A 28-year-old Vineland man was arrested and charged with killing his father in Bridgeton, authorities announced Tuesday, July 21.
On Sunday July 19, at 12:15pm Bridgeton Police received a complaint describing a bad odor coming from a residence on Fayette Street in the City of Bridgeton, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said.
Upon officers’ arrival they located Anthony Williams, a 67-year-old Bridgeton man dead and in an advanced state of decomposition, Webb-McRae said. Anttoine Williams, his son, stabbed his father on Wednesday, July 15 and then tampered with the evidence to conceal the crime, Webb-McRae said.
Williams is charged with homicide, multiple weapons offenses and tampering with evidence, Webb-McRae said.
