The legacy carrier has officially kicked off its annual "Beyond the Summer" event, rolling out a wave of limited-time travel deals, boosted partner rewards, and a high-value double-miles flash sale aimed at autumn escapes.
The absolute most urgent headline for frequent flyers is a tight, 72-hour booking window for double SkyMiles. Eligible SkyMiles members who enroll and lock in qualifying Delta Main Classic or Delta Main Extra tickets by July 23, 2026, will earn double miles on eligible flights across the airline's global network.

If you've been waiting for a reason to book an autumn long weekend or a late-season European vacation, the double-miles promotion covers a massive list of bucket-list destinations. Featured routes include major international hubs like Rome, Paris, Frankfurt, Sydney, Auckland, Seoul, Riyadh, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, alongside sun-drenched beach escapes like Honolulu, Cancun, and Punta Cana.
Beyond the fast-acting flight promo, the airline is also using the annual campaign to boost earning rates across its entire ecosystem of hotel, rental car, and cruise partners through August 6, 2026.
If you prefer to book your flight and room together, Delta Vacations is offering up to $275 in savings on eligible vacation packages, allowing travelers to stack savings while earning Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) toward elite status. For standalone lodging, booking through Delta Stays will net travelers 4X miles per dollar alongside VIP access perks like room upgrades and food credits at select properties.
Delta has also expanded its rewards partnership with Airbnb. Members continue to earn 1 mile per dollar on home bookings, but through August 6, travelers can score 3 miles per dollar plus a one-time bonus of 2,000 miles when booking a qualifying Airbnb Experience or Service of $50 or more (for travel completed by March 31, 2027).

Booking a rental car through Delta Cars can yield up to 16X miles per dollar with Hertz (depending on your elite status tier), 8X miles with Dollar and Thrifty, and 4X miles with major brands like Enterprise, National, Avis, Budget, and SIXT. Meanwhile, booking a cabin through Delta Cruises unlocks 3X miles per dollar on interior and oceanview staterooms, jumping to 4X miles on balcony rooms and suites.
Even if you are staying put this autumn, you can harvest extra miles for future trips. Delta Gift Card purchases of $300 or more will earn bonus miles scaling up to 5X for Platinum and Diamond Medallion members, while back-to-school and fall wardrobe shopping through the SkyMiles Shopping portal can yield up to 2,000 bonus miles through August 10.
