Angel Reese is heading back to Chicago this week for the WNBA All-Star weekend. The Atlanta Dream star has been voted into her third All-Star Game amid a season in which she's averaging 15.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
While that is enough to get Reese hyped up for the All-Star Game, there are several other reasons for her to be excited about the festivities.
For one, her teammate Rhyne Howard, who also made the All-Star Game, will be participating in the 3-Point Contest on Friday. Howard has been chosen as a competitor, alongside Marina Mabrey, Azzi Fudd, Bridget Carleton, Natisha Hiedeman and Janelle Salaun.
After Reese heard the news, she was quick to express her delight. She even indicated that she will be at Wintrust Arena to support her Dream teammate during the event.
With that in mind, Reese made a request to her followers as she prepares for the competition. She wants to cheer for Howard, and she plans to go all-out with a custom T-shirt and a sign.
"I need a RHYNE HOWARD TEE & SIGN made by FRIDAY," Reese wrote on her Instagram story, as she shared the Dream's post about Howard's participation in the 3-Point Contest.
It remains to be seen if someone can deliver on Reese's request. However, it's not the first time that the WNBA star has made a request on social media on such short notice.
For context, during Game 5 of the 2024 WNBA Finals, Reese asked if anyone could make her a split jersey of Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier and New York Liberty icon Breanna Stewart since she wanted to support both players. Fortunately for her, a follower made it possible despite having less than 24 hours to create the item.
