Aston Martin honors Vanquish milestone in style
Aston Martin has unveiled the limited Vanquish 25, a celebration of the British marque’s halo V12-powered sports car. It’s been a quarter of a century since the original Vanquish was introduced, succeeding the Virage. Since then, we’ve seen this design masterpiece evolve over three generations, with the latest model going into production in 2024. The new Aston Martin Vanquish 25 will be produced in extremely limited numbers in an exclusive specification, while still sporting a large-capacity V12 under its sleek hood.

What’s New For The Vanquish 25?
Aston Martin’s bespoke service, Q by Aston Martin, was responsible for crafting the Vanquish 25’s unique specification. The team drew inspiration from the launch specification of the original model in 2001 but employed the latest handcrafting techniques to achieve the desired finish.
The Vanquish 25 is finished in Q Skye Silver paintwork and features Q Commission metal foil detailing on the side sills and shield vanes. There are stainless steel side strakes, a Q Commission exhaust finisher, and exclusive ‘Vanquish 25’ badging. The 21-inch forged alloy wheels have a new ‘V’ applied to them, too. There’s nothing flashy or garish about these special touches, which give the car an even stealthier look.
In the cabin, the Vanquish 25 gains exclusive trim perforation patterns and trim splits. There are laser-etched Aston Martin trim inlays and the number ‘25’ has been classily embroidered into the headrests. A black Alcantara headlining can be paired with one of three interior trim colors: Onyx Black, Oxford Tan, or Phantom Grey. If you choose grey or black, the only splash of color is the elegantly crafted red start/stop button.
When we drove the Vanquish Volante last year, we noted the beautifully sculpted seats and the tactility engineered into every switch and knob. Aston hasn’t yet gone the overly minimalist route; sitting in this car is still a rich, memorable experience.
Like the standard Vanquish, the ‘25’ models feature the same 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine. It produces 823 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque, enabling a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of just 3.3 seconds and top speed of 214 mph.

Availability and Pricing
Aston Martin will only build 50 examples of the Vanquish 25 globally, split evenly between the coupe and Volante convertible. That level of exclusivity alone will drive up values, but pricing has not been shared by the automaker.
A standard Vanquish V12 costs over $430,000, while the Volante is closer to $490,000. We expect a premium of at least $50,000 to be applied to these special-edition models, which means the Volante will easily cost over half a million.
The Vanquish 25 will make its global premier at Monterey Car Week in California next month and first deliveries are due in the fourth quarter of 2026.
“25 years on from the unveiling of the very first Vanquish it is only right that we mark this nameplate's contribution to our heritage,” said Vittorio Gabba, Head of Q at Aston Martin. “Vanquish 25 builds on the extraordinary achievements of the modern, third-generation Vanquish with a carefully curated package of exterior and interior features that subtly celebrate this important milestone in our history.”
Aston’s Famous V12 Is Sticking Around For Now
V12-powered sports and luxury cars have become increasingly rare, with the Vanquish being one of the last remaining vestiges of the iconic powertrain. Aston Martin plans to keep the V12 around for a good few years, but CEO Adrian Hallmark said recently that this is only possible if production numbers are low.
By keeping V12 sales to under 1,000 units per year, the automaker will be exempt from legislation until 2035 at least. That would give us another decade for the Vanquish or a potential successor, but don’t expect to see many of them roaring past you in the left lane.
The V12’s increasing scarcity should further boost values of special-edition models like the Vanquish 25, as it becomes harder for automakers to justify building them.
For now, we still have the privilege of seeing a beautiful, V12-powered GT like the Vanquish roll off the production line.
