Toby Keith's 'Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue' hits No. 11 on Hot 100, 24 years later

Even over two years after his death, Toby Keith's music continues to soar to new heights.

The late country icon has reached a new chart record with his 2002 track "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)," which recently resurfaced on the Billboard charts and became Toby’s highest-ever charting song on the Hot 100.

24 years after the song's initial release, the patriotic song climbed to No. 11 on the Hot 100 earlier this month, marking the highest placement any of Keith's songs has ever reached on that chart.

"Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)," which sparked controversy when it first came out, rose to No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart following its release in 2002, becoming one of the 20 tracks Keith's catalog to do so.

The song gained momentum again this summer in the wake of the Fourth of July holiday, and it also helped resurface Keith's album 35 Biggest Hits back into the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 earlier this month. According toBillboard, "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)" accounted for "about one-third of the album's streams for the week."
