Today, the beloved actor is celebrating his 80th birthday, a milestone that comes after sharing a deeply personal health update with fans.
In early July, Glover announced that he'd been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
"I’m still not accepting in my mind all parts of it," he told People magazine of his diagnosis. “There are the moments that you keep remembering that validate the fact that you can remember stuff. And there are moments I’ll never forget."
Despite the diagnosis, Glover said he's determined to keep living life on his own terms. While he acknowledged the challenges that come with Alzheimer's disease, he also spoke about focusing on the present as he navigates his new normal.

Some of those upcoming titles are Dionne, which follows the life and career of the legendary Dionne Warwick, and Killing Winston James, a comedy co-starring Richard Dreyfus.
"I still have my daughter, I have friends. I want to just say, your life continues," he told People.
