The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department is working to identify a suspect in the alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl inside the men’s restroom at Lynwood Park, near the baseball fields.
The sheriff says it happened at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, near the baseball fields at 11307 Bullis Road in Lynwood.
Detectives said they’re investigating a person of interest in the assault and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
He’s described as a Hispanic man, approximately 30 years old, with shoulder-length black hair, brown eyes, 5 foot 5 inches, with a thin build and wearing a black sweater, black shirt and blue jeans.
The sheriff says the suspect is a possible transient who frequents the park.
