Bayley’s WWE future continues to spark discussion as her current contract reportedly nears expiration.

While there has been no confirmation that the former Women’s Champion is leaving WWE, a new report suggests another major promotion has been monitoring the situation for much longer than many fans may have realized.

The latest update comes amid ongoing storyline developments involving Bayley and Lyra Valkyria on WWE television.

AEW reportedly has long-standing interest in Bayley

According to Fightful Select, Bayley’s contract situation has been a topic of conversation within AEW for an extended period. The report states that the promotion would make a strong push for the WWE star if she enters free agency.

Fightful Select reported:

“Bayley’s contract and potential free agency have been a conversation in AEW for quite some time, with the company expected to be heavily interested and to make a play for her if she becomes available. A number of sources had been discussing the possibility of Bayley joining AEW for almost a year.”

The report also notes that, unless injury time is added to her current deal, Bayley’s WWE contract is expected to expire later this year. As of now, WWE sources told Fightful that she has not signed a new contract. Nevertheless, the company is still believed to be interested in retaining the first-ever Women’s Grand Slam Champion.

Speculation surrounding her future has intensified in recent weeks. At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Lyra Valkyria defeated Bayley before attacking her after the match. During a commercial-break interview on the following episode of RAW, Valkyria claimed she had “run Bayley out of the company,” adding another layer to the ongoing storyline.

Outside the ring, Mercedes Moné has also fueled fan discussion by sharing social media posts referencing a potential Bayley appearance in AEW. However, those posts remain speculation and do not confirm any future plans.

For now, Bayley remains under a WWE contract, and no move has officially come to light. With her contract situation drawing attention from WWE and AEW, this story may have more twists before the final bell rings.
