AirJoule Technologies Corporation AIRJ shares surged on Wednesday after the climate-tech company announced a commercial partnership with Kubota Corporation KUBTY.

The surge reflects strong market interest in the deal’s near-term revenue potential, which includes an initial purchase of two systems, exclusive distribution rights in key Sunbelt states, and a path to a broader national rollout.

Initial Deployments

Kubota will exclusively market, sell and distribute AirJoule’s atmospheric water generation systems for multi-unit residential developments in Texas and California.

Kubota purchased two AirJoule Core systems for deployments near Corpus Christi, Texas, and Irvine, California. The projects are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2026.

Expansion Potential

The deployments will pair AirJoule’s water-from-air technology with Kubota’s wastewater treatment, reclamation and infrastructure capabilities. The companies will collect operating data to validate performance across different environmental conditions.

AirJoule and Kubota may expand the partnership based on deployment results, customer demand and integration feasibility.

Water Demand

The companies aim to provide decentralized water systems where traditional infrastructure is unavailable, costly or constrained by water scarcity.

"This partnership with Kubota represents an important milestone as we commercialize AirJoule," AirJoule CEO Matt Jore said.

Kubota executive Wataru Kondo said the companies see "significant near-term demand" from residential developers and expect broader U.S. deployment.
