In his latest 2027 NFL mock draft for Pro Football Network, Josh Weil has the Denver Broncos selecting Georgia safety KJ Bolden with the 20th overall pick in the first round.
"KJ Bolden projects as a defensive leader and 'glue guy' whose role and phase versatility, physicality, football IQ, and range yield impact starter upside," Weil wrote for PFN. "As a mover, he operates at a controlled pace that sometimes masks his top-end athleticism. But in quick-reaction and chase scenarios, his short-area twitch, swivel fluidity, hip sink, springy explosion, and long-strider speed shine."
Bolden (6-0, 185 pounds) totaled 76 tackles, five pass breakups, two interceptions and one fumble recovery in 14 games with the Bulldogs last fall. He's now entering his junior season of college football.
Broncos safeties Brandon Jones (2027) and Talanoa Hufanga (2028) are set to hit free agency over the next two offseasons, so the team would be wise to begin planning ahead at the position. The 2027 NFL draft will be held in Washington, D.C., from April 29 to May 1.
