Amanda Batula tells Kyle Cooke why she's still dating West Wilson: Hear his reaction

Kyle Cooke Makes a Damning Statement on When Amanda and West Actually Got Together
Amanda Batula Tells Kyle Cooke Why She's Still Dating West Wilson: Hear His Reaction

In The City's Amanda Batula claimed West Wilson gives her what was "lacking" in her marriage to Kyle Cooke.

Amanda Batula revealed why she and West Wilson are still together on the In The City Season 1 reunion, leaving Kyle Cooke with even more to get off his chest.

Host Andy Cohen wasted no time in getting some rapid-fire updates on Amanda and West's relationship, during Part 1 of the In The City reunion. After he opened the floor for the cast to weigh in on the dating scandal, Nick Barber opined that the issues Amanda was "most upset with Kyle about" seemed to be "ten times worse" with West.

"That's not what I've been experiencing whatsoever," Amanda insisted. "And on the flip side, I'm actually getting from him things I felt I was lacking in my relationship with Kyle." When Andy asked her to elaborate, Amanda explained, "Just someone that's been, like, supportive, that I feel like..."

As she began to stumble over her words, Kyle interjected, "Let me know when he does your taxes, negotiates your brand deals, makes your bed... How did I not support you?"

Amanda replied, "I didn't say you don't support me, but towards the end of our relationship, there were things that were missing. Not the whole time, but there were things that were lacking."

Kyle's response? "To this day, I'm still doing things to help you," he said. "It still hurts when you say things like that. I understand our marriage was not perfect. I understand there was a lot missing. I don't think support was."

Amanda further unpacked that the way West talks to her and "just his actions" in general are ultimately what differentiates the two relationships. Kyle immediately agreed that he and West are very different people, before pointing out to his estranged wife, "It's not the first time he's said the right thing to somebody to kind of wrap them around his finger."

What Kyle Cooke still "can't compute" about Amanda Batula and West Wilson's relationship timeline

When Kenny Martin chimed in to mention "the level of betrayal" involved in Amanda and West getting together, she pushed back on his characterization, underscoring how she and Kyle were separated before her new relationship began. "There was no betrayal," Amanda stated. "I didn't cheat on Kyle. I didn't have an affair. There was no crossover, overlap. Like, our marriage was done."

Kyle, for his part, said that it still "did hurt" and went on to detail the one thing he still "can't compute" regarding Amanda and West's relationship timeline. He recapped how they released their joint breakup statement on Jan. 19, which was less than three weeks before the Super Bowl. "And everybody talks about the Super Bowl being that point in time where West said that you guys were an item," Kyle added.

However, Amanda claimed that she and West "weren't an item at all" and were only "texting" when the Super Bowl took place on Feb. 8, to which Kyle responded, "Well, take it up with him, because he's out there running his mouth before apparently you guys were an item, saying you're an item."

After Amanda confirmed that she had talked to West but still didn't know what his M.O. was, Kyle continued, "I only bring that up because I am still... Like, there's still stuff that I still am processing." Andy, then, asked who he felt "more betrayed by" between the two, and Kyle answered, "West, because we were boys."

Even amid their uncomfortable exchanges at the reunion, Kyle gave Amanda credit for taking the criticism "on the chin" and reminded her that he and the others do "care about" her. That prompted Kenny to declare that Kyle had been "very dignified" throughout the whole situation, and even Amanda agreed. "Kyle's been the best," she said.

When the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host asked for Amanda's take on Kyle's "level of support" through their split and her new relationship, she told him, "I am eternally grateful for Kyle. I think it just shows how much we do have love for each other, and I think it's something that we've made clear from the very beginning. Unfortunately, like, we could not communicate, we could not get along in our marriage. But that doesn't take away from the friendship and the love that we've had for each other this whole time."

That's ultimately why Amanda said she, too, was "always standing up for" Kyle immediately following their separation announcement. "I didn't want people to attack him," she elaborated. "And I'm just really appreciative that he's been there for me as well, because if anyone knows each other better, it's the two of us. So, I've been very grateful to have him."

After Kyle responded, "I don't know any other way, so it's... it's been a ride," Amanda revealed that, now, she even loves hearing about Kyle's post-split hookups. "He tells me about makeouts that he has, and we laugh about it," she said. According to castmate Georgina Ferzli, Amanda even "had tears in her eyes" while telling Kyle during May's In The City premiere party how proud she was to hear that he has "sober sex" now, even if it is with someone else.
