The Montgomery County Department of Police released the bodycam footage of a police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle on Wednesday.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) released the bodycam footage of a police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle on Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on July 14, when an officer patrolling Silver Spring saw a red Honda Accord that had been reported stolen four days prior.

The officer tried to pull the car over, but the 33-year-old driver refused to stop, prompting a pursuit. Police said there was a short chase before the driver jumped out of the vehicle and tried to run on foot.

Police said she was taken into custody, and suspected controlled dangerous substances and paraphernalia were seized. Her identity has not been released.

According to police, the stolen vehicle was recovered.
