DBZ fans can rock the dragon in style this summer, with Converse revealing a new sneaker collection starring Goku, Cell and even an iconic fusion.

Dragon Ball Z fans who want to represent some of the most iconic heroes and villains in the franchise can do so this summer, as Converse has revealed a brand-new collaboration that brings Saiyans and their enemies to footwear later this year.

Some of the best-known characters in the Dragon Ball franchise are having their designs adapted to a new collection of Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers. According to Sneaker News, seven pairs of Converse are on the way.

The seven color schemes and aesthetics are based on Goku and the four-star Dragon Ball, Vegeta in his Saiyan Saga outfit complete with Scouter, Shenron the dragon, final form Frieza, Cell, Majin Buu, and both Goten and Trunks performing the Fusion Dance (the latter design with one character on each shoe).

Those who want to purchase from the new collection can do so starting on July 23, 2026, in both North America and China, via Converse By You, with a worldwide release following on Aug. 11. The collection will also feature two T-shirt designs and a hoodie for those who want to power up their fit to the max.

Dragon Ball Z is arguably the most popular era of the franchise internationally. For many fans outside Japan, it was their entry point to the series, as it was adapted for broadcast before the original Dragon Ball in many regions. It's therefore no surprise that the Dragon Ball Z iterations of characters tend to appear the most in official crossovers and collaborations for major apparel brands.

The characters chosen for the collaboration will also come as little surprise, although other main fan favorites like Gohan, Piccolo and Future Trunks are notable omissions. Diehard fans may also be sad that series stalwarts such as Krillin and Yamcha also didn't make it in -- even if they've come to be the butt of numerous memes when so many powered-up Saiyans are around.

Notably, this is far from the only major animation collaboration that Converse has revealed designs for, with previous designs released for the likes of Naruto, Oshi no Ko, Sanio's Hello Kitty and Friends and The Powerpuff Girls.
