The Lotus Emira 420 Sport adds power and, with the right packages, cuts the curb weight compared to the V-6 variant, making it the most powerful Emira out there.
The Emira 420 Sport relies on a Mercedes-AMG-sourced turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.
It makes 416 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque—that's 16 horses more than the V-6 model.
Lotus estimates a 3.7-second sprint to 60, but we wager it's quicker than that.
Add the Lightweight Handling package, and you'll get sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, a lighter-weight lithium-ion
battery, a louvered composite panel in place of the rear glass, and a
titanium cat-back exhaust.
You can't see it in pictures, but the Emira's best attribute is its hydraulic steering.
