for an 8x8 inch pan
- Dark chocolate 50% 240 g
- Sugar 120 g
- Butter 120 g
- Eggs 110 g (circa 2 medie)
- Type 00 flour 90 g
- Dark chocolate chips 50 g
- Unsweetened cocoa powder 20 g
- Fine salt 1 pizzico
Preparation
To make the air fryer brownies, first chop the dark chocolate with a knife (1), place it in a bowl, and melt it in a double boiler or microwave. Also, melt the butter separately, add it to the melted chocolate (2), and stir with a spatula, then let it cool slightly (3).
In a large bowl, pour the eggs and sugar (4), add a pinch of salt (5), and beat with electric whisks (6).
In about 10 minutes, you'll get a light and frothy mixture (7), then add the cooled chocolate and butter mixture (8) and mix for a couple of minutes with the whisks (9).
Turn off the whisks and sift the cocoa (10) and the flour (11). Incorporate the dry ingredients with the whisks until obtaining a shiny and homogeneous batter (12).
Pour the mixture into an 8x8 inch baking dish lined with wet and squeezed parchment paper (13). Level the surface and sprinkle with chocolate chips (14). Place the pan in the air fryer basket and bake for 30 minutes at 320°F in pastry mode (15) (we used a 6-quart fryer).
After the baking time, remove the dessert (16) and take off the parchment paper. Let it cool slightly, then cut the brownie into squares (17). Your air fryer brownies are ready to be enjoyed on their own or with a dusting of powdered sugar (18)!
Storage
Air fryer brownies can be stored for 3-4 days at room temperature.
You can freeze them after baking.
Tip
If you like, you can enrich your air fryer brownies with dried fruits like walnuts, hazelnuts, or almonds.
