The wait for PluribusSeason 2 continues, as progress on the new episodes hasn't been as far along as fans may have hoped. Amid the wait, Apple TV shared new footage related to Pluribus, giving fans of the acclaimed series something new to watch.
On X, the official account for Apple TV shared a video noting, "Pluribus bloopers have arrived." The attached video clip, which runs about a minute and a half long, features Rhea Seehorn and other stars of the show in some of the filming moments gone wrong. The amusing clip is certainly not the same as getting all-new episodes of the TV series, but it does provide a fun watch for fans. Check out the post below.
Pluribus Is a Major Hit for Apple TV
Pluribus was highly praised upon arrival, holding a near-perfect approval rating of 99% on Rotten Tomatoes. It has since been nominated for 18 Emmy Awards for this year's upcoming ceremony. At this point, seven months have passed since the first season wrapped up its run on Apple TV at the end of last year. However, Apple TV programming head Matt Cherniss recently confirmed that the writing process was still in its early stages for Season 2. This is partly by design, as the streamer wants creator Vince Gilligan to take all the time he needs to perfect the scripts for the new episodes.
"Vince is really ambitious with Season 2, and really taking time to make sure that the show lives up to everyone’s expectations," he told Variety. "It too is a very complicated show when it comes to executing and shooting, so I think that that would be tough for us to fit into that next cycle. But we’re starting to see early drafts, and everyone’s moving at a good pace. So excited to see that one come back."
The Writing Process Isn't Being Rushed for Season 2
In a separate interview for the Inside of You podcast, Seehorn also said about the new season, "I don’t have anything, but I know they’re so hard at work. I haven’t even dropped by the office for fear of disturbing them. There is every intention to get us started as fast as we can. I know that that’s so important to the whole writing stuff, but it’s also important to them to maintain the level of writing and production that they’ve done in the past and to reward the intelligence of our audience.”
The show follows Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul) as Carol Sturka, an author who happens to be one of very few people immune to a mind-altering alien virus. Pluribus also stars Karolina Wydra (True Blood), Carlos-Manuel Vesga (Operación Pacífico), Miriam Shor (The Americans), and Samba Schutte (Our Flag Means Death).
Pluribus is streaming on Apple TV.
