Telemundo and Billboard have revealed the date for the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards.
This year's edition of the ceremony - dubbed the longest-running and most prestigious Latin music award show - will take place at the James L. Knight Center in Miami on Thursday, Oct. 22, and will broadcast live on Telemundo and Peacock.
The Billboard Latin Music Awards honors the top artists, albums and songs of the year, as determined by the sales, streaming, radio airplay and social data that informs Billboard's weekly charts during a one-year period. The show will also feature exciting performances from genres including Latin pop, tropical, and música mexicana.
The Billboard Latin Music Awards will coincide with the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Week, returning to the Faena Forum in Miami Beach from Oct. 19 to 22.
Recognized as the highest profile and most influential gathering in the Latin music industry, now in its 37th edition, the weeklong event will include a programming of exclusive artist conversations, business panels with key executives, its celebrated Billboard en Vivo showcases and countless networking opportunities.
"We have been part of the history, and the future, of Latin music," Leila Cobo, Billboard's co-chief content officer, said at the 2025 Latin Music Week press conference. "Latin music is bigger than ever, it's more global than ever. Around the world, it's the genre that has grown the fastest."
Last year, Bad Bunny was top winner, taking home 11 awards including artist of the year. He was closely followed by Karol G and Fuerza Regida with six and five awards, respectively. Finalists for the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards will be announced soon.
