Clark averaged 25.0 points on 63% shooting from the field and added 7.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game.

Despite all the negativity surrounding the WNBA and Caitlin Clark, the former Hawkeye superstar is finally getting back to her normal self.

After a myriad of injuries sidelined her last season and a lingering back issue has held her back this season, she still continues to produce at a very high rate. In 22 games this season, she is averaging a career-high 20.7 points per game, even though she is playing under 30 minutes per game (29.3). She is also shooting a career-high 42.7 percent from the field. Clark has already earned one Player of the Month Award in June and is pushing for a back-to-back.

Clark earned the AP Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 45 points

All the Clark haters are running out of things to hate, especially after he recent hot stretch of play. She proved why she is still one of the best offensive players in the league after dropping a career-high 45 points against the Seattle Storm, while also dishing out 10 assists. He game against the Storm is easily one of the best in WNBA history as she became the first WNBA player with 45-plus points and 10-plus assists in a game.

After setting two WNBA records and an Indiana franchise record, Clark added another Player of the Week Award to her resume.

From July 13 to 19, Clark averaged 25.0 points per game on 63 percent shooting from the field, and added 7.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game, earning her the AP Player of the Week. Most notably during that stretch, Clark created over 40 points per game, and the Fever won two of their three games. The Fever had a brutal stretch of games, but now have three straight games against teams with losing records in the Connecticut Sun (7-19), Seattle Storm (6-22), and the Portland Fire (11-15).

Clark was having a rough July before putting up 45 against the Storm, but she is still averaging 19.2 points, 6.4 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game this month. With a much easier stretch of games on the horizon, she could easily bump her numbers up, but she has to be more efficient from three-point range and cut down on her turnovers. She is shooting 27 percent from beyond the arc through five games this month and is averaging just under five turnovers per game (4.6). Clark consistently has the ball in her hands, but the Fever are much more lethal when she doesn't force bad passes.

It will be interesting to see if Fever head coach Stephanie White continues to restrict Clark's minutes as the season progresses, especially after the All-Star break, because they need her for a deep playoff run. If Clark can stay healthy and find her shooting touch from beyond the arc, the Fever will be a team to watch out for down the stretch and into the playoffs.
