly higher risk of lower-leg injuries than on grass. The trends show that the number of injuries in NFL turf stadiums is increasing each year.

That's a big reason for the recent push with grass fields over artificial turf, as grass is easier on players than turf. The problem is that NFL teams save money on turf because they wouldn't have to water the grass constantly or spend money on its care.

There will come a point when NFL teams will have no choice but to deal with the grass on every field, but the league won't do anything about it. FIFA required grass fields for all the U.S. stadiums during the World Cup over the last month. Seeing that has motivated the NFL players more than ever to step up and say something.

Williams and the rest of the players are only going to get louder about their opinions that the league's stadiums need grass now. Football fans will have to see if the owners will ever get to the point of all agreeing that it needs to happen in the future.
