Irish fashion lovers can score a front row seat at one of the hottest designer shows this autumn and they won't have to jet off to do so.

The designer revealed that he is 'so excited and so proud' to be hosting the AW/27 show in Dublin.

The Northern Irish designer announced the news on social media with the poster for the show boasting an elegant etching of a four leaf clover.

It featured a quote about the fashion house's founder Christian Dior by Carmel Snow, the editor-in-chief of American Harper's Bazaar from 1934 to 1958, who was born in Dublin.

It read: 'It's quite a revolution, dear Christian. Your dresses have such a new look.'

The collection will be unveiled at Trinity College against the backdrop of the university’s Old Library.

Showing the collection at the university will be 'a dream come true' for the acclaimed designer.

'I began my career in fashion in Dublin, so returning here feels deeply personal,' he said. 'To present this collection in such an extraordinary setting – at an institution with such an important cultural history – is a real honour.'

Mark your calendars as the runway presentation will take place on Friday, December 4.

While it won't be too long until fashion fans get to check out the latest looks from the French design house, they are still waiting with bated breath to get a glimpse of Taylor Swift's wedding dress.

The designer, who hails from Derry, recently opened up about the experience of creating the custom gown for the hitmaker.
